I mean sure I can leave everything and go live a hippie life in the mountains but I'll be dumping all my pending "financial" responsibilities on someone else. And I'd rather not let this be anyone else's headache.

Why don't they teach us finances in school, properly? Instead of, let's say, teaching supremely religious moral sciences?
