it's your first halloween since the breakup. this time, you're not in a matching costume with him. no more forcing him into it. the feeling of him acting like he hated it, but he didn't. especially because it made you so happy.
as a greek goddess, you looked ethereal; in a short white dress that flowed with every step and gold jewelry gleamed all over your body, and eyes laced with the shine— every bit the goddess he used to worship.
"i call next on beer pong, c'mon. i'll show you how it's done." the familiar voice beamed over all the noise and every other person around you.
his laughter too. you shouldn’t still know the difference between his real laugh and his 'i can't stand this idiot' laugh.
but you did— and it made you nauseous.
"hey, maybe don't turn around..." kiara grimaced, biting the rim of her red solo cup.
"what? what's wrong?" you spun around, following the sound of him without thinking— like it was coded into you.
spotting him instantly, you really can't believe your eyes. what the fuck?
a greek god.
he was a greek god. you were a greek goddess.
you were fucking matching.
"i tried to warn you," she groaned, looking at you with a frown.
a golden wreath crown, the white toga, and his flip flop sandals. he looked different. his buzz cut was stiffly growing out, but he knew he made it work.
maybe you’re seeing things, but his arms were bigger, more defined than you remembered. he didn't look good— no, he looked… hot.
why does every little detail of him haunt you?
as the party went on, you both kept missing each other's gazes. rafe watched you interact with every guy, every girl, and even your drink. a habit he hadn't dropped since the breakup it seemed.
and you, fighting a proud smile, watched him win beer pong over and over again. his cocky, asshole toothy grin and waving his arms up in the air— motioning for cheers.
drink after drink, you've already lost count. your feet hurt in those ridiculous heels, you felt sticky around the humid house party, and you needed to hide in the bathroom for a breather. asap.
"hey, i'm going to the bathroom. i'll be right back!" you shouted by kie's ear.
she nodded. "need me to come with?" she asked knowingly. even if you didn't tell her how you felt, you were radiating your emotions through the amount of drinks and sighs escaping you subconsciously.
"no, i'm okay. thank you," giving a false smile, you turned and made your way to the stupidly long line for the bathroom. stumbling past tipsy dancers, strangers locked in kisses, and a karaoke corner belting out off-key tunes, you finally made it to the back of the line.
a girl flew out of the closet, clearly furious, and plowed into you. you tripped on your own feet and pitched backward, arms flailing.
someone caught you from behind, arms grasped around your waist.
your heart relaxed with relief, and you stood yourself straight, "jeez, thank you so—" you dusted yourself off, looked up, and paused. "rafe?"
"hello," he chuckled. "are you okay? that chick just zoomed right past you. good thing i was here."
"right..." you fixed yourself without even noticing. "yes, i'm good."
and for some reason, your heart seemed to be struggling figuring out if you're face to face with a lion rather than your ex boyfriend… but both situations were plausible for the most part.
"i like your costume," his eyes moved ever so slowly down your body, like he had forgotten and needed the memory back desperately.
you groaned, cheeks pink with embarrassment, "yeah, thanks. showing up to a halloween party and accidentally matching with my ex wasn't exactly on my bingo card for tonight."
"it isn't so bad," he pointed at you. "you look good, i look good. mostly you look really good, doll."
you nodded awkwardly. but honestly, there were a million butterflies in your stomach.
a weird cloud of silence filled the space between you two.
he held your gaze like it mattered more than anything, even as you darted your eyes everywhere else. the effect he had on you was impossible to shake.
you cackled, hand hovering over your lips. "i'm so sorry."
"what are you laughing at, drunky?"
"no, no. you're right. i'm really drunk. this is just so much funnier drunk for some reason," your words slurred as you went.
"what is?" he tilted his head at the way you talked.
"the accidental matching costumes. running into you. no— literally falling into your arms. it's funny, right?"
rafe let out a low laugh, a smirk tugging at his lips. he was having fun with you, even if the rest of the world would never know— only you, if you dared to ask.
"i hope i won't have to carry you home again." he elbowed your arm teasingly, reminding you of last halloween’s memories.
you rolled your eyes, smiling small. "kie's been getting pretty buff. i think it'll be her this time."
"kie's a mermaid. i'm a greek god. shouldn't it be me?" he snickered, flexing an arm for you. "c'mon, look at that."
"you're something else. how do we always end up crossing paths?" you pushed his arm down (also to feel the progress secretly).
you smiled, tilting your head as he laughed. the tipsy warmth in your chest refused to let you look away, even if you wanted to.
"don’t just look at me like that… i expect more than that from a goddess," he bit his lip, something he did when deep in thought.
you didn't say anything. you were already playing out the rest of the night in your head. maybe that was the issue between you two.
rafe was always in the now with ease, but you? you were always in the future, a hundred steps ahead and overthinking each one. too many clashes.
but from now until the moment you get home, he stayed close, never leaving your side. kie kept glancing at you, making sure you were okay. and as the minutes passed, you and kie got progressively drunker. rafe refused to leave you two alone, insisting on staying involved.
eventually, he dropped kie off at her house, then on the way to yours, his eyes never leaving you during the car ride. he even fed you a granola bar and handed you water from the center console, like he couldn’t help but take care of you.
and when he carried you out from the truck, he kept you close against him, arms keeping his jacket wrapped around you. you couldn't even recall the second he put it on you either…
and by the time you were inside the house, rafe brought you up to your bedroom, tucking you in and taking off your makeup.
"i don't know if us crossing paths often is good or bad— but i miss you, sweet girl." he muttered as he tossed the makeup wipes away.
he just watched you for a bit, and you pretended you were asleep.
because the second you fell asleep, you would wake up and realize that you would never get that version of him back.
the one who laughed too loud at parties, who carried you into your house without a second thought, who made even the chaos feel like a dream.
like seeing you in a costume that mirrored his and remembering how close you once were— rafe cameron was only effortless, only captivating, when he wasn't really yours.

“Do you ever just wonder if-”
“No.” Jason is quick to cut you off.
You're laying back on the ledge of some random apartment building, staring up at the smoggy Gotham sky, talking random bullshit while you waited for something to happen. Your leg swings over the edge, back and forth, boots scuffing against the brick building with each pass.
Jason is going to lose his mind.
He loves you, there's no doubt about that. Loves you, loves patrolling with you, loves fighting with you (alongside and otherwise). What he doesn't love is how quiet Gotham had been tonight. It has him on edge and the scraping of your boot against brick is making the hairs on the back of his neck raise, like a dog ready to bite.
“Okay, but-”
“No.”
You peer over at him and smile to yourself. He's pacing like a caged animal, head on a swivel as he peers out over the city streets below.
“Maybe everyone's inside watching the Knights game. First one of the season, a good Gothamite never misses the first game.” You try to ease his tension with a shitty joke. He scoffs in return.
“We're missing the first game.” He points out.
“Yeah but we're pretty shitty Gothamites, so.”
That gets him to smile. You can't even see it beneath his helmet but you can see it in the way his shoulders lower, you can hear it in the way he slowly exhales like he's trying to release his pent up tension.
“We are.” He agrees and his voice is softer behind the modulator.
Good, you think to yourself.
The silence between the two of you grows more comfortable as the minutes tick by. Nothing on the police scanners, nothing on coms, even B had called it a night just a few hours ago - taking Damian home early.
“Hey, do you think we should just call it?” You ask Jason. Now you're getting bored.
Jason's quiet a minute before he finally shakes his head. “No, something's coming. I can feel it.”
You roll your eyes, “Mhm, okay. Didn't know you had a sixth sense for crime.” You mumble, holding back a snort. Jason shoots you a small glare behind his mask.
But, as he often is, Jason is right. Not even five minutes later there's shouting at the end of the street. You slowly sit up, groaning along the way as Jason comes to stand beside you.
“Mugging or assault?” You ask when you begin to stretch your arms, readying yourself for the inevitable scuffle that's bound to happen.
“Mm…” Jason shakes his head slowly as he hums in thought. “Looks like it's just one guy screaming in the middle of the street. Let's go.”
So jumping from rooftop to rooftop you make it to the end of the block and take in the scene from above. Down below is a man, frantic, pulling at his hair, screaming. A car honks at the man and drives around him, agitating him further.
“Fear toxin?” Jason asks for your opinion. You him briefly before shaking your head.
“No, I don't think so. Crisis, maybe.” He nods in silent agreement. “But I think I know him.” Your head tilts the side, eyes narrowing.
“You know him?”
“Yeah, he looks like the houseless man who lives on the corner by my apartment. You know the one.”
“Oh, yeah. The one who always asks when you're gonna marry him.” You can hear the eyeroll under his mask.
“And the one who walks me across the street every night to make sure I get home safe.” You add on.
He was a sweet man with a few issues, but nice nonetheless. Asking for your hand in marriage was always done as a joke after he asked Jason one night when he was finally going to man up and marry you.
He would escort you over the crosswalk, never touching, always polite, with a playful “When are ya gonna let me make an honest woman outta ya?” You would laugh and tell him with some variation of, “I'm not sure yet, let me ask my boyfriend and I'll get back to you”.
Jason keeps an eye on the situation below and grunts, “You wanna handle it? I'll let B know an’-”
The sound of police sirens cuts him off and he curses under his breath.
“Shit, that's just what we need right now.” He scoffs sarcastically.
“I'll handle him. You handle the police.” You tell Jason.
"Oh goodie, my favorite people." Jason scoffs.
And just like that the two of you are springing into action.
“Mr. Roberts?” You call out from the sidewalk, slow and calculated to not cause anymore alarm. People are already starting to form a crowd, cars are honking trying to drive around the situation, the entire situation is chaos.
“Get away from me! How do you know my name?!” Mr. Roberts shouts at you, hands up in an almost placating gesture. Your heart breaks for him. Even in the midst of a crisis he's still trying to be polite.
The police are slowly rolling up, two patrol cars, and Jason's already on his way to stop them a good distance away - let them know the situation and that the two of you have it covered.
“Mr. Roberts,” you try again, your voice calm but firm. “I need you to listen to me. You know me-”
“No I don't! Get away!” He yells again.
“Nah, situations handled.” Jason's telling one of the officers, arms crossed over his chest. “Man's in crisis, s’not a big deal. Y'all can skedaddle on home now.”
“Listen, pal, just ‘cause you work with the Bat-” the officer is cut off with a low growl from Jason. His shoulder tense visibly. The officer is standing in the open door of his patrol car, like he's using it as a shield from Jason - Red Hood at the moment.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck…” you whisper to yourself. You're getting nowhere with Mr. Roberts and while you have an idea forming, you know it's one that'll probably end badly in the long run.
“Okay, Mr. Roberts-” You're still a good distance away, hands held up to let him know you're not a threat, “you know me.” You begin to reach up to take off your mask - if he can just see your face, see that you're a friend, someone safe. You can hear Jason arguing with the officers and he doesn't sound happy. None of them do.
“No I don't!” Mr. Roberts is panicking now as the police lights shine in his face. And then you see the glint of metal in his hand. He's holding a knife and the first thought in your head is that he's going to hurt himself.
The arguing stops, everything deathly quiet.
“I- I don't want to hurt anyone!” Mr. Roberts calls out to you.
“I know you don't, I know. I'm here to help, okay?” Your back is to the police, your focus solely on the man in front of you.
“Drop the weapon!!”
Fuck.
“Hey, dipshit, ya ain't helping!” You hear Jason snap at the officer.
“They're gonna kill me, they're gonna kill me-” Mr. Roberts repeats in a panic. His eyes are wide, almost bulging out of his head, his free hand grasping at his hair again.
You shake your head and take another step toward him, “No they're not. I won't let them, okay?” You tell him like it's a promise.
“I said drop your weapon!” The officer shouts again. You can hear the click as he cocks his gun.
“Hey! Put that fucking gun down now!” Jason shouts. He's nervous now as the officer points a gun at you and Mr. Roberts, that fear coming out as anger.
“Get back, Hood!” The officer's partner orders. But Jason doesn't move.
You know you need to move fast as everything begins to spiral out of control.
“Okay, Mr. Roberts-”
“Stop saying that like you know me!”
And then it all happens in slow motion.
Mr. Roberts holds his knife up, you lunge to reach for it before he can hurt himself, and then the ear shattering sound of a gun going off.
Once.
Twice.
You're quick to assess Mr. Roberts, eyes searching for any fatal gunshot wounds. He's standing frozen in front of you and lets his knife drop to the ground below with a clank.
“Are you okay?” You ask, but God why is it suddenly so hard to breathe?
You attempt to take a step forward but your leg gives out and before you can hit the ground Jason is in front of you, catching you.
“No, no, no, no, no.” Jason's slowly lowering you to the ground. “This wasn't supposed to happen-”
Your head is in his lap and oh, you found the gunshots that went off. Right in your stomach.
Everything around you fades into the background. The murmurs from the crowd, the sound of Jason screaming for someone to call for an ambulance.
You hear another gunshot and Mr. Roberts falls to the ground.
“No!” Your attempt to move is in vain as Jason holds you down.
“Stop it!” He snaps at you. Everything has gone to shit in a matter of seconds. “He got shot in the arm, he's fine.”
And then he's putting his hands on you and you cry out in pain when he puts pressure on your wounds.
“Shit, I know, I know. I know it hurts.” He tells you. Even with the modulator in his helmet you can hear the way his voice cracks. “Fuck! Okay. Okay, you're gonna be okay. You're gonna be fine.”
You can't tell if he's trying to convince you or himself.
“Jay.. it really hurts.” You take in a slow breath that makes your entire body feel like it's on fire but the adrenaline has kept you from crying out in pain so far.
“I know.”
“You get shot a lot.”
“I know.”
“What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Okay, now isn't the time for-”
And then the pain starts to set in. A sob wracks through your body and Jason tries to keep you still.
“Hey, hey, hey- deep breaths, okay? I know it hurts but crying and panicking will make it worse.”
You know he's trying to help, trying to keep you calm until paramedics show up. So you try. Despite the burning pain, despite the way your vision blurs and your hearing muffles, you try.
Through your shared coms you can hear Jason talking to Bruce back at the manor.
“I need an ambulance now and if these fuckers get near me again I'm gunning them all down, B.”
“Jason.” Bruce's voice cuts through, firm and commanding - a warning.
“I'm not fucking playing.” Jason's hand presses against your wounds again. Thick, warm blood seeps through his fingers, staining his glove red. “It's- it's bad, B.” His voice cracks.
You let out another cry, Jason curses again.
“I'm sorry, fuck I'm so sorry. I know, I know, I know. Bruce is sending an ambulance, you're gonna be okay. We're gonna get ya fixed up and go home, okay?” Tears turn his eyes glassy, makes the blue of his eyes stand out, makes the tip of his nose red.
You nod, wanting to believe him but it's getting harder with how much blood you're losing. It pools onto the concrete beneath you, warm and thick and sticky. Your fingers are starting to feel cold despite the warm summer air.
“I got you. You hear that, baby?” He asks. His free hand comes up to cradle your face, blood smearing against your cheek. “They’re coming. I can hear the paramedics, they're almost here.” And you can hear them too, faintly. They sound further away than they are.
And then Jason's tapping your cheek, “Hey, eyes on me, yeah?” You hadn't even noticed that your eyes were closing.
There's the faint distant sound of medics telling people to get out of the way and yet-
“We need to secure the scene first.” An officer tells one of them.
Jason's head turns so fast it's a surprise his neck didn't snap.
“They need our help-” the medic argues.
“And we need to secure the scene. Now back up before I have you arrested.” The officers and medics go back and forth for what feels like an eternity
Jason looks back down at you. Your head in his lap, his hands on your face and wound. He doesn't want to leave you - he can't leave you. He knows you don't have the strength yourself to keep pressure on your wounds and he's terrified that if he leaves for a second you're going to bleed out.
But that'll happen either way if the medics can't get to you.
“Fuck this.” Jason growls. “I'll be right back. Don't fucking die on me.” He's quick to shrug off his jacket, placing it on the ground as he slowly lowers your head onto it. Your vision swims but you can see a blur of red out of your peripheral.
“Hey!” Jason snaps at the two police officers who are blocking the medics. He's loud, angry, even you can hear him from here you lay on the ground. “Get out of their fucking way.” He snarls.
“Son, you need to calm down-” the officer tells him. He's standing behind his open car door, hand held up to ‘placate’ Red Hood.
“This is fucking calm.” Jason growls.
And then he's grabbing both officers by their vests and tosses them with a force he didn't even know he was capable of. They sprawl across the concrete.
“Hey!” The third officer shouts at Jason from the opposite side of the patrol car. He's fumbling for his gun. Rookie.
Jason is quick to reel back, kicking the wheel well of the car with all of his strength. The car slides, the metal crunches, knocks the officer over, leaving skid marks on the pavement. He's seething.
“Can you get through now?” He asks the medic.
Her eyes are huge, wide with fear and something like admiration, but she nods.
“Y-yeah, yeah. We can.”
“Good. Go.”
The medic rushes back to the ambulance, her partner already pulling forward. Jason is quick to follow behind, jogging to keep up with the vehicle as it pulls ahead and stops in front of you.
“Heart rate is low, she's losing too much blood.”
“Don't forget the man over there!” Jason calls out to the medics.
In the chaos of it all you lose consciousness.
Jason paces in the hospital waiting room. He's been told to leave twice already but hospital security is too scared to go up to Red Hood a third time. The hours drag on and night slowly fades into morning. That's when your surgeon finally comes out to find Jason.
“You're with-”
“Yeah, yeah. How is she?” His helmets off, sitting on the bench that he's been pacing in front of for hours. His hair is a mess, deep heavy bags under his eyes. His clothes and gloves are still covered in your blood. Bruce offered to come by and bring him a fresh set, Dick as well, he told them don't bother.
The thought of being around anyone else right now set him on edge, made him ready to lash out.
“She's stable, for now.” The surgeon tells Jason. He visibly sags with relief. “It was touch and go for a long time. She coded on us once-” Jason bristles, his heart drops.
“But she's fine.” The surgeon added on quickly. “She pulled through and she's in recovery. I'm not sure when she'll wake up…” everything else is background noise to Jason.
You're alive. That's all that matters.
It's not until that night, almost twenty four hours later, that you fully wake up. Not the drowsy, barely there, moments that you'd had on occasion. And when you do finally come to Jason is there. You can feel his warm hand covering yours, hear his soft snores as he sleeps in the hospital chair next to your bed.
You move your fingers, just to move something, and Jason is already waking up.
“Hey, you're up.” His voice is rough with sleep. You hum in acknowledgement.
“‘m up.” You answer. Your voice is rough from disuse.
Jason's thumb rubs against the back of your hand, over the IV, gentle and warm.
“You scared me.” He admits in a whisper. He's still leaning back in his chair, eyes focused on you.
“Guess we're even.” You barely manage a smile.
“In more ways than one.”
You head tilts to the side, just barely, in confusion.
“Doc said you coded.” There's a note of pain in his voice. Something that makes your chest feel heavy. You've never heard it before.
“I died?” You ask. It comes out so simply, like it was an every day thing. Jason nods. “Damn.”
Now his head tilts to the side. His eyebrows knit together, a frown pulls at his lips. “Damn?” He echoes.
“Yeah… it wasn't that bad. I thought it would be worse.”
Jason deadpans at you.
“Okay, sorry. Shitty joke.” You laugh quietly and then wince from the pain.
“Yeah jokes on you, huh?” But there's a softness to his voice, something close to relief.
“Shut up.” You tell him with a smile. It's barely noticeable but there's a smile on Jason's face as well.
“So I get to make “I died once” jokes too now?” You ask.
Jason shakes his head, “No, you're not.”
“What? That's not fair, you do it all the time. Why can't I?”
“Because you're not funny, that's why.”
Now it's your turn to deadpan and Jason's smile grows. He laughs, quiet and deep and you smile.
He scoots closer to your bed, leans against the edge, and really looks at you.
“Don't do that again.” he tells you quietly.
“What, save someone?”
“Die.”
Your heart feels heavy. “Yeah, alright…” you agree softly. “It wasn't that fun anyway. Didn't even get a shirt or anything.”
“Are you serious right now?” Jason breathes out a laugh through his nose.
“Dead serious.” You shoot back. He can't even be mad about your stupid jokes. He's just happy to have you back.
“You're the worst.”
“I know.”
“I love you.” He says softly.
“I know.” You smile.
He leans forward and places a tender kiss to your temple, letting his lips linger. His eyes close as he breathes you in.
You are in charge of sending Joel and Tess a radio transmission every week, letting them know they can come to the city for their delivery of pills. After nearly two weeks without a message, Joel decides he is done waiting. He is going to find you.
warnings: 18+ MDNI, smut, no prep, a quickie?, softdom!Joel, QZ!Joel but add some fluff, imagine your favorite Joel, reader has no physical description (she's just sweet), english is not my first language, not really proofread. i mixed stuff from the game, the show, and made up things.
word count: 5.5k
a/n: so... i haven't been able to think about anything but QZ!Joel for the last month. he has to be manifesting me. pictures are from pinterest. dividers are by @/saradika-graphics
It has been two weeks since Joel last heard from you.
Exactly fourteen days since he'd gone to the radio tower and gotten the note with your coded message. The one your group is obligated to send every Tuesday at midnight, on the dot, to let them know there is no issue picking up that weeks package. Since you've been working together, you've never missed a transmission. That was until last week.
He's antsy, knowing he must wait until tomorrow morning to know if there was any message left tonight. He tries to wash away the worry with his trusted liquor. The dark liquid swirls around in his scratched up glass, as he turns it around on the table, placed in between his thumb and his middle finger.
The worry eats at him. Your group receives the drugs coming from Atlanta and stores them until him and Tess can arrive. It's what they bet their livelihood on. No matter how many shifts he takes around the QZ, nothing pays as much as the deals they make for those pills. If they don't receive this package, they won't have enough ration cards for what they plan to do.
Tess watches Joel from the kitchen, swirling her own glass around, but keeping his eyes on him. "I'm sure they're fine out there," she says. For Joel's nerves, but also her own. Then, she rounds the kitchen counter, and walks up to the small round table where he sits, taking a seat across from him.
"Hey," Tess says again, forcing Joel's gaze to meet hers, "Stop your worrying. They probably just got issues with the radio. I'm sure that we'll get the message tonight. We can pick up the package tomorrow."
Joel takes a deep breath and nods, aware that worrying does nothing for them right now.
"I'll go to the radio tower first thing tomorrow," she says. Tess drowns the rest of her drink in one big gulp, thinking it's the end of it.
"It was a big delivery, Tess," Joel says, just as she was about to stand up. He shakes his head, leaning forward on the wooden table, and pressing his hands against his temples. "Biggest one we've gotten in fuck knows how long. Coulda' gotten us through months." He stands up then, too stressed to sit for any longer. Knowing he should've gone out there the minute the message was late.
"Will," Tess corrects. "We will go get the package tomorrow. If there is no message tonight, we go see what's up." She pauses, seeing if she's getting through to him. If she is able to get him out of his head. "Yeah?"
Joel shakes his head again, not even considering her solution now. "No. I say we go now. We see what is goin' on out there, and we get back here before curfew. 'S been long enough, Tess. If there was an issue with their radio they woulda' fixed it by now."
She sighs.
Tess is not oblivious to how important this deal is, how much they need these extra ration cards right now, and how bad it would be for them if your team ceased to exit, be by FEDRA or infected. There is too much on the table for them to just sit and wait. So despite how much she wishes she could tell Joel he's overreacting, she, too, has a bad feeling about all of this.
"Okay," she says, walking over to her pack on the table. "Let's go."
The journey out of the QZ is slightly shorter than before.
Ever since the deliveries became more frequent, with the deal with your group and the deal with those coming from the QZ in Atlanta, Joel and Tess have had to find more secure passage ways. Shortcuts where they surely won't bump into any guards or other smugglers as they bring the merchandise back. The underground tunnels are safe for that, though they are way harder on their noses.
Joel pushes open the wooden plank at the tunnel's exit, letting Tess crawl out first. Once she's out, she holds it up with both hands, for Joel to climb out of the hole, too.
"Fuck, that's dusty," she says, just before letting the plank drop with a loud thunk. Tess wipes her hands on her denim jeans with a scowl on her face.
Joel walks ahead of her, passing the diner's counter and tables, to the exit where he can see all the growth of an abandoned city.
The sun shines brightly above them, illuminating all of the green around them. It would be pretty, if it wasn't the apocalypse what had caused all of this nature to thrive again. The cement that used to cover it, is now forgotten beneath dirty ponds and tall patches of grass.
Tess walks past him, leading the way to where the outcasts live.
Those who for some reason refused to live under FEDRA's protection, or those who have already had issues with it, are balled up together in the city. Often having to fight with scavengers and infected without any walls protecting them like in the QZ.
They make their way through crumbling buildings, and dark alleyways, until they finally reach the building where the back door leads straight to the city's unblocked streets.
They are greeted by some men talking in hushed voices against the walls. The guys pause their conversation for a second, wearily eyeing Joel and Tess up and down, before continuing like normal. Tess nods at them as only a polite form of acknowledgement, and thankfully, they nod back.
Joel feels uneasy in these tight streets. He knows that even in the QZ, there is no government keeping you safe. That it's a dog eats dog kind of world now, but at least in the QZ there are officers around pretending they keep order. Somehow, that still makes him feel like it's a little safer. Like someone would speak up if something unjust were to happen.
They walk past ripped tents where some sleep, stores made up of wood and metal sheets, sketchy people waving them over for no good reasons. Finally, at the end of the street, a man in baggy clothes and a dark hoodie jerks his head to follow him.
Joel and Tess's eyes meet, silently asking each other if they should, and in a split second, they agree to move forward.
"I hope we made the right call coming here," Tess says, her voice teasing.
"Mm, 'n I hope you were right about everythin' being fine out here," he says.
Toward the end of the alley, they see a tall, red brick building looming up ahead. Both of them slow their steps, a little skeptical about entering a closed space with a man they've never met.
"Hey, you," Tess calls.
The guy stops and looks back.
"We wanna talk with Scott. Are you one of his?"
Looking at him straight on, the guy doesn't seem like much of a threat. He looks more frail then they initially thought, and as he tilts his head up, and shows his face, they notice he's just a kid. A kid following someone's instructions, while having no clue what or who they're messing with.
"H-he sent me…?" The blue eyed boy says. "He said—" He swallows hard. "To give you the package and take…the ammo."
Joel scoffs. "'N why would he send you? What's he hidin' from?"
"Fireflies," he says. Joel and Tess immediately glance at each other, and the kid starts to panic. "Wait! They're not here! They came in a few weeks ago for guns and bullets. Scott gave them some, but he-he thinks they'll keep coming back. He says he wants nothing to do with FEDRA or the Fireflies. Not anymore."
"So he's not even in the city." Joel says, not needing extra confirmation.
Tess sighs loudly beside Joel, and makes eye contact with the kid. "Alright, show it to me."
The whole thing is suspicious, and not at all how they like to go about their deals, but they have no choice but to follow this random person to get their delivery. At this point, it seems that if they don't agree, they will be going back to the QZ empty handed.
They are led inside the building, which appears to be an old warehouse. Inside the corner office, the boy lifts up a dusty piece of cloth to reveal a simple cardboard box.
"See?" The guy says. "It's all here. We haven't touched any of it."
Tess glances at Joel, and then decides to take a look at it herself. She crouches in front of the box, and takes a sharp shiv out of her belt. She slices the thick duck tape sealing the box, before forcing it open to look inside. There are six columns of packets wrapped in newspaper, neatly organized inside the box. The fit perfectly together, leaving no room unused.
Tess scoffs, a genuine smile tugging at her lips as she gives everyone else her back.
She takes the shiv in her hand and cuts a straight line in one of the packets. Then, she digs her fingers in it to open the hole up. "Let's see if you're telling the truth," she says.
Joel steps forward and looks over her, at the tiny white pills that fill up the packet.
As soon as Tess knows Joel has seen them, too, she lets go of the packet for it to close on it's own, and quickly pushes the box's cardboard flaps back in place. Covering the merchandise from the kid.
"It's all there right?" They boy asks, nervously snapping his eyes between Tess and Joel. "They told me it was all there. I-I swear. I don't know—"
"Relax, kid. It is there," Tess says, making the boy let out a big sigh of relief. She picks up the box and places it between her arm and her hip, as she faces him again. "I still need you to take me to Scott though. I can't give the payment to some random kid."
The boy wrings his hands at his front, shaking his head already.
"You either tell them I'm waiting… or we leave with their payment. We've gotta be back in the QZ before curfew," Tess says.
Joel steps forward, not wanting any issues, but Tess lifts her hand to signal that she is handling it. So Joel stays quiet.
"What's it gonna be?"
In the end, the kid agrees to go look for Scott, or anybody close to him that Tess and Joel knows. He runs out of the building, holding onto his hoodie as it doesn't fall off his head. As soon as the boy is gone, Tess looks over at Joel, finding him pacing in circles, and looking out of the windows. Staring at the other worn down buildings.
When his eyes meets hers, Tess jerks her chin toward the entrance.
Joel shakes his head right away. "No, I'm stayin' here," he says, continuing to pace around.
She chuckles, readjusting the box over her hipbone. "I've got it covered, Joel. Just get out of here."
He stops, looking at her for confirmation. He knows he should wait for whoever is coming to arrive, for Tess's safety and the pills', but the pit in his stomach won't let him give up on his worry. He needs to see it for himself to believe it. To be able to go back to the QZ, and sleep tonight.
"You sure you don't need me here?" He says.
"I'm sure. Go do what you've gotta do," she says.
Joel stays rooted in his spot for a moment, not wanting to leave Tess to finish the deal on her own. She gives him one last reassuring look, letting him know she really has it covered. Joel nods, and walks out of the building toward the main street.
As he gets further along, his pace quickens, turning into a light jog as he passes all of the vendors and men on the sides of the street. Finally, he reaches the tiny, white rabbit painted at the bottom of a wall, right before having to turn into the alley, and he knows he's going the right direction.
Further down, he takes a left, down another alley that takes him to a larger street, this one lonelier than the others. He glances at his left, where the end of a cloud of smoke fills the sky, coming from where he knows they burn the infected bodies, before he starts jogging to his right, going down two blocks before another white rabbit appears. This one is right under the corner store's broken window. The rabbit there is not painted at its side. Instead, its painted straight forward, sat on his haunches with his legs at his front.
Joel rounds the corner and looks up at the metal staircases on the side of both buildings at each side, going up to the rooftops. He takes the wooden stick hidden behind the big dumpsters, and approaches the building next to the corner store's. The stick hooks over the staircase's last step, and he pulls it down until it won't go further down. The stick is put back in his hiding spot, before he climbs up.
He moves quicker after that. He's so close, and he can't wait any longer.
At the second to last floor, he reaches inside the shattered window to find the thick cloth. Then, he puts the cloth over the ragged, glass edges at the bottom, and carefully climbs inside without hurting himself. He makes sure to leave the cloth back inside before continuing on his way.
Walking down the hall, Joel cringes at how his boots make the wooden floors creak. He stops right in front of apartment 407 and lightly knocks. After a minute of no response, he knocks again. This time to the beat of 'Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer'.
The sunlight seeps through the small window in your apartment, lighting up your entire studio apartment with the perfect amount of light.
You lay on your stomach as you read in your twin bed. An old sci-fi novel you and your friend managed to find in one of the abandoned apartments in the building, while you were meant to be scavenging for clothes. You flip the page, and flip yourself to lie on your back, holding the heavy book up in the air.
That's when you hear a faint knock.
You sit up and clutch the book to your chest. You are not expecting anyone today, so you fail to think of who could be coming unannounced, on a day like today, where you have nothing to do. You glance over at your closet, remembering if your gun has any bullets in it, but then the knock comes back, in that tune that makes you smile.
Joel is here.
You swing your legs over to the edge, and drop the book on the bed. In no time, you have rushed over to the door. You slide the two metal locks at the top, the one at the bottom, and then turn the one at the doorknob. When you finally pull it open, you reveal yourself to him. Standing there in your soft pajamas, and sporting the bright smile he knows you by.
"Joel," you giggle. The surprise visit makes you feel all giddy, despite his face showing no signs of the same excitement.
He steps inside and grabs onto your shoulders as he forces you further into your apartment. His foot reaches the back of the door, and he pushes it behind him until it slams shut. His voice is rough, with no sweetness found in it. "Where have you been, huh? No message from you in two weeks. What were you thinkin'?"
You immediately don't like how he's speaking to you. You furrow your brows and pout as you stare at him, choosing not to speak until he fixes his attitude. The fight drains out of him as soon as he sees your plush lip jutting out.
"Baby," he sighs, pulling you close to his chest. His hands find their place beneath the fabric of your shirt, touching your bare skin, and he breathes you in. He presses his nose to your hair, drowning in the smell of your bed hair. He can finally stop worrying. His arms snake around you, completely enveloping you now, and he shakes you a little brusquely. "You were supposed to send me a message." He pulls back just enough to look at you, noticing how quickly your pout turned into a grin.
"They told me not to send anything," you say.
"I know, but—" Joel lets go of you to close the door first. You straighten up your pajamas as he has his back towards you, as he secures every lock again. Then he turns back to you, and pulls you in just like before, bunching up your sleep shirt again. "We have our own deal, don't we? You let me know if you're alright. Every Tuesday, no exceptions." He lowers his voice to a low murmur then. "If the fireflies came, I wouldn't have known. Do you get that? I wouldn't have been here with you."
You take advantage of him being so close, and give his lips a soft peck. "But they didn't come," you say. And wriggle out of his hold, to step away from the door. You jump back on the bed then. Giddily waiting for him there, kneeling on the thin sheets.
His fists tighten at his sides, and he forces them open to wipe the sweat on his jeans. He is both incredibly relived that your safe, and angry that you don't seem to share his preoccupation. Joel doesn't want you to be afraid, but he wants you to atleast acknowledge the seriousness of the situation.
When you kiss him like you do, smile at him like you do, and wait for him on the bed like that. Looking like a fantasy he keeps believing is just that—a beautiful lie—he can't be angry when all he wants is to get lost in you.
Slowly, he steps forward into your space, stopping at the foot of the bed. "You're bein' careful, right?" He says. "Just like I taught ya'?"
"Mhm," you nod. You point at your beside table, "I keep a knife in my drawer," and then at your closet across from the bed, "and a gun in my closet."
"Good," he says. "That's real good, baby. Show me the gun."
You quickly get off of the bed, and walk towards your closet. You open both doors, and then crouch down to pull open the shoe cabinet at the bottom. Joel takes a seat on the bed while you do so.
When you stand up, you walk over to Joel with a cardboard box in hand. You set it between both of you as you sit next to him. "Here it is," you say, showing him the small revolver he gifted you, with all of the bullets scattered around in the box. "Oh. I forgot to put the bullets in," you pout, and look up to see him shaking his head in disapproval.
Joel takes the revolver, and helps you by slowly putting each bullet in its place. "This has to be loaded, baby girl. You know how to use it now, so no problem keepin' the bullets inside. It will save you time. You understand?"
You nod quickly, watching his fingers move quickly as every bullets plops into place, and biting your lip absentmindedly.
When he's done, he doesn't put the gun back in the box. He gets up and puts it in your bedside drawer. "Closet's too far away." When he returns, he stops in front in, looking down at you sitting on the bed. "I should get goin' now," he says as he cups your cheek, feeling you melt into his gentle touch. "Don't leave me hangin' next week, ya' hear?"
You let out a quiet whine, and place both hands on his belly, gripping the fabric of his shirt. "Are you really leaving so soon? I haven't seen you in two weeks." You gently pull him to you, scooting back on the bed as you try to get him on it. "Don't go yet," you plead with doe eyes.
"I have to," he says, keeping himself grounded in place as you continue to grasp at him. "Tess's waitin' for me."
"But I missed you," you breathe.
"I missed you, too," he confesses, still caressing your burning cheek. He loves how warm your skin gets when you start to get aroused. "More than you know," he says. He doesn't budge as you try to pull him down. Joel stands like a firm wall before you, unfazed by your pleading eyes or your desperate tugs.
"I haven't touched myself. Like you told me to," you whisper. The corner of his mouth twitches, but you don't catch it.
"Yeah? You've been good?"
His hands move to your ribs, pulling you up and off the bed. You follow without questions, standing on wobbly legs, but trusting that Joel won't let you fall. He easily turns you around, so he's the one to sit on the bed. With his thighs spread. He lets go of your body to lean back on his hands.
You shift your weight back and forth, from one foot to the other, rubbing your thighs together as you stand before him. The anticipation makes you nervous, but it is also what excites you the most. No knowing what he has planned for you.
"C'mere," he says, moving his chin down.
You immediately step forward, taking your spot right in between his spread thighs. His hands find your hips right away, and they brush upward until he hits the hem of your shirt. Then he very gently takes the fabric with him as his hands brush the sides of your waist, the sides of your chest. "Lift yer arms for me," Joel says, before pushing it up, up, up, and off of your body.
He's seen you like this so many times by now, that you shouldn't feel nervous about him seeing you naked. But the way his eyes linger on your chest, and how he quickly yanks you closer, makes you shiver with nerves anyway. Without asking, he starts pushing your pants down, taking your underwear with them. When the fabric hits the floor, you step out of it, and push it out of the way with one foot. You're always so obedient and eager when it comes to him.
When his hands find your waist again, he lets them wander at your sides, your back, until he grips your ass and pulls you flush to his chest. He kisses his neck while he kneads your skin, pressing open mouthed kisses along your side, and on your clavicle.
You whimper and tilt your head to give him more room, to let him devour every inch of your neck. You have never minded the beard scratches that he leaves behind. You only miss them when they start to fade away, and you know you still have to wait until he visits again.
"You're gonna ride my cock," he groans against your ear. "And you're gonna make me cum 'fore I gotta leave, 'kay?"
You eagerly nod, already breathless and blushing.
He works his jeans open and slides them down his thighs, letting himself spring free. The sight never fails to make you drool. It is even worse after all this time, because you know how good it tastes. He wraps his fingers around his shaft, and slowly pumps himself two times, dragging his thumb over his tip to spread his precum around.
Before Joel even says anything, you climb onto his lap, placing each thigh on either side of his. Your hand reaches in between your bodies, to touch yourself as he continues to work himself quietly. You dip your fingers in between your folds, and gather all the wetness that's dripping from your core. Then you wrap your hand around Joel, coating him with your slick, and mixing it with his.
He groans and squeezes his eyes shut, having waited so long to get you again, but he remains as still as he can manage, leaning back on his hands and letting you do all of the work.
The moment you sink down on him, it burns you a little. The stretch is a lot for you to take, and you'd never actually had to be quick. He has always worked you open with his fingers, or his tongue.
You ride him slowly, trying to get adjusted to the length and girth of him, but it's on the verge of being too much. Your thighs shake uncontrollably at his sides, and you can barely lift yourself up after sinking down. "It's—ah—really hard," you say, half moaning, half whimpering.
Joel hand lands on your ass cheek with a loud smack, before squeezing it roughly. "You can take it. Can't ya'?"
You whimper with tears at the corner of your eyes, waiting to spill. "I can!" you cry, tilting your head back as you try to set a quicker pace. You sporadically clench around him, letting him know how hard your body is attempting to adjust.
Going up and down, you believe you're setting a better pace. It begins to feel good for you now, and you let out a lewd moan up at the ceiling, letting your eyes roll back. Until Joel smacks your butt cheeks again, this time using both hands and squeezing them as the sting settles in. "You gonna make me cum or not? I ain't got all day."
The way he's able to mask how good you're making him feel is impressive. He only breathes hard, keeping his jaw locked tight when he's not speaking, and stares at you like whatever you're attempting to do is merely a tease for him.
You really, really want to make him feel as good as he makes you feel. You grab onto his shoulders and hide your face in the crook of his neck, putting your everything into the way your hips move. You bounce on his cock like you never have before, moaning against his neck because you're unable to hold back like he is. "F-f-fuck," you gasp in his skin, feeling your thighs slip further apart as you fuck yourself on him.
He maintains his arms behind him as he leans back, not helping one bit as you teeter the edge of falling apart. Only enjoying as you take him with you. What you don't see, is how his lips have now parted, and his eyes are rolled back now that he knows you won't see. He feels his abdomen tense up and let loose with every bounce you do, and he feels his balls drawing tighter and tighter. He won't last much longer.
"'S that all you got," he grunts through gritted teeth, barely able to mask how close he is. "C'mon, baby. Know you can do—hnghh— better than that."
That little slip in his tone, gives you the motivation that you need. Despite the burn in your quads and hamstrings, you fix your position to continue moving up and down his shaft. The slight adjustments makes him hit even deeper, and makes you arch your back in a silent cry.
You inhale sharply then. "I'm—gonna cum," you gasp. The fuzzy feeling in your core just grows and grows, getting hotter and stronger. As much as you try to hold back—controlling your breaths and focusing on something else—once you start to cum, it feels too good to stop it. You let the sensation take over your body and spread out from your core, hitting the top of your head, to the tips of your toes.
Joel feels it as soon as it happens. He feels how you flutter around him in strong pulses, and the hot gush that starts dripping out of you when you lift your hips up. He lets go while you're still cumming, letting himself moan while he thinks you won't notice.
You're body feels weak when you come down. You don't want to put your body weight on Joel, so you try to lean a little bit back. Joel catches you before you nearly fall backwards off his lap.
"Careful," he pants, all sweaty and red like you. "You did so good for me." He brushes the sweat damped hair off of your forehead and your neck, knowing you need to cool off. "Made me feel so good." He pulls you in then, to have your body slump on top of his. Your head falls onto his shoulder, not letting him see the tired smile spreading across your face.
Despite how tired you two were, you could not let yourselves fall asleep. As soon as you had caught your breaths, you'd gotten up and gotten dressed.
He stands before you while you sit on the bed. "I'll be able to get you yer' ID next month. I just need a few more ration cards to pay it off," he says while fixing his belt.
You give a small smile, looking down at your lap as you twist your fingers on it. "You really think it'll work? I've heard they're getting more strict with it, Joel. I don't want you to get in any trouble because of me."
The last thing you want is for this to somehow fall back on Joel. That he'll be targeted for smuggling you into the QZ. Or worse, accused of having a part in what your old group had done. The dream of living with him is always present and strong, but if the consequence of asking for too much is losing him forever, than you'd rather have things remain as they are.
"Maybe we should wait a little longer for things to cool down," you say.
"Baby," Joel says, taking a seat next to you. "FEDRA could come 'ere any day now. You think they don't know everythin' that goes down in the city? They won't leave this place untouched for long. I gotta get you outta here."
You are deeply afraid of that possibility, too. Nowadays, there is no place where danger and injustice won't find you.
You nod quickly, getting yourself together and realizing you should continue to trust Joel's judgment. "I know, I know," you say. "This can't be my home forever."
Joel doesn't say anything right away, which doesn't help ease your nerves. Both of you stay quiet for a while and only listen to the sounds of each others deep breaths. There is no easy way out of this predicament, or a simple solution he can offer to make you feel better. He can only tell you the ugly truth, so for now, it feels better to stay quiet.
You scoot closer to him, and let your head rest on his chest. His arms quickly wrap around you to pull you close. It is easy to find some level of comfort when you are together, that's why it's harder to accept that it cannot be forever.
"I promised to get you out of here," he says.
You remember the first time he made that promise, but you never held onto it too hard. Not because you don't believe in Joel, but because you know how ruthless your world can be. You shake your head against his shoulder and start to pull back. "You don't have to—"
"We could go somewhere else," he murmurs, and your eyes widen immediately. "Maybe Atlanta, maybe further west."
You lift your head up to find his eyes. While yours are wide with shock and fear, his are calm and decided. "W-what would we do? I mean, do you think that we could find a QZ that would let us in? What if they know about me?"
"Maybe we don't go to a QZ," he says, like he's genuinely considering it. "There's gotta be somewhere without any soldiers."
You swallow hard.
"I—I can't promise anythin' better than this," Joel says as he looks into your fearful eyes. "I can try to get you inside the QZ, give you a new identity, but things aren't that much better in there, baby girl. Not like you think. If we go—if you decide to leave with me, I could try to get us everythin' we need. A better gun for you, ammo, clothes, food… a car."
Aside from the fear and the uncertainty, the thought of him willing to head into the unknown with you warms up your heart. It is the only confirmation you need to know what he feels for you.
thank you for reading <3 i had a lot of fun writing this hehe
Are you still doing the h/comfort meme? I think 14 ("show me where it hurts?") is very Robby coded? Or Jack? Or both. Is it too much to want a soft older man to take care of you? Asking for a friend...
I absolutely will do both for you friend!! I understand way more than I should about wanting a soft older man to take care of me. I hope I can do this justice for you.
14. “Show me where it hurts.”
Jack:
It was your night off and you ended up back at the pitt anyway. Your friends decided it was a great idea to go clubbing tonight, so you went with. Shit went sour when a fight broke out at the club and you and your friends got caught in the middle of it. You honestly don't even know why you're here. You feel fine but that could just be the adrenaline talking.
Your friends needed to be seen first, so you kept pushing off everyone who wanted to get a look at you until Jack. He just gave you the stare, the stare that you obey because you don't want him to be disappointed or upset with you. So, you let him take you into exam room 6.
"How's it been tonight babe?"
"It's been fine, but don't deflect honey."
"You like my outfit Jacky?"
"I love it baby, more so on the floor, but that's not why we're in here. Quit trying to flirt your way out of this."
You groan because you know your boyfriend and attending isn't about to let this go and the pain down your right side is starting to hurt.
"Show me where it hurts. And before you say you're not in pain, remember I know you better than anyone and I can see the adrenaline wearing off on your face."
Fucking Jack, of course he knows you too well. You lift your tight black halter top and point to your ribs. Jack sees the brusies and mutters fuck under his breath.
"Does it hurt anywhere else?"
You nod your head and drop your black biker shorts. The bruises go from your ribs all the way down past your hips to the top of your thigh. Jack grabs you a gown and hands it to you. You take the halter top all the way off, same as your shorts.
"I'm gonna order you a CT scan so we can make sure nothing is broken, but can you tell me what happened?"
"We just went out for a few drinks and to dance and then a fight broke out and I fell and people were stepping on me trying to get out of there until I managed to get up and go check on my friends."
You sat down on the hospital bed and Jack typed the order in on the iPad before coming and sitting down on the bed next to you. You lean into his side and Jack kisses your head.
You both sit like that until it's time for your CT. Jack walks you up to your CT and waits for you to be done. He walks you back to exam room 6 and opens up your CT scans.
"You're in luck honey. Nothing's broken. Just extremely bruised."
"Thank you Dr. Abbot. You coming over after your shift?"
"How could I ever say no to such a sweet offer. When I get there though you better be naked and icing those bruises."
"Yes sir, but only if you promise me you're gonna cuddle with me the entire time we sleep."
"You've got a deal. Now get changed back into your club clothes and get out of here before I don't let you leave."
You smirk and lean in to kiss him. He kisses you back.
"I love you. Now get back to work."
"I love you too. Now get your ass home and I'll be there in like 3 hours."
Robby:
You're normally not a clumsy person, but today everything seemed to be working against you. You'd gotten a papercut at work, fell off your bed when you were getting up this morning, walked into no less than 2 doors, and now you're trying to make dinner for you and your boyfriend Michael who's due home from his 12-hour shift in like 10 minutes.
You heard the front door open to your shared house and of course you were pouring something and dropped the fucking glass on the floor.
"Sweetheart are you okay?"
"Yeah Mikey I'm fine."
You don't want him to know that you now have glass in your foot, so you quickly yank it out and hobble over to the pantry and grab a broom and dust pan. As you're hobbling back to clean up your mess, Michael walks into the kitchen.
He shakes his head and takes the broom and dust pan from you and cleans up the glass. He throws the glass in the trash and puts the broom and dust pan back. You hobble over to one of the chairs in the kitchen that's up against the island. Michael walks over to you.
"Show me where it hurts."
You point to your lips. Michael rolls his eyes and leans down to kiss you. You deepen the kiss to try and distract him some more. He pulls away from the kiss and looks at you pointedly.
"Mmm I'm sure those hurt so bad. Now quit distracting me, let me see your foot. I can see the blood."
You groan but lift your foot up so he can see it. He walks out of the kitchen for a total of like a minute and comes back with his suture kit out of his backpack and a couple of paper towels.
"Wait babe, before you clean me up, we should probably move because I don't want your old man back and knees to ache from sitting on the floor."
"If I didn't love you and think you're so damn cute, you'd pay for that comment."
You smile at him until he shocks the shit out of you and picks you up over his shoulder. He carries you into your living room and sets you down on the couch. You keep your foot elevated off the couch until he sits down next to you. He takes your foot and puts it onto his lap.
He cleans your wound with soap and water and dries it off with a paper towel. He assess the damage and determines you don't need stitches. He applies some glue to your foot to close up the wound and waits for it to dry.
"What were you even doing to get the glass in your foot?"
Your eyes go wide because you forgot all about dinner.
"Fuck! I was making us dinner, which is probably now ruined."
Michael hopped up off the couch and went into the kitchen and shut the stove top off and poured out the water from the noodles into the collander and tossed the noodles into the garbage. Then he came back into the living room.
"Don't worry about dinner sweetheart, I'll just order us a pizza and we can cuddle on the couch."
"Thank you and I'm totally going to pay you back for all of this after I'm fed."
"You just shush and let me love on you."
Michael lays down on the couch and you lay between his legs with your head resting on his chest buried in that damn beers of the burgh hoodie he loves so much. You snuggle as close as possible and slowly drift off to Michael talking on the phone, placing your pizza delivery order.

EVERY INCH 2
2200 words, m!ghostface x f!reader
follows Every Inch. NEXT: Every inch 3
SERIES MASTERLIST
A/N: He's never unmasked. He is night walks coded. Thank you for all the love on my first Ghostface fic. This was a "one shot fail" because of your engagement & enthusiasm.
WARNINGS: I8+ piv, noncon, he calls himself daddy, voyeurism, dirty talk, masturbation, knifeplay, hair pulling, manhandling, choking kinda, degradation, pet names. NO USE OF Y/N.
SUMMARY: Last time you saw ghostface, he was unconscious from the car wreck and you had your way with him. Now, he's coming to take what's his.
You've put Ghostface behind you, at least in terms of fearing for your life. He's finally left you alone. He must be too humiliated to face you after you restrained him and had your way with him in the car while he was passed out. You still look at the picture you took every day. You'd like to get it printed and stick it on your bathroom mirror. He looks so pathetic with his own mess all over his robe. But it's not just the humiliation you love to see. It's his cock. . .
Yeah, his cock. You've thought about it more than a few times. He would've given you every inch. All you had to do was ask. And the video of him whimpering? You save that for special occasions. Like when you need to cum in a hurry.
It's Friday night and you're lying in bed after getting home from seeing a movie. You make sure your vibrator is charged before you start reading, but soon enough you get distracted. You're looking at your video of Ghostface coming all over himself when a call pops up on the screen. No ringtone. Your phone is still on silent from the theater.
The restricted number still makes your heart jump even after such an empowering victory. But you rip the bandaid off and answer it on the first ring. "Hello?"
"So... how'd you like the movie?" the voice changer asks you.
You panic and hang up, but when he calls right back, you answer again. "This isn't funny, whoever you are."
"You know it's me, baby. You feel it in your. . . pants."
"What do you want?"
"I asked how you liked the movie."
Friday night. Lucky guess. You know he’s not going to let it go, so you might as well answer. You’re not going to give him the satisfaction of acting aghast that he knows what you did tonight. "Fine, I liked it. It was fun,” you say dismissively.
"Picked a bad time to refill your drink. . . Missed a great kill."
Your heart jumps. ". . .you were there?" The theater wasn't even that crowded. How could he go undetected? Surely you would have recognized something about a man you rode into oblivion.
He's bemused. "What, you thought I was gone? Nowhere?”
"wishful thinking," you reply.
Ghostface says, “Oh, we both know what you really wish for. . .”
You’re not even going to argue.
“How was your date?"
"How was yours with your hand?" You retort.
"You didn't look interested.”
"What, are you gonna ask me out?" Your face heats up as you hear your own words.
"Not tonight. 'Cause you've got a date with that toy and my picture, don't ya?”
You freeze.
He taunts, "Want a third wheel?"
You ask, "How long have you been watching me?"
"Never stopped, sugar." You feel like a fool for thinking he had. “I’ve just been a little. . . distracted.”
You scoff.
". . . Okay, did you call just to talk?"
"Wanted some audio with my visual this time."
"Pervert."
“oh I'm the pervert," he chides. Your face is burning up.
"You know, you’ve still got something of mine.” His knife. You’ve hid it somewhere special. “Keep comin’ for it. . .but don’t wanna interrupt you.”
You look out your window, which faces the woods. "Cause you put on a good show, baby." There’s never been a reason to close the curtains. You preferred to see danger coming. Danger like him. A lot of good that’s done you.
“You’re a creature of habit, aren’t you?”
Are you that predictable?
“Lucky for me,” he adds darkly. His breathing becomes audible. “Oh, you like this, don't you . . . knew ya would. . . . .Dripping already.” His voice is steady through the equalizer, but his speech pattern tells you his dick is hard. And god damn if he isn’t turning you on.
“Dip a finger and show daddy how wet you are.”
Before you know it, you're doing it. You don’t show him, but you curiously dip you fingers and pull apart the clear string of of your arousal
“Two fingers . . let’s not get ahead of ourselves.” You lie there clenching your thighs together.
“Ah, fuck it. Go ahead, turn it on,” he says but you don’t move. You clench your thighs together. “Turn it on,” he repeats firmer, and something possesses you to turn your vibrator on.
“Yeah, that’s it . . .”
You don’t even need the picture now, or the video, or your reading. But you don’t exactly want to let him make you come this fast.
He sighs and says, “You’ve got a nice, juicy pussy." He spits, which the voice changer doesn’t process.
You close your eyes and recall what it felt like impaling yourself on his cock.
"You don't have to say it," he reassures you menacingly. "I know I’ve got a nice cock.”
He’s right about that. You close your eyes as you touch yourself. You’re too horny to think straight, but in the back of your mind, you try to tell yourself he killed your friends. He killed your friends. It doesn’t make you any less turned on. You sigh in shame at yourself. How does Ghostface have you wrapped around his finger?
“Oh, it’s only natural, baby. This cock’ll fuck you right up.” God, why does that turn you on? “In the guts and the head.”
"Real shame I wasn’t awake.” He breathes heavily for a few seconds. "Coulda been even better for you.”
You fail to suppress a moan as heat is bubbling in your core.
“Yeah. . .Can’t stop thinkin' about this cock, can ya?”
You turn up the intensity of your vibe.
“Not everyday someone takes every inch of this.” He moans weakly then spits again. “Filthy girl. Swallowed it right up.”
“So tell me, sugar," his breathing is even heavier now. "How do you want it?”
“What if i don’t” you lie, then gasp at the tension in your core.
“Then why’d you take it,” he says with a bite and the heavy breathing stops.
“Because,” you pant. “It was there.”
You’re getting close. “How do you want me,” you self-loathingly ask. He doesn’t answer. You look at your phone and he’s gone. Shit. You open the video you took of him and as soon as you hear him whimper, your body jerks as the tension bursts inside you. As soon as you finish pulsing, the regret hits you like a tidal wave. So fucked up. Soooo disgusting. You need a shower.
—---
You take a long, hot shower, listening to music. You sigh, feeling a little better already. You turn off the water.
“Soaking wet. That’s how I want you.” You freeze and the only sound is the dripping water for a few seconds while the song changes.
“Come on, you’re smarter than this.” The voice changer echoes through your bathroom and you almost fall over. “What’s next? Going down to the basement?”
You stand silently in the shower with your heartbeat echoing in your ears. There’s nothing you can do. You squat down, hugging your knees. There’s no good option.
The shower curtain slowly draws open and he looms above you.
“My turn, baby." The glint of a knife–your own kitchen knife–catches your eye. He tilts his head slightly and observes you for a moment. Then he pulls your hair and violently forces you to your feet. You begin to slip and he catches you, then manhandles you out of the tub and you whimper. You’re thrashing around wet and naked. He drags you to the bathroom sink and puts you between him and the sink, both of you facing the mirror. He reaches out and wipes the mirror with his robe to make sure you can see.
The sight is surreal. You’re completely nude with Ghostface up against you. One gloved hand cups your breast while the other raises the knife. He stays behind you and holds your own kitchen knife to your throat.
He inhales audibly. “So clean and so filthy.”
You elbow him in the gut. “Let go of me.”
“Afraid not, baby. . .” The hand leaves your breast and slides lower. He presses on your hip, bringing you tight against him. “Too late now.” His hips push forward and the massive shape of his hard cock makes you weak.
He holds you still with just one of his big arms as you struggle. “Coulda had it how ya wanted.”
The unwelcome throb between your legs is spreading through your abdomen.
“Now you’re gonna take it right here.” He keeps you pinned to the counter, the arm with the knife holding you still while he lifts his robe and tugs his PJ pants down. “You’ve put me behind you after all.” He jerks you back against him, pulling you off the counter and holding you tight against his hard dick. He lightly trails the tip of the knife down your cleavage and your stomach, dipping into your belly button on its way down to your mound. Then he holds it handle-up and teases your cunt with the flat of the knife as you watch in the mirror. The cold metal sends a shiver down your spine and you watch your nipples harden.
“Who are you?”
“Your favorite bad guy. Ask me a. . . harder one.” He grinds himself against you.
“What do you want?”
“To know what your insides feel like.” You suck in a deep breath and register the smell of weed as his cock twitches against your bare skin. “When I’m awake,” he adds.
He pries your legs apart with his knee, then his glove brushes your inner thighs as he aligns his cock at your entrance. “Oh you’re ready ready,” he says. He notches himself with the thick head of his cock resting snug against your wet little hole, then he holds you tight and shoves himself into you with a sigh. You have to try not to moan with the most welcome stretch. “Hell yeah,” the mask says into your ear. Thank God you’re so wet, because there is a lot of him. He pulls back, then slams into you, bottoming out with a grunt then another sigh. You watch your face in the mirror and try to wipe the enjoyment off it.
The hand with the knife rests against your chest as he pounds you. “You’re lucky you’re so hot.” You want to memorize the feeling of his cock inside you so you can come to it later instead of giving him the satisfaction right now. He pants as he thrusts into you harder. “So. . .damn. . . hot.” You look down watching your breasts jiggle as he rails you. “I don’t think so. . . baby.” He grabs your chin and makes you look back up at the mirror. Your drooping eyelids give away how good you feel.
“Take it like a bad girl.” He grunts and brutally fucks you in the way you’re afraid only he can. No, no, you shouldn’t be thinking thoughts like this. “A real bad girl.” A climax is gathering in your lower belly. “Cock hungry little slut,” he bites and it makes you twitch. “This pussy’s mine now, you know.”
He buries himself inside you for another minute and makes it rough. “Now or never baby," he pants. “Know you wanna come on this cock.” God, you do. “Do it now.” He slams into you harder than ever and groans as he begins to pulse inside you. You can’t stop it. The feeling of his climax trips you into your own. Your needy cunt chokes his cock, milking him of an unfathomable load. He fucks you through it and your body jerks into his imposing, robed form. His cum is in every crevice of your core. You can’t help but moan and sigh.
“Good girl,” he says.
His cock slides out of you, leaving a void that slowly caves in on itself. He tucks it back into his pants.
------
Ghostface forcibly positions your chin to take one last look in the mirror. Then he picks up your phone from the counter and forces you to swipe the camera on. He points it at the mirror and says, “say cheese.” He tosses your phone back on the counter, then slams you chest-first into the back of the door with an impact. He holds the knife to the side of your neck and says, “you’re welcome.” He really smells like weed.
“Now where’s my knife.”
“I don’t have it,” you claim.
“I don’t believe you.”
“What’s so special about it?”
“It’s mine.”
“The cops have it.”
“No they don’t. Why are you lying?”
You’re not really sure. He presses the flat of the knife so hard against your throat you start to choke. “Okay,” you manage hoarsely. He lets you breathe. You look behind him toward the toilet.
He drags you by the elbow to the toilet. He opens the back of it and the knife is wrapped up in a grocery bag. “You watch too many movies,” he says. He pushes you out of the way, opens the door, and leaves. The song turns to Call Me by Blondie.

Warning! Battery at 1%! Device will power down in 3..
You stared down at the phone in your hands as the message lit up on the screen. Eyes widening, you quickly tapped the screen, trying to bypass the pop-up and get another glimpse at the digital map you were using.
2…
“Hold on now! Just let me see where I'm going, please!” You begged the small device, your grip tightening around it as you tried to figure out what direction you needed to go.
1..
You peered around the small pop-up. Okay.. Pete Ave was that way, which meant you needed to take a right after the stoplight and go-
Device powering down! Have a nice day :)
“Damnit!” You growled as the screen flashed once, and then faded to black. You squeezed your eyes shut, face lifted to the sky as you took a deep breath to center yourself.
“Move it, won’t ya?” A demon woman chastised as she hurried around you. Lowering your head, you realized you were standing in the middle of the sidewalk, your spot interrupting the flow of pedestrian traffic. Quickly, you backpedaled until your back hit a brick wall of a building.
It was getting late in Pentagram City, and that meant you needed to hurry to get to your friend's place before the worst inhabitants of Hell came crawling out.
She had just gotten married and moved into a rather quaint little home, and you were very happy for her. You had not seen it yet, just in pictures she had shown you on her phone and the one time you drove past it.
“Oh, pleaseeee won’t you come over tonight? I can’t wait to show you all the renovations we’ve done! It looks so much better since we bought it.” She had begged over the phone that afternoon.
You had stood there, your nails clicking against the countertop in your kitchen as you thought. You had nothing important going on, just some light cleaning and shopping. What was the harm in going over there and visiting?
“Okay, sure. Yeah, I can come over.” You finally spoke.
“Ahh! I’m so excited, we’ll have a big dinner and everything. I can even rent a movie for us to watch, what are you into again? Those sappy romance flicks?”
“Whatever you want to watch, it’s your milestone we’re celebrating. I’m not the one picking.”
“Geez, you know how hard it is for me to decide things like that! But, i’ll do it. Oh! Before I forget, could you stop by the store on your way and get some Cajun seasoning? It’s for the meal!”
“Of course. I’ll see you soon.” You had told her, before hanging up. Eyes moving to the clock, you realized you two hours before needing to arrive. Which meant you had to get moving on those dishes and errands.
It didn’t take long before you were out the door. Wearing a nice outfit and new shoes, you strolled down the street. The digital map on your phone guiding you across the city as you moved.
Being so close to the city center, you didn’t have a personal vehicle. Instead, you took public transport all the way past the Entertainment District, your eyes gazing up at the rather tall VoxTek building as the bus sped by.
You didn’t know much about the Vees, other than they were very powerful Overlords with a lot of influence in the media industry. In fact, you didn’t know much about Overlords at all. Were they nasty demons? They must be, if they bartered in souls.
But there had to be better ones, right? You knew of the cannibal, Rosie, and despite her, well.. dietary choices, she seemed to be a rather motherly and courteous demon. In such a way that the residents of Cannibal Town held very high regards for her, which proved her ability to lead in a just manner. She couldn’t be the only one with a more ethical moral code.
Your mind lingered on that train of thought, before you were pulled back into reality by the bus driver’s call for your stop. Quickly, you had hurried out of the vehicle, before continuing your directed path forward.
You arrived at the large storefront, a cozy cottage-like building that whispered of deliciousness as the scents of spices and other meal-making goods wafted through the open door.
Taking a step inside, you quickly darted through the aisles, searching for the Cajun seasoning. What was your friend making tonight? You weren’t too familiar with these kinds of ingredients. Hopefully, it was going to be tasty.
When you found it, you turned it in your hands, inspecting the product. Yep, you’ve never seen this before in your life.
After paying for the item, you quickly departed. Your next destination set on your phone.. but not for long.
Just a few more blocks, and you’d have been welcomed by the two love-birds with open arms. A nice, hot meal and a good movie to finish the night.
Except, how were you supposed to get there now?!
Your phone was useless, and the digital displays around you showed nothing but advertisements and the latest news.
Frantically, you looked around for any familiar landmarks, hoping to rely on your memory to guide you. But the streets of Pentagram City, with their twisting alleys and repetitive buildings, all looked eerily similar in the dimming red light of dusk.
Taking a deep breath to steady yourself, you tried to recall the route from memory. Pete Avenue, right after the stoplight, then… was it a left or a right at the next intersection? You berated yourself for not doing a better job at memorizing the way before you left.
Turning, you raised a fist at the VoxTek HQ building, cursing them for your suffering. Stupid technology and their shitty battery life.
Slowly, you started walking again. Past the neon signs beckoning you to take a glance at what they had to offer, past the girls on the corner who were calling out to you to come have a ‘good time’.
Sometimes, you wished you had someone else to lend a hand at times like these. But, your heart and your home were unimaginably lonely when it came to a romantic partner. It was something that others around you couldn’t stop pestering you about.
“You really need to get out more,” another friend of yours had said one day, while you two dined at a cafe, “there’s this new dating app, called ‘Ozzie’s Love Link’. Everybody is buzzing about it. You should totally give it a whirl!”
You had rolled your eyes at her suggestion, a dating app? Those things were practically a fraud. The demons on there either wanted sex, or their idea of a relationship was twisted and foul. You even had heard stories of people playing into sick traps of the perfect first meet, only to be murdered and left in an alley to rot.
“I want something real, not some.. temporary escape. Have you ever met anyone that’s actually found ‘The One’ through one of those things? And, who knows, maybe the demon of my dreams will just walk right into me one day.”
She had laughed at your words, holding a hand to her mouth to contain her giggles.
“Oh, you. You’re still hanging on to those silly stories of a Prince Charming, hm? C’mon now, this is the real world. Nobody is going to swoop in and save you, and then fall hopelessly in love with you. That's a fairy tale. You need to put in the effort.”
You shrugged. Maybe, she was right. Maybe, those stories you had digested were just fairy tales, meant to enrapture you with promises of the perfect life. You were in Hell, after all.
‘She just doesn’t understand,’ you reminded yourself, ‘all her relationships have been toxic. She doesn’t know any better.’
You weren’t going to let her judgments get to you, you could live your life however you wanted, with whatever dreams you chose.
As you walked down the bustling streets, you couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. It was as if unseen eyes followed your every move, sending shivers down your spine.
‘Stop freaking out,’ you told yourself, ‘it’s just your imagination, there’s people all around you. They have their own lives, they’re not watching you.’
Nearing the curb to an intersection, you glanced up at the street sign. Pete Avenue, finally. Now, think. Left?
Looking left, you peer down the rows of strip clubs and bars. The crowds only got bigger from there, and there seemed to be no residential streets. You turned your head to the right, and it began to branch out into more domesticated buildings and neighborhoods. The farther your gaze traveled, the quieter the sidewalks became.
So, right it is.
You turned the corner of the block and kept moving, your pace quickening as you checked a large digital clock on the side of a building. It was getting closer to the time you had promised to be there.
But, now where were you supposed to go? You turned your head, until your gaze landed on a small imp standing near an alley, a cigarette between his lips.
Walking forward, you raised your hand up in greeting. “Excuse me, do you know where Magdalene Drive is, by any chance? I’ve just gotten a little turned around and would greatly appreciate some guidance.”
The imp regarded you for a moment, his eyes squinted in thought. He pulled the cigarette from his lips, and exhaled a large breath. A plume of gray smoke vented from his lips, and he coughed harshly.
“Yeah, I do. You see that big statue over there?” He pointed to your left, the cigarette hanging between his fingers.
Turning your head, you leaned slightly backwards. Off in the distance, a large marble statue depicting an unknown owl demon practically glowed against the darker backdrop. It seemed to hold resemblance to an Ars Goetia family member, but you couldn’t put a finger on who.
“Right when you pass it, take a left. Go two blocks straight, then take another left. One more block, and another right, and you’re on Magdalene Drive.”
Jeez, that was a lot of directions thrown at you in one sitting. Not wanting to pester the man any further, you waved a thanks and walked away.
How far have you come, exactly? You turned your head behind you, looking down the sidewalk of where you had just come from. Something flickered in your peripheral vision, a dark figure skirting from your gaze. Was someone watching you?
You shook your head. No, it’s just your imagination. Keep moving.
Slowly, you turned back and started walking. The sidewalks were practically empty now, the glow from the street lamps above you illuminating your path as you strolled up the large statue.
Twisting your head to get a better look at it, your gaze skimmed across the royal figure. The owl-demon was staring up at the sky, one arm raised with what seemed to be a ball of energy in his grasp. Swirls of gold marble laced the pearly white sphere. He was holding up, like it was an offering to Heaven.
Maybe, you’d come back later and take a look at the plaque below the statue. There had to be some significance, although you didn’t see yourself as a master of the fine-arts to te-
Crunch
What was that? That sounded like someone crushing a twig beneath their feet. You twisted to face behind you, and saw nothing once more.
‘Alright, this is getting a little freaky.’
You weren’t going to stop now though, you didn’t want any potential onlookers seeing you stalking the perimeter like a weirdo simply because your paranoia was having you hallucinate things.
Keeping your pace, you took a sharp left on the corner and continued down. How many blocks did that guy say? Two, if you could recall correctly.
That’s how many blocks you traveled, before stopping in your tracks. Which way did he say to go? Right? Left?
You rubbed your face with a hand, why did you suck so badly with directions?! If only you had charged your phone before you left, you wouldn’t be in this predicament.
Turning your head, you tried to figure out which way could be the correct one. There was nothing, though. It didn’t remind you of anything you’d seen when you had driven past her house.
“Hey, you lost?” A gravelly voice came from behind you. Eyes widened, you spun on your heel to face the stranger. He was tall, much taller than you. He sported scars running across his face, one eye half-lidded permanently from some kind of nasty wound.
He sported a dark leather jacket, with a thin sweater underneath. His hoodie was up, masking most of his features like a shadow. His skin was a dark red, and his eyes were a pale yellow. He seemed to be a Succubus demon, being too large for an imp.
There was no kindness in his tone or in his smile. Your brain screamed danger, you needed to get away from him. Quickly, you shook your head, trying to give him a well-meaning smile.
“No, i’m not! I’m just uhh- waiting for someone, they’ll be here soon anyway.”
“People that aren’t lost usually don’t ask strangers on the street for directions,” he chuckled darkly, “why don’t you tell me where you’re trying to go? I can give you a lift.”
As he closed in, you could smell the bitter taste of alcohol on his breath. You had to steel yourself not to recoil at his looming figure. Widening your smile, you attempted to not display any fear as he got closer.
“No, thank you. I would hate to bother you, my.. partner should be here soon, so you can continue on with your day!”
“Don’t you know this place ain’t safe for sweet dolls like you to be roaming alone? C’mon, let me take you to where i’m parked, i’m sure you’ll enjoy my company.”
You quickly stepped backwards, trying to widen the distance from this creep. It wasn’t until your back hit the wall of an abandoned storefront, did you realize you were trapped.
“I said no. I’m not some damsel in distress. Now, if you can excuse me, I need to keep going before it gets too late.”
You turned away from him, trying to break any kind of contact with the demon. Maybe if you kept your cool, he’d abandon his little mission.
That was until you felt his hand snake around your wrist, his grip tightening and pulling you to face him. In your state of shock, you dropped the bag containing the Cajun seasoning. You tried to tug your wrist free, but his yellow nails were practically digging into your skin, preventing your escape.
“What’s the rush, Doll? Scared i’m gonna bite or something? Don’t worry, I ain’t gonna harm you. I just want to show you a good time.”
Your eyes narrowed, gaze heated at the stranger. You frowned, glimpsing at his hand on your wrist in disgust.
“What are you doing? I don’t want anything to do with you, now let go of m-!”
“There you are, my dear!” A masculine voice exclaimed next to you. You felt the creep’s grip on your wrist loosen suddenly. His hand yanked away by another, and your gaze traced the light touch of unknown dark-red fingers gently taking your hand instead.
You snapped your head to the unfamiliar voice, taking in the sight of a second demon standing right besides you, a large grin on his face. He was tall, and he stood a little bit higher than the creep in front of you. His hair was styled in a cropped, angled bob, with an odd pinkish-red shade. Two small antlers protruded from the top of his head, and were those.. ears next to them too?
He was dressed rather formally, with a red pin-stripe coat adorned with a large black bow-tie. Over his right eye, you took note of the small oval-shaped monocle. He held a cane, with an odd looking end. The small oval in the center of it reminded you of an eye. He looked very dapper, like he was from a much older era.
His gaze was soft, as he looked at you. It wasn’t until his eyes snapped to the stranger in front did they take on a cold, dark glare. That smile never faltered, though.
Who was this guy? Why was he touching you? You felt the need to tear your hand from his grip as well.
Except, when he turned back to you, his eyes sent you a hidden message. Something like, ‘Go along with it, if you want to get rid of him.’
Seeing as you were stuck between two strange demons, with no idea what this new guy had in store for you, maybe it was a good idea to follow his silent command. Your hand went limp in his grip, and the deer demon raised it to his chest, patting it lovingly.
“Goodness, I leave for ten minutes to go pick up your favorite herbal tea and poof, gone! You are a slippery one, my sweet.” Static dripped from his voice, seemingly connected to the cane at his side. Was it some kind of microphone?
“Who are you?” The stalker questioned, backing up a step as he regarded the new face.
The red demon laughed, an audible ‘ha ha’, as if the creep just told a rather good joke. He extended his free hand in greeting, and the succubus only eyed the gesture with suspicion.
“The name is Alastor! Pleasure to be meeting you, sir, quite a pleasure. It’s rare for people these days to not recognize my face, although i’m sure it’ll become familiar soon enough.”
That ‘soon enough’ sounded quite ominous to you. And, was he some kind of celebrity or something? You didn’t remember him from anywhere.
“Well, do you mind? Me and the lady were in the middle of a conversation.” The succubus retorted, a slight growl in his tone.
“The better question is, do you mind, my good sir! Here I am, searching for my dear wife, only to see you bothering her on the corner!”
Wait a second, did this guy just call you his wife? You stood there, shocked, as you listened to the two bicker. Never would you think you’d hear that uttered from a man.
“Not only that, but touching her without her consent? My word, what degenerate behavior!” The demon, Alastor, continued. He shook his head in disapproval, an audible tsk-tsk coming from his lips.
“There was no harm in it, we were only having some fun. Ain’t that right, Doll?” The stalker turned to you, fire in his gaze as if daring you to speak.
You shook your head, your gaze snapping to Alastor. He watched you for a moment, before turning his attention back to the succubus.
“It seems your mother neglected to instill in you even a modicum of respect. If my wife weren’t here to witness, I'd be more than obligated to educate you on proper decorum.”
Something flickered in the creep’s eyes, and for a moment he looked almost afraid. After a moment, He sneered, eyeing you up and down. "I don't see a ring on her finger."
Alastor smirked, and gently lifted your hand forward for the demon to get a look at. His grin was that of triumph, as though he was showcasing a prized possession.
Your eyes widened at the sight, a gasp almost escaping your lips. On your finger, was a small gold ring. It was snuggled nicely around your digit, a perfect fit.
The Succubus leaned in, and so did you. Where the hell did that come from? That was not there a few minutes ago!
On closer inspection, you noticed something about the small band. Engraved in a tiny rose-gold font, was a single letter.
A.
"There, now do you see?" Alastor's grin widened, his demeanor playful yet menacing. His eyes narrowed, as he waited for the demon's response. You felt the air crackle with some kind of energy, it was dark and cold. The hair on the back of your neck began to stand on its end, like static. Which one of the demons was doing that?
The stalker’s expression shifted from arrogance to confusion, then to frustration. He furrowed his brow, studying the ring intently as if searching for some kind of flaw.
Was he going to try and argue? The proof was there, albeit fabricated. Alastor dropped your hand, and instead snaked his arm around yours, locking you in place.
There was no argument didn’t, instead, the succubus took another step back. The demon straightened himself and shrugged, like the scene before him was not a bother, like his filthy plan wasn’t thwarted by the appearance of the powerful deer man.
“Whatever, I ain’t got time for this anyway. Enjoy the rest of your evening, Lovebirds.”
As the man turned away, Alastor’s grin widened as he nodded his head. “Farewell, and may your endeavors be as futile as your manners!”
He turned to you, that dark look gone from his eyes as he gently tugged at your arm, still laced with his. “Now, my dear, shall we continue on our evening stroll?”
You nodded slowly, and together, the two of you turned away from the creep and began to walk. You had only made it a few steps before you heard the soft knocking of Alastor’s staff hitting the cement walkway. What was he doing?
Behind you, a strangled cry filled the silence, before a loud thump hit your ears. You jolted at the sound, did something just happen? It sounded like someone got hurt!
Right as you were about to turn your head to look at where the noises had emanated from, Alastor’s head snapped to you and you felt another gentle tug on your arm to turn your attention back to him.
You looked up at him, a smile forming on your lips as your nerves settled. “Thank you, for saving me, kind sir. I could have been a goner.”
“It was no trouble at all my dear, and please, call me Alastor. I was simply in the neighborhood and couldn’t just stand by and let that rapscallion manhandle you like that! Now, where are we off to, if I might ask?”
“Oh, well, Magdalene Drive! It’s a house right at the end of a street, my friend's place actually. She’s expecting me for dinner, that’s why I have this bag of…”
You became suddenly aware of the empty feeling in your hand. Did you forget to pick up the seasoning after you dropped it?! You groaned internally, your head hung in defeat. After all that, you didn’t have the one item you had taken this route to get.
Alastor raised an eyebrow at your reaction, and you quickly explained, “I needed to get Cajun seasoning for the meal they are making, but I dropped it when that.. man was harassing me! I’m terribly sorry, I have to go back and get it.”
Alastor only smiled, as usual, and shook his head. He waved his hand in a sweeping motion, brushing off your attempt to turn around.
“Nonsense! We don’t need to bother that poor soul any longer. Here, let me give you one from my personal collection!”
He lifted his free hand, and snapped his fingers. In a flicker of green light, a small spice jar landed in his palm. Your eyes widened, an amused smile gracing your lips as you watched the little trick. That was pretty cool. Was that the same kind of magic he used to secretly place the ring on your finger?
“Here you are! The best Cajun seasoning you can find in Pentagram City, my personal favorite. I was going to use it for something special, but it seems you are in need of it more than I.”
He lifted his hand toward you, and you took it gratefully. Lifting it to your nose, you inhaled deeply. It was an odd scent, one you couldn’t quite place, but it smelled quite delicious.
“Not many dishes require such flavoring, what is the meal you are having tonight?”
You shrugged, “I'm not really sure, to be honest. She didn’t say.”
“Hm, a pity. Have you ever tried Jambalaya? It is a rather magnificent dish, my personal favorite actually! My mother was quite the cook, indeed, and her craft would never miss when producing such delicacies.”
“No, I've never tried it before. What does it taste like?”
“It is hard to put a description on it. It’s almost like.. fireworkings popping off in your mouth! Ha ha, that is a good way to put it. You really must try it sometime.”
You smiled at Alastor as you listened to his words. Perhaps, you would.
“What got you into this pickle, anyway? Surely you didn’t actually feel like taking a stroll so late in the evening, hm?” He questioned as the two of you continued your pace, “a pretty face like yours will cause quite the stir amongst the filthy rats that like to inhabit this place.”
“Oh, well, I was using my phone for directions. It died on the way here, unfortunately I'm not familiar with this area and couldn’t find my way forward.”
His words finally processed in your brain. Did he just call you pretty? You didn’t get to think about that for much longer as his static-laced voice filled the air once more.
“Ah, of course. This new.. modern technology is nothing short of a fraud, if I do say. What ever happened to the old fashioned paper map? If it were up to me, we wouldn’t be so reliant on such faulty equipment.”
“Is that what your staff is? It looks like a microphone.” You said, pointing to the cane in his other hand.
Alastor glanced down to his cane, and then back to you. “Aha, a clever one indeed! Yes, my dear, I use it for my radio broadcasts!”
You perked at that. Radio? You had one of your own at home. Although it was quite dusty, you did occasionally turn it on to see what latest hits were circling around in the music industry.
“You do radio? That’s actually kind of interesting! Do you have a big audience?”
“Yes, indeed! Back when I was at my highest with it, I had many listeners. Unfortunately, my absence from Pentagram City has led to other forms taking the spotlight. I plan on rectifying that once I've settled in. Perhaps, you could listen in as well to see what I have to offer?”
You nodded at that, perhaps, you would listen in. He had a nice, pleasant voice. It felt like you could sit there for hours and just listen to him speak. Even if the words that came from his mouth was nothing but gibberish, you’d still let his voice drown out your thoughts.
“What about you?” The static dripping from his voice causes you to turn your head, “what do you do for a living?”
“Oh, well, I work at a men’s formalwear store. So, like tuxedos, dress shirts, and all that jazz. I help assist with fittings and greet guests, basically the doorgirl. Nothing too important.”
His ears perked slightly as he listened, and he turned his head to you. “Well, isn’t that interesting! Just recently, I had an awfully rude encounter with another demon, who had torn a piece of my suit. That slippery little serpent got away before I could.. question him about his antics.”
“That’s awful! Who was it?”
Alastor chuckled, rolling his eyes as he recalled the event. “Oh, nobody of importance, I assure you. Just some pretentious upstart fancying himself as an Overlord, with a knack for building rather ghastly creations of destruction. Since that encounter, I've been in the market for a fresh look. If a place of formal employs such splendid characters like you, I think it would be in my best interest to take a look in your establishment for a new coat”
Your eyes widened, he wanted to buy a new suit at your work because.. you were there? How charming.
Taking another glance at him, you realized he was rather good-looking. His red hair popped out against his much paler skin, it shined against the streetlights above. It looked rather silky and smooth, like you could comb them with your fingers and not find a single knot.
And those ears? They were pretty cute, actually. They stuck up from his head, and every so often they would twitch or shrivel in the direction of sudden noises. They seemed so soft too, would they feel as good as they looked if you were to squish them between your fingers?
He was a well-mannered gentleman, a pretty rare specimen in Hell. Not only that, but he stepped in to defend you from that creep when he could have simply walked by. He didn’t, and that made your cheeks heat up. Especially with the fact he called you his wife, instead of something simpler like ‘friend’.
What about when he called you pretty? Did he actually mean that? You never regarded yourself as such, but if Alastor thought that, maybe you cou-
“Is this the house?” Alastor’s words pulled you back into reality. You blinked, before looking up at the pale blue cottage snuggled nicely between two large Victorian homes. The talks you were having must have kept you from noticing the large distance.
“Yes! This is the place!” You exclaimed happily, finally, you were here. You turned to him, before looking down at your arm, still laced with his. Slowly, you pulled your arm free. The cold that replaced his touch was unwelcomed. Which felt odd to you, why did you want him touching you still?
You had only just met him, but perhaps his way of speaking and heroics swooned you enough to miss the warmth of his grasp. Lifting your head to meet his gaze, you tried to see what he was thinking behind that constant smile.
His eyes were unreadable, but the cold stare he had given the succubus, and to the other onlookers that you had occasionally passed was missing as he looked at you. There seemed to be a smile in his eyes, one that was meaningful and true.
“Well, I'm glad I could assist you in finding your way home, my dear. I quite enjoyed our chat, it is refreshing to hear from a new face once in a while. Especially one as eloquent as yours.”
You had to keep yourself from visibly blushing. He really was a gentleman in all regards. You bowed your head respectfully, before meeting his gaze again.
“The only reason why I'm here is because of you, Alastor. Thank you, and I do hope to run into you in the future. Our conversation was very interesting, I'd love to hear more of it sometime.”
He tilted his head at you, as he regarded your words. “Indeed, perhaps we will. Maybe, the next time we cross paths, I can give you a glimpse into my mothers recipe of Jambalaya. I’m sure your friend would be interested in trying something new the next time you sit down for dinner.”
You smiled at him, before waving goodbye. Turning towards the door you lightly rapped your knuckles against its wooden frame. It was then that you realized you never properly introduce yourself.
“Oh! I’m sorry, I never got to tell you, my name is-”
The words halted in your mouth, as you found the space in front of you empty. Alastor had vanished, not a single trace of his presence remained.
He was gone already? Damn, that guy moved quickly. Maybe, he was just a hallucination, a dream too good to be true. You stood there for a moment, before closing your mouth in thought.
Suddenly, the front door was flung open and a hand reached out and grasped your top. You turned your head just as you were yanked inside. Before you had time to blink, the door was slammed shut behind you. The window near it was shielded by curtains in seconds.
In front of you, your friend stood there. She was breathing heavily, a hand to her heart as if she just witnessed the scariest thing in her life. She quickly held your shoulders, scanning your body for any injuries.
“Oh my gosh! You’re lucky I pulled you in here quickly,” She exhaled a breath to calm her nerves, “You could have been that guy’s next meal!”
“What are you talking about?” You asked, an eyebrow raised at her strange demeanor.
“Alastor! The Radio Demon! Y’know, the guy that murdered all those overlords years ago?”
You raised an eyebrow as her words settled in your head. That demon was the Radio Demon? No way! He was such a gentleman, and rather pleasant too!
“You’re kidding.”
“I’m not! I don’t know what happened between the two of you, hopefully not a deal, but you need to stay away from him. He’s nothing but a bad omen!”
You smiled, shaking your head at her antics. She was just being silly, Alastor saved you from potentially being kidnapped. You doubted he’d lay a finger on you in a harmful manner.
“Well, I brought that seasoning. Why don’t we go take a tour of the place, hm?” You said, pulling her away from the doorway and down the hall.
She nodded, her face lighting up instantly. “Yes, a great idea! I can’t wait to show you the kitchen, we replaced practically everything. The flooring is a beautiful marble tile and…“
She trailed off as her gaze shot to your hand, her eyes widening at the sight. Quickly, she grasped it, and pulled it closer to inspect it. You tensed, what was she doing?
“..what is that on your finger? I didn’t know you wore this kind of jewelry!”
Following her gaze, you turned your hand slightly to see what she was so enthralled about, and your eyebrows raised in surprise at the sight.
Still perfectly snug on your finger, was that gold ring Alastor had magically placed on you. You assumed that it would have dissolved or vanished when he left, but that small A still glimmered in the overhead light.
“I’ll explain it over dinner.” You simply replied, pulling your hand out of her grip and beginning to walk further into the house.
Your eyes kept landing on the golden band, though. Alastor not far from your mind as you listened to your friend fill you in on all the renovations. It was quite pretty, and it seemed to look great on you. For a moment, a rather odd thought crossed your mind, causing your cheeks to heat as you lamented over it.
Would it be so bad if you just.. kept it on?

woah, first fic of Alastor! I thought he’d be the perfect guy for this scenario. i wrote the reader as sort of a hopeless romantic bc it’s the complete opposite of al and i thought it was funny
So what about Reader and Sevika doing a scene and Reader always gets super flustered when Sevika asks her "tell me who you belong to" with a hand around Reader's throat? So flustered that Sevika always has to ask if she wants to continue. (The answer is still yes lol)
GOD this is so sevika coded it isn't even funny (especially now that we know she's choking cait out in season 2, my girl just loves choking)
men and minors dni
"you like that, baby?" sevika asks from behind you. she's been fucking you into the mattress for half an hour now, and she can clearly tell that you like it by the way you're whining and moaning and shaking beneath her. still. she likes hearing you say it.
"fuck, sev, fuck, fuck, fuck, i love it, i love it, i love it sevika." you babble. you're practically incoherent. sevika loves it.
"you're just so fuckin' cute, y'know?" she teases as she reaches forward and pulls you out of the mattress with a hand to your shoulder. "cryin' on my dick-- fuck i love you. i love this cunt-- love how fuckin' messy you are for me. look at you."
she smacks your ass and you squeal. "sevika-- i'm so fuckin' close." you whine. sevika chuckles and lets go of your shoulder. you collapse back onto the bed and squeak when she pulls out of you. "wha!?" you whine. "why'd you--" you cut yourself off with another squeal when sevika flips you onto your back.
"wanted to see your pretty face when you cum." she explains as she lines her strap back up with your entrance. you reach up and cover your face-- embarrassed by her words. sevika grunts and shoves back inside you, smacking your hands away from your face. "lemme see." she demands.
you give up on trying to hide, letting your hands flop down to grab sevika's hips as she fucks you. "i love you, sev." you whimper as you start to fall apart.
"fuck, i love you too." a shudder runs all the way down your spine at her words, and sevika smirks. "gonna cum?" she asks. you nod desperately underneath her. she chuckles, and reaches down with one hand to wrap it around your throat. "i'll let you cum, baby. just tell me who you belong to first."
you must black out.
one moment sevika's fucking you mindless, her hand around your throat-- and the next she's still between your legs, blinking down at you with concern, both her hands cupping your face.
you blink up at her. "wha? why'd you stop?" you ask-- your voice shaky.
sevika snorts a bit, blinking at you like you're crazy. "are you okay?" she asks. you frown.
"y-yeah? a little pissed i'm still waiting to cum but--"
"baby, you just came so hard you passed out! i was worried i actually choked you out." sevika chuckles. "i was about two seconds away from calling a fuckin' ambulance-- no idea how i'd explain that to the paramedics."
as you take in your surroundings, you realize that she's probably right-- if the way your cunt's fluttering around her strap and the puddle of cum under your ass is anything to go by.
you burst into giggles. "well that's what you get for being so fuckin' hot! shit, sevika, gimmie a warning before you try 'n kill me next time, okay?" you ask.
sevika sighs in relief and melts on top of you, giggling and kissing your skin anywhere she can reach. "you had me fuckin' worried." she mumbles.
you giggle. "did you finish?" you ask.
"no, but we're done for tonight-- i nearly shat myself when you passed out, i'm not feeling sexy anymore." she says. you snort.
"hmm. that's a shame." you say, wrapping your legs and arms around her as you speak. sevika glares up at you, knowing the mischievous tone in your voice.
"why's that?" she asks.
"well, if you were still in the mood-- i'd answer your question for you." you say, trying to make your voice as sultry as possible. sevika raises an eyebrow at you.
"what question?"
"who i belong to." you remind her. "mmm. i wouldn't just answer it either, i'd show you."
sevika groans and bites your shoulder, and you burst into laughter as her hips start to move against yours again.
