I’m blessed to have lived significant portions of my life with my heroes. Not some distant ancestors or untouchable celebrities but REAL, true heroes that got out of bed every day and did their best to live out God’s creative purposes in this world for its betterment — even when their own personal circumstances conspired to silence them. Nano, you taught me so much but most of all the ability to see other sides and perspectives in every story and how to listen with compassion. Professor J. You taught me steadfastness and the value of developing my skill was perhaps even more important than having talent. Both of you taught me the value of lifelong learning, insatiable curiosity and being proud to claim the mantle of “artist”. Thank you for selflessly sharing your knowledge, time, resources, humor and enthusiasm. You have been examples of Jesus in more ways than you’ll know. Come see #LasVegas' only #ArtHouse, a refurbished 1940's house, originally used by railroad workers who helped build the Hoover Dam. It's jam-packed full of #Art by experienced and emerging artists of all ages. A wide variety of styles and genre are represented.
