â»Kenma Kozumeâă
Practice had ended twenty minutes ago, but the sound of volleyballs and laughter still echoed faintly through Nekomaâs gym. Most of the team lingeredâstretching, chatting, and unwinding after drills that had nearly flattened Lev (again).
Kenma sat cross-legged on the bench, Switch in hand, earbuds dangling but not plugged in. He wasnât really playingâjust...existing. That was usually enough to keep everyone from bothering him. Usually.
Unfortunately, today was not one of those days.
Kuroo TetsurĆ, self-proclaimed âresponsible captainâ and professional chaos generator, noticed something immediately.Kenma was smiling.
Not his usual polite half-smile or the tiny lift of his mouth when Lev tripped over his own feetâthis one was subtle but different. Softer. The kind of smile you didnât get from beating a boss in a game.
Kurooâs instincts tingled.
He leaned an elbow on the bench beside Kenma, his grin practically glowing with mischief.âYou lookâŠhappy,â he said.
Kenma blinked. âIâm always happy.â
Kuroo raised an eyebrow. âKenma. Youâre literally never happy.âYaku, who was tying his shoes nearby, snorted. âIf Kenmaâs smiling, it means somethingâs up.â
Levâs head popped up instantly. âWait, whatâs up? Did something happen? Did Kenma-san beat me at something again?â
âYou lose to him every day, Lev,â Inuoka laughed.
Kenma kept staring at his console, pretending to be too invested to answer, but the slight flush creeping up his neck betrayed him.
Kuroo noticed immediately.
âOhhh, no way,â Kuroo said, dragging the words out like a cat playing with its food. âKenma, youâve got that I-did-something-I-donât-want-anyone-to-know-about face.â
âI donât have a face.â
âMm-hm. So what were you doing Sunday?â
Kenma froze. The pause lasted exactly half a second too long.
And that was all it took.
âHE WAS DOING SOMETHING!â Lev yelled, pointing dramatically like heâd solved a crime.
Kenma groaned. âI was⊠out.â
âOut where?â Yaku pressed, smiling in that older-brother-who-knows-too-much way.
Kenmaâs eyes darted toward his bag, as if he could hide inside it. âJust out.âKuroo leaned back, smirk stretching ear to ear. âOut⊠with anyone we know?â
âNo.â
Lev gasped. âHe didnât deny it!â
At this point, the whole team was paying attention. Even Kai, ever the responsible vice-captain, was smiling behind his towel.
Kenmaâs grip on his Switch tightened. âYouâre all annoying.â
Kuroo chuckled. âCâmon, weâre just happy for you. You, our little homebody, actually went outside for something other than volleyball or game releases. Thatâs character development.â
âItâs none of your business,â Kenma muttered.
âOh, I think itâs exactly my business,â Kuroo said with fake seriousness. âAs your best friend, I deserve to know whatâor whoâput that look on your face.â
Kenmaâs cheeks turned pink. He opened his mouth, closed it again, and finally mumbled, âYouâre unbearable.â
That was basically an admission.
The entire gym erupted. Lev was confused as hell. Yaku was practically wheezing. Even Kaiâs shoulders shook with laughter.
âKenma-san! I canât believe youâre blushing!â Lev crowed.
âIâm not.â
âYou are! Itâs likeâbright pink!â
Kenma tugged his hoodie up, hiding half his face. âI hate all of you.â
âAw, donât be shy,â Kuroo teased, still grinning. âWeâre just proud. Our quiet little setter, finallyââ
âKuroo,â Kenma interrupted flatly, âif you finish that sentence, Iâm deleting your save file.â
That shut him up.For three seconds.
Then Kuroo laughed so hard he nearly dropped his towel.âFine, fine,â he said. âIâll stop. But man, you should see your face right now.â
Kenma sighed, half-exasperated, half-smiling despite himself. He tucked his Switch away and stood, muttering something about catching the train home.
As he passed Kuroo, the captain couldnât resist one last jab.
âHey, Kenma?â
Kenma paused, wary. âWhat.â
âTell her we said hi.â
Kenma didnât even dignify that with a response. He just walked outâhoodie up, face warm, and the faintest grin tugging at his lips.Behind him, the teamâs laughter filled the gymâloud, teasing, familiar.
And though heâd never admit it, Kenma didnât really mind.
â»Kuroo TetsurĆâă
Kenmaâs apartment smelled faintly of cup noodles and instant curryâthe usual scent of a Nekoma hangout.
The living room was cluttered but cozy; wires, controllers, and empty snack wrappers lined the coffee table like trophies of survival.
Kuroo had claimed his usual spot on the floor, back against the couch, a satisfied grin tugging at his mouth as he stretched his long legs out. Yaku sat cross-legged opposite him, scrolling on his phone, while Lev and Inuoka were arguing over who cheated in Mario Kart.
Kenma sat quietly by the TV, unbothered, his Switch in handâthe eye of the storm, as always.
The air was lazy, familiar.
Then Yaku, with the precision of a libero reading a spike, dropped the question that changed everything.âSo, Kuroo,â Yaku said casually, not looking up from his phone. âWhoâs the girl you were walking home with yesterday?â
The room went silent.
Levâs head whipped around so fast he almost knocked over a soda can. Kenma actually paused his game. Inuoka looked scandalized.
Kuroo blinked once, twice, then gave that trademark, half-lidded smirk.âOh? You following me now, Yakkun?â
âDonât change the subject.â Yaku grinned like a cat about to sink its claws in. âYou were with someone. [Hair-colour] hair, right? Cute. Didnât look like just a friend.â
Kuroo exhaled through his nose, playing it coolâclassic captain behavior. âMaybe Iâm just expanding my social circle.â
ââSocial circle,â he says,â Lev laughed, nearly choking on chips. âThatâs what people say when theyâre totally dating someone!âKenma, from the corner, muttered, âSo thatâs why you were late to practice this morning.â
âEt tu, Kenma?â Kuroo turned toward him, mock-betrayed.Kenma shrugged without looking up. âYou were smiling at your phone. It was weird.â
Kurooâs grin faltered for half a secondâlong enough for the entire team to notice.âWait, smiling at your phone?â Inuoka gasped, eyes wide. âYou never even answer my texts!â
Yaku leaned forward, grinning. âHe was definitely texting her.â
âI was notââ
âWas it that person from the last day that you gave lunch to?â Kenma inquired.
The second Kuroo froze, the roomâs collective chaos instinct activated.
âLunch too?!â Yaku yelled, practically leaping off the couch. âOh, heâs gone soft! Our fearless captain is in love!â
Lev gasped like a drama actor. âWaitâwas it homemade?!â
Kuroo sighed. âYou people are insufferable.â
âThat means yes!â Lev cried triumphantly, spinning to high-five Inuoka.
Kenma, eyes still glued to his Switch, murmured, âHe brought it in a fancy box, too.â
That did it. The entire room howled. Yaku dropped backward onto the carpet, cackling. Lev was clutching his stomach. Inuoka looked genuinely impressed.
âFancy box?â Yaku wheezed. âKuroo! Youâre not just dating, youâre whipped!â
Kuroo pinched the bridge of his nose, trying and failing to look composed. âIt was food, Yakkun. People eat food.â
âPeople donât smile like that over food,â Kenma said simply.
Kurooâs composure crackedâjust a little. His grin twitched. âI smiled because it was good food.â
âSure,â Yaku said, voice dripping with mock sympathy. âAnd I only smile at my protein shakes then.â Lev practically fell over. âOh no, heâs red! Look, Yaku, heâs blushing!â
âIâm not blushing,â Kuroo muttered, ears visibly pink. Kenma tilted his head, pretending to think. âYour face gets that color when youâre flustered. Or when you get a text from her.â
That was it. The room exploded again.
Kuroo groaned, covering his face with a pillow. âYouâre all children.âYaku grinned wickedly. âAnd yet, here you are, hiding behind a pillow like one.â
Kenma finally looked up from his console, his voice as calm as ever. âIf you didnât want them to notice, you shouldnât have kept smiling at your phone.â
Kuroo peeked over the pillow, meeting Kenmaâs unbothered gaze. âYouâre supposed to be on my side.â
Kenma shrugged. âYou started this.âLev gasped dramatically again. âWaitâyou started it?! What did you do?â
Kuroo smirked weakly, pushing himself upright. âI made the mistake of having friends, apparently.â
âFriends?â Yaku repeated, incredulous. âYou mean girlfriend.â
That word landed like a serveâeveryone turned toward Kuroo, waiting for a denial.
He opened his mouth.
Paused.
Then shrugged.
âMaybe,â he said, lips quirking.
It wasnât confirmation, but it wasnât denial eitherâand that was enough to set off another wave of laughter.
âMaybe?!â Yaku shouted. âThatâs worse than admitting it!â
Kenma just smirked faintly, turning back to his Switch. âHeâs flustered. Leave him alone before he short-circuits.â
Kuroo threw a cushion at himâit bounced harmlessly off Kenmaâs shoulder. âAlright, alright,â Kuroo said, laughing now, too. âYou win. Happy?â
Yaku grinned. âEcstatic.â
Lev gave him a thumbs-up. âWe just wanted to see you blush, Captain!â
Kurooâs grin softened, a little sheepish but genuine. âYou guys are the worst.â
Kenma, deadpan as ever, said, âWeâre Nekoma.â
That earned a round of agreementâand laughter that lingered long after the teasing died down.
Later that night, as the team left one by one, Kuroo lingered by the window, phone buzzing in his pocket.
He checked the message, saw your name light up the screenâand that quiet, unguarded smile returned.
âYeah,â he murmured to himself, âdefinitely the worst.â
But his grin said he didnât mind one bit.
â»Morisuke Yakuâă
The locker room after a match was always loudâthe kind of loud that only a Nekoma victory could cause.
Kuroo was leaning against a bench, towel slung over his shoulder, grinning at the noise around him.
Lev was bragging about almost getting an ace, Kenma was half-listening with a deadpan stare, and YakuâŠwell, Yaku was being suspiciously quiet.
That alone was cause for alarm.
Kuroo noticed it first. âOi, Yakkun. Youâre not yelling at Lev for once. Did you hit your head?â
Lev perked up immediately. âWait, he didnât even yell when I missed that block earlier!â
Kenma glanced up. âThatâs true. He just sighed. It was unsettling.â
Yaku looked up from his phone, frowning. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
Kuroo smirked. âIt means youâve been⊠calmer lately. Kinder. Softer. Almost likeââ
âDonât say it,â Yaku warned.
ââsomeone in love,â Kuroo finished with a grin.
Lev gasped so hard he dropped his water bottle. âYaku-sanâs in love?!â
âIâm notâ!â Yaku started, but it was too late.
The room erupted.
âOhhh, that explains it!â Inuoka laughed. âHeâs been smiling more!â
âWait, wait,â Lev said, eyes sparkling with mischief. âWho is she?!â
Kenma, of course, didnât even look up. âProbably the person who brought him those snacks last week.â
Kurooâs grin widened. âSnacks?â
Yaku froze. âKENMA!â
Kenma blinked, pretending to be innocent. âYou told me not to tell anyone.â
âThen why did youâugh!â Yaku buried his face in his hands.
Kuroo was already cackling. âYaku, youâve been hiding snacks from us? From me?â
âThey werenât for you!â Yaku snapped, face burning. Lev gasped dramatically again. âSo they were from her!â
Yaku glared daggers at him. âLev, if you donât shut upââ
Kuroo cut in, smirking. âWas it a âthanks for helping meâ kind of snack, or a âI like youâ kind of snack?â
âI will end you,â Yaku muttered.
ââI like you,ââ Kenma said flatly.
That set off another explosion of laughter.
âKenma!â Yaku shouted, mortified.
Kenma shrugged. âYou blushed when you opened the box.â
âI DID NOT!â
âYou did,â Kenma said. âYour ears turned red.â
Lev pointed dramatically. âTheyâre turning red right now!â
âBECAUSE YOUâRE ALL ANNOYING!â
Kuroo was laughing so hard he had to sit down. âOh man, this is better than I expected.â
Yaku tried to storm out, but Kuroo caught his shoulder. âCome on, donât be mad. Weâre happy for you.â
Yaku hesitated, grumbling. âYouâre not happy for me, youâre enjoying my suffering.â
âBoth can be true,â Kuroo said cheerfully. Kenma, still playing, added, âYou should thank her. Youâve been less scary lately.â
Yaku groaned, running a hand through his hair. âYou guys are impossible.â
Kuroo leaned closer, teasing but softer now. âSeriously, though. Sheâs good for you. You smile more.â
That earned him a glare that didnât quite stick. ââŠYouâre imagining things.â
âMaybe,â Kuroo said, still smiling. âBut if she makes our libero a little happier, Iâll take it.â
Yakuâs expression softenedâbarelyâbefore he grabbed his bag and muttered, âYou all talk too much.â
As he left, Lev whispered loudly, âHe didnât deny it that time!â
Kuroo grinned. âHeh progress.â
Kenma smirked faintly. âHeâs blushing.â
âIâM NOT!â Yakuâs voice echoed down the hallwayâfollowed by the door slamming shut.
The whole team burst out laughing.
Later, when the gym finally quieted, Kuroo walked past the bench and noticed Yakuâs phone left behind, lighting up with a text.
The name on the screen was yours.
Kuroo smiled, shaking his head. âYeah, heâs doomed.â
â»Lev Haibaâă
The sound of sneakers squeaking and volleyballs bouncing had finally faded from Nekomaâs gym. The team lingered as always, cooling down, chattering, stretchingâor in Kenmaâs case, quietly existing in a corner with his Switch.
Lev, however, was on another planet.
He was sprawled across the floor, grinning so wide it looked painful, humming something tuneless under his breath. Every few seconds he giggled. Actually giggled.
It was suspicious.
Kuroo, towel around his neck, squinted down at him. âAlright, Haiba. Whatâs with the face?â
Lev blinked up. âHuh?â
âThat stupidly happy look,â Yaku said, arms crossed. âYou didnât even block any spikes today, so it canât be volleyball.â
Lev clutched his chest dramatically. âOw, Yaku-san! That hurt!â
Yaku sighed. âAnswer the question, beanpole.â Levâs grin somehow got wider. âItâs nothing! Just a good day!â
Kenma didnât even look up. âYouâre too loud for ânothing.ââThe others were starting to notice too. Inuoka was grinning. Kai had that oh no, here it comes expression.
Finally, Kuroo crouched beside him, a catlike smile on his face. âLevâŠdid this âgood dayâ happen to involve someone?â
Lev sat up fast, eyes wide. âWhat?! No!â
Everyone stared.
He flailed. âOkay, maybe!â
The gym erupted.
âMaybe?!â Yaku yelled. âThatâs the same as yes!â
âOh, Lev!â Inuoka said, laughing. âWho is she?â
Kenma muttered, âHeâs not going to shut up about this for weeks.â
Levâs ears went pink. He waved his arms, talking way too fast. âItâs not like that! We justâsheâuhâwanted to watch practice sometime! I said yes! Thatâs it!â
Kurooâs grin turned positively evil. âOh, thatâs it? You invited her to watch practice? Our Levâs bringing a fan to the gym now?â
Lev sputtered. âNo! Sheâs just curious! Sheâuhâlikes volleyball!â
âSure she does,â Yaku said dryly.
Lev groaned, burying his face in his hands. âYou guys are the worst.â
Kenma, in his usual monotone, said, âYou say that, but youâre still smiling.â
And he was. His whole face was lit up, no matter how hard he tried to hide it.
âFine!â he blurted, springing to his feet. âSheâs really nice, okay? She brought me coffee, and said my serves looked good, andââ
Kuroo choked. âWait, she complimented your serves?â Yaku fell over laughing. âThatâs how you know itâs serious.â
Levâs blush deepened to crimson. âYouâre all jealous!â he yelled, pointing at them dramatically.
âJealous?â Yaku gasped between laughs. âIâm just impressed anyone survives a date with you talking this much.â
Kenma finally paused his game long enough to glance up. âHeâll scare her away before the warm-upâs over.â
âHEY!â Lev shouted. âYouâre supposed to be my friends!â
Kuroo stood, clapping him on the shoulder, half-laughing, half-proud. âWe are, Lev. And thatâs why weâre going to be right here when she comes to watch practice.â
Lev froze in horror. âYou wouldnât.â
âOh, we would,â Yaku said, grinning wickedly.
Kenma nodded. âIâll even record it.â
Lev let out a dramatic groan, collapsing to the floor again. âYouâre all evil!â
Kuroo chuckled. âYou love us.â
Lev peeked up from under his arm, pouting but still smiling. â...Yeah, I guess I do.â
Kuroo ruffled his hair. âGood. Because weâre definitely telling Coach sheâs your âmotivation.ââ
âKUROO-SAN!â
The gym filled with laughterâloud, teasing, genuine. Levâs protests didnât help; if anything, they made everyone laugh harder.
And when practice finally wrapped up for real, Kuroo caught him smiling again, phone in hand, typing something fast.
He didnât say anything this timeâjust nudged Yaku and nodded toward Levâs grin.
âLook at that,â Kuroo said quietly. âOur giant idiotâs growing up.â
Yaku smirked. âYeah, but heâs still our idiot.â
Lev didnât hear themâtoo busy rereading your text and grinning all over again.

"getting caught making out w hq boys!" suggestive!!! ft: Hinata Shoyo, Suna Rintaruo, Yaku Morisuke x gn!reader
Hinata Shoyo:
Originally you planned to watch a movie with Hinata at his house, in his room.
Instead hot and heavy breaths filled the four walls, along with the faint sound of the long forgotten movie playing from his old laptop. He was palming your waist, keeping you sat on his thigh while his tongue slipped past your lips. You kissed him back, tugging at his hair. The muscles of his thigh flexed underneath you with every rock of your hips, just right. Almost like his body knew exactly what you needed. Tilting his head up by gripping his jaw, you kissed him deeper. More more and more. You needed him more than anything. "please Sho" you gently whimpered against his lips. "Shhh" he shushed you, pressing his lips against yours again. You tugged his hair, making him jerk his head back. He breathed heavily, looking up at you with nothing more than need. His hands slipped under your shirt, making your skin tingle at the sudden warmth of his palms over your bare hips. Your arms wrapped around his shoulders, pulling him closer. He started kissing your neck, while you continued grinding down on his thigh. Soft moans and breaths left you. His palms rolled over your hips, moving you in his own rhythm suddenly. "Sho- f-fuck!" You gasped.
Suddenly the door of his room burst open, making both of you freeze.
"Shoyo! Have you seen my pencil case?" Natsu asked, peeking inside. "No, I haven't." He answered her, with a groan, keeping his forehead against your shoulder, probably to hide his flustered face. There goes your moment.
Suna Rintarou:
He had been waiting all day, watching you pass him in the halls quickly between classes. But now he finally had you to himself. The two of you were in an empty classroom, school had finished, you should be fine. Suna was sure of that, just like you. He stood between your legs, kissing you as you sat on a desk. Your hands were tangled in his hair, tugging and pulling him closer as you pleased. He hummed against your lips, his tongue slipping into your mouth while you moaned. Your tongue pushed against his, while your legs wrapped around his hips, pulling him even closer. Suna felt himself growing dizzy, partly because he reallly fucking needed to breathe. He squeezed your thigh, a sign for you to ease up. Relucantly you pulled away, watching him pant and looking at the pretty blush dusting his cheeks. "You're so pretty" He muttered, while you pulled him closer by the tie of his uniform. A smile stretched across your lips, while your fingers loosened his tie. "Kiss me again" And who was he to deny you? His hand started wandering up your thigh in the middle of your kiss, making you whimper.
"YOOO!" A familiar voice boomed through the empty classroom. Your eyes widened in shock while a huge sense of dread and annyoance washed over you. You probably overheard the door opening. Suna didn't even seem fazed anymore. You peeked at the loud twin over Suna's shoulder, your brows furrowing. "You're the worst"
Yaku Morisuke:
Practice ended thirty minutes ago almost, but Yaku was still in the changing room. You were supposed to go on a date, so you came by when practice ended to walk into town with Yaku. But he wasn't done changing, so he asked you to stay just a bit longer with him. One thing lead to another and you were pushed against one of the many lockers, with his knee between your thighs while he kissed your neck. You tilted your head to the side, letting him kiss down your neck. "Yaku..." You moaned, your entire body squirming when he started nibbling on a more sensitive part of your neck. You felt your knees buckle underneath you, but he was quick to steady you with two strong hands on each side of your hips. "I got you" He whispered. Then he lifted his head, going back to kissing you. You parted your lips for him, letting him take control. The kiss was needy and hungry, like he couldn't get enough of you. Because he honestly couldn't. His hands wandered from your hips to your thighs, lifting one just a bit so he could hear you moan against him at the friction. He pulled away, only a string of saliva connecting the two of you. For a moment he just took the sight of you in. You were breathing heavily, your lips were swollen from his kisses and he couldn't help himself. He leaned in again, barely giving either of you time to propely breathe. You felt his teeth gently bite down on your lower lip and you both whimpered in perfect sync.
So perfect you didn't hear the door opening.
"YAKU-SAN!?" You both stopped instantly. The voice was so familiarly loud, you could imagine his expression without even having to look at him. Never before have you wanted to sink into the floor so badly. And Yaku hadn't felt so pissed in a while. "LEV! GET OUT!"
