Lucy and Renee are such fans of their own show that you see when they’re interacting with the fans and watching the show along with them they sometimes zone out and become completely encapsulated by what they’re watching and you see the Xenites just watching them watching the show like “See? 🥹”
It’s in that moment that we feel a special kinship with Lucy and Renee and really all the creators/cast/crew because we were always in solidarity with each other.
I haven’t been apart of such an experience between the creators/cast/crew and community since. They’re really something very special in our little Xenaverse family.
I think the way Bruce Campbell put it once really defines what I mean. It was when they had found out that Kevin Smith had died and all the creators/cast/crew were in the same building at a Xena convention and he turns and says to them “At least we’re together”
And Steven L. Sears says “Yeah, we are.”
And Bruce clarifies,… “No, we’re together. All of us.”
Meaning creators/cast/crew and the Xenite community.
And yeah, that pretty much says it all. This is our family.
I think ever since Kev’s passing we knitted closer together and we have been that close ever since.
