Legacy or discovered?: She believes she was discovered but that’s only partially true; the academy did have an interest in her for her skills but she was unaware that her parents were also a part of the academy.
How many years have they been at AAE?: Just began her fourth year.
Specialty: Mostly technology & hacking. (although she prefers espionage and interrogation and is surprisingly good at it.)
Weaknesses: Isolation or being cut off from the world. A large fear of losing the few people she allows herself to become close to. And for some reason she has a strangely strong aversion to the cold…
Bio: Born into one of the largest and well-known industries in the world, Elsa Arendal was in the public’s eye since the day she was born. The company started by her great-grandfather grew in name and popularity over the years and by the time her parents took it over, Arendal & Co. was one of the biggest names in technology in the world.
But owning a multi-billion dollar corporation was not all her parents did.
Unbeknownst to Elsa, both of her parents were spies graduated from AAE. They kept this a secret from their daughter out of fear for her safety and did the best they could trying to give her a “normal” upbringing – unfortunately, that didn’t last very long. Becoming increasingly paranoid over the years from having such a well-known name while also having such a compromising and dangerous position in secret, Elsa’s parents became so concerned with their daughters safety that at the age of 8, they pulled her out of school and moved to a new home - a home that was well hidden and inconspicuous. For years Elsa was left in this house with only a few rooms as freedom to roam about – the public was told it was because they wanted their child to grow up out of the spotlight. Elsa was never told the real reason for her isolation. She studied on her own and under her parents guidance for the next few years, inventing technologies and coming up with ideas that would help further the company will also devouring information on anything and everything she could get her hands on. After all, she had all the time in the world to study the world she never got to see.
Then one day, at the age of 16, Elsa’s parents suddenly died. All she was told about their deaths was that it was an “accident” - assuming that meant a car crash, she has yet to this day to learn if that was, indeed, the truth or not. Regardless, Elsa took this opportunity to set out for the freedom she never had. Donning the name Elle, she took to the streets and learned how to provide for herself; her quick wit, independence, and intelligence made it relatively easy to get by. But now the company was left to an Aunt she hardly ever heard about and was less than incompetent to run it - after realizing this a while later, she devised a plan to take over the company herself behind the scenes, without letting anyone be aware that is truly her doing so. Being that Elsa’s parents went to AAE, the academy had an eye on her from the beginning, but were on the fence about accepting her into the academy, wanting to respect her parents wishes, especially after their death. 2 years after the death of her parents a decision was finally made and a letter sent to the young woman. Hesitant at first, Elsa eventually accepted and entered into the academy, seeing as she had no other path or direction to take with her life at that point in time.
Allegiance: Loyal to AAE.
Clique: Belongs to the Peacemakers but might as well be a part of Lost - she is reserved and has very few friends, has no interest in getting close to anyone (mostly because she has no idea how) and focuses entirely on her training. Her ‘clique’ status is on the fringe but she tries not to let it bother her. Has no idea that she could probably be a member of Elite as the academy has never bothered to tell her about her parents “double life.”
