Standing in the quiet, darkened streets of Ala Mhigo I felt fear clutch at my heart. A fear that maybe this time I wouldn’t make it back. A fear of what I would do if he did not make it back.
X’rhun Tia
Ever since I was introduced to him as a character (and I can thank my wife for the obsession that quickly came afterwards), I’ve been frustrated to no end in that X’rhun Tia is not a voiced character. I tend to mentally focus on the voice of characters when I write them, so my brain is just a constant ‘???’ whenever I try to work with the muse of Local Red Mage Catdaddy™.
I have pondered offhandedly on several options, but only today have I found one that works perfectly for him - or to me personally, at least.
May I offer the wonderful voice of Jeremy Irons, who has an absolutely lovely deep tone, accent and even general speech mannerisms. He is also the voice of Scar from The Lion King (1994 movie obviously, as I will never acknowledge any other recent versions Disney soullessly tried to scramble together), so that’s the connection if you're a millennial and happen to find his voice familiar.
Also imagine the Energy™ of this clip of Brom from Eragon talking about magic, but instead it’s X’rhun teaching you or a character about red magic.
What do you guys think?
