Escape | What do they do to de-stress? How successful is it?

I guess “stress” is an odd term for Katherine. I’m taking this to mean the pressure put on her by constantly being on the run. She doesn’t really deal with it? Though a terrible feeling, it is good for her; keeps her vigilant, alive. She’s not in the habit of examining the emotional toll the road takes on her, either. It’s all conveniently locked away with other feelings that might encourage onset of the phenomenon called weakness. 0/10 in terms of how successful she is at de-stressing. 

Needing to be dealt with more often is frustration or displeasure. Things go wrong, she’s too used to demanding for ( and getting ) what she wants. If her situation allows, she’d get really drunk, which is not always a practical solution because having her wits about her is Katherine’s one way to ensure survival.It’s also fun to take it out on someone, verbally, physically. Mostly the latter.

Fluff | What hits their soft spot? Does anything turn them into emotional goo?

Jaded | Do they buy into the “happily ever after” ideal? What’s their standard?

She does, though. Katherine has always had in her head a picture of life after she’s attained freedom. A world without Klaus or one where she’s shaken him off permanently.

Free & free to do as she pleases; she will no longer have the need to be Katherine Pierce; there will be no more requirement for lying, scheming, manipulating, maiming, or murdering in the name of survival. She’ll have the rest of eternity to be the person she was supposed to be if she hadn’t had to run, find a love she can actually keep; be happy. 

But of course, all that’s Katherine‘s conjectures regarding such a scenario. She’s not exactly given it thorough consideration, and all the “I can be good” crap comes on the condition that she gets what she wants. Besides, the Katherine facade is more her than it is a mask after five centuries; she’s too set in her ways to fully give them up in hopes of becoming once more the Katerina who’s more fanciful ideals than actual memories in her own mind. 

And if ever she found a way out of running, she would quickly grow bored with a “normal”, peaceful life.
