if youngmin was ever sure of anything, it would be that he never got over you. it didn’t matter which part of you, or which aspect of your personality; it was only common knowledge among his friends that the thought of you always lingered in his head. since the very first step you took out of his penthouse, bags packed and not a single trace of you left behind, youngmin has never stopped missing you.
even on nights he rode till late, beating traffic lights, speeding across the highways, more often than not, he’d find himself on the route to your apartment block as if on auto-pilot. and then the realisation hits him and he drifts as he makes a u-turn to wherever the motorcycle takes him.
he tries to get drunk every time his body drags him into a club, indifferent and emotionless. yet his heart remains cold and the same, taking a stranger back home just to temporarily overcome the loneliness that has washed over the penthouse. as though he’s merely trying to convince himself that he’s doing well without you. as though he wants to show you that he doesn’t need you to fill the void in his chest.
but he has to face the truth someday — no one could compare to you. every shot of alcohol he takes can’t compare to how drunk you make him feel. every woman that has his name rolling off her tongue can’t compare to your quiet pleas against his skin. forget having good sex, it didn’t feel right if it wasn’t you.
sometimes his wildest thoughts cave him in. sometimes he thinks he’d seen you somewhere in the crowded, noisy club, all messy hair and skin-tight dress and dancing to the music haphazardly. sometimes he thinks he hears your voice in his ear, louder than the blaring speakers, making him look around frantically and trying to find you in the pockets of people in the tight space.
at some point of time he thinks he has it all under control, that the strings that tie him to you are getting looser with each kiss he leaves on a stranger’s bare skin. but youngmin has got it all wrong when he wakes up with a bitch hangover and finds himself lighting another cigarette at three in the morning, as though it’s you he’s breathing in time and time again, only for him to let everything go in puffs of toxic smoke.
slowly the pictures and 15 second videos of you and your new boyfriend start being posted on instagram. youngmin takes notice, his thumb pressing on the screen of his phone to stop and stare at the wide smile plastered on your face. he could not be bothered about the other man’s attributes; whether he was more good-looking or richer, or if he was funnier and gentler. the only thing that mattered to youngmin was that you looked happier, and maybe it made him more upset than he would’ve liked to admit to anyone.
he’s reckless, showing up at another club the following weekend, dressed in all black and a loose, tie-dyed grey denim jacket. almost immediately upon sitting down on the stool at the bar, he’s downed a shot of vodka, the familiar strong taste washing his mouth and burning his palate.
not enough, the voice at the back of his head prods, and he’s downing a good five shots. it’s starting to heat up as he gets tipsy, head spinning and throat on fire. he dismisses the few women who come and go, the high-pitched voices a little bit too much for him. he quickly gets agitated, raising his tone a little bit to tell them to leave him alone. he doesn’t think it’ll be a good night for him.
youngmin figures he’s just going to stay at the club until he gets bored of people-watching. he cringes at those eating each other’s faces off, raises his eyebrows at fems who scan him up and down, fiddles with the silver watch wrapped around his wrist. he’s sick of it. undeniably so.
he gets up to leave, and it’s about midnight as he pays for the alcohol and heads towards the exit. just as he’s about to leave the premises, he has to do a double take.
you’re there. standing in line, arm linked with another man’s. wine-red dress ending mid-thigh, hair swept over to one shoulder. you’re glowing, and he has to look away. maybe a second too late.
“youngmin?” it’s like your voice sobers him up in an instant. “it’s you, right?”
he glances at you, a small, hesitant smile on his face. “yeah,” he stops in his tracks. “have a good night. enjoy yourself.”
Summary: You had always believed that getting to wear your boyfriend’s clothing was something magical that all women got to experience at least once. But being on the chubbier side, you didn’t expect it to ever happen for you.
Pairing: Lim Youngmin x chubby reader
Genre: fluff, fluff and more fluff. Oh and older woman (noona)/younger man au
A/N: When I first got into Youngmin when I was watching P101, I remember a video interview he did just as MXM started where he said he preferred cute and chubby women over sexy and slender. And that he would like someone older than him. I’m sure he will love whoever he meets in life that he’s attracted to, but as a chubby noona, I’ll admit, I rejoiced! Recently, this idea came to me out of nowhere, so I’m really happy to share it with you all now.
I know this is a little specific with sizing and age, but I’m sure a lot of people can relate to thinking they might not fit a certain mold in society and doubt their ability to do whatever that is. So I’ll hope you give this a read regardless. Because it’s ridiculously cute!

You shivered against the cold air, wrapping your arms around your body to keep warm. It had been sunny all day long and as your date with your new boyfriend Youngmin progressed into the night, you realised you had forgotten to bring something with you to keep you warm now that the sun was gone and replaced by the stars above.
Youngmin noticed your discomfort and shrugged off his denim jacket immediately. “Here, wear this.”
“Oh, I’m fine!” you said over-enthusiastically, dismissing his offer with a desperate smile. “Honestly, you keep it for you.”
“I’m warm and you just shook against the chill of the wind, Noona.”
You smiled forcibly, and let your arms hang loosely at your sides again. Truth be told, you were becoming quite affected by how cold it was. And, the fact that Youngmin had offered his jacket did make your heart swoon.
But you couldn’t accept it.
For years, you had actively perused novels as a teenager, smiling and squealing giddily at the romantic chivalry of the male protagonists. Whether it was offering a coat to their girlfriend or love interest when it was chilly, or doing little gestures to brighten their world, you had soaked it all up, excited for when you would one day get the blessing of receiving such gestures from someone you loved in real life.
You hadn’t been prepared for the beautiful imagery you had nurtured over those juvenile years to be shattered when you got your first boyfriend. You had played the move effortlessly, forgetting your coat one time on a date just to see what your boyfriend’s reaction would be. And then when the fateful moment came and he offered you his varsity jacket, well, you had been utterly embarrassed.
Because you had never expected it not to fit.
You weren’t someone who was considered in one weight camp over the other. You weren’t skinny enough to wear anything with ease, but you had never considered yourself to be greatly overweight either. You were thicker than most of your friends, but you had always been that way. Your mother had affectionately referred to you as big boned, and well, those bones of yours made it impossible for you to do up your boyfriend’s jacket.
“Oh, it doesn’t fit you, how about you take it off, Y/N? I didn’t think your arms would be that thick compared to mine.”
You decided that perhaps it was because you were going through another body change in life and he was more on the slender side. Not once had you thought of body size being an issue since everything happened so easily in fictions. You attempted not to let it deter you, though you subconsciously became more aware of your chubbier parts and tried to lose weight so you wouldn’t face something like this again.
With your next boyfriend, it was with sheer misfortune that you had gotten wet helping out with a booth during orientation week in your second year of university and your boyfriend had taken you into the club room to borrow something from his stash of clothes to wear instead.
Nothing fitted you and you went home, ashamed and cold.
You had vowed from that moment on, no matter who you dated, you just wouldn’t accept their offers over clothing. It wasn’t worth the heartache or the self-destructive thoughts over your body either.
You were happy within your skin as you were but you weren’t immune to feeling self-conscious like any other human out there either.
“Are you sure?” Youngmin continued and you nodded, pushing through the sting against your bare arms and smiled up at him.
You would do better to be more prepared next time.
As you continued to date Youngmin, you realised just how sweet and doting he was. He really was exactly who you had dreamed of over the years to have at your side, and whilst you hadn’t expected to date someone younger, you loved everything about him.
Except when he would insist he help you with things you knew he couldn’t.
“I’m fine, I bought a coat this time!” you cried, reaching into the bag you had been lugging around on your date and pulling it out before he could take off his hoodie. Slipping it on, you made a bit of a production in assuring him you were comfortable, smiling brightly up at Youngmin once you were done.
He sighed heavily. “Will you never let me do anything for you?”
“You don’t have to give up your warmth for me, Min. It’s a modern era now, old chivalry is over. Have you heard the new approach of women giving up their coats for their boyfriends now too? If you ever get cold, I’ll give you mine instead, okay?”
“Why? You never accept when I do anything for you like that.” Youngmin shook his head adamantly and his gaze grew guarded, hiding his disappointment below the surface.
You frowned; you didn’t understand why he was so upset. You were simply saving him the burden and you the embarrassment. Trying to shrug the moment off, you reached out for his hand and cuddled into his side. It wasn’t long until he was smiling again.
But moments like that continued. You could tell he was trying his best to ensure you were happy and comfortable whenever you were with him; though it was starting to draw a small wedge between you both.
You didn’t want him to suffer and he didn’t know why you would excessively become so independent on dates like that. You started to enjoy spending your time together at his or your apartment instead, where you didn’t have to worry about any of the ailments of the outdoors to cause an issue for you.
As the movie you were watching rolled into the credits, you glanced over at Youngmin and smiled. “That was a good movie, huh?”
“We could have gone to see it at the theatre a couple of months ago, Y/N. It would have been better on the big screen,” he replied and you felt awkward, reaching for your glass of juice hastily to distract yourself from his statement. You didn’t have a proper grip on it as you thought when you went to take a drink and proceeded to spill it on your dress.
You gasped, horrified at doing something so foolish. Especially since tonight, you were at Youngmin’s home and not yours.
“Just wait here, I’ll get you a towel,” Youngmin instructed and you sat there, scolding yourself repeatedly until he returned, a towel and one of his hoodies within his grip. You reached out for the towel appreciatively.
“Thanks, this will do.”
“You’re soaked, there’s no way I’m letting you stay in that, Noona.” He placed the hoodie down beside you. “You need to change.”
“I’ll be fine. It’ll dry soon enough and-”
“Why do you always reject my clothing offers? Is there something about them that you don’t like?”
You stared at Youngmin, unsure of what to say. You had believed you were doing the right thing by ensuring you could look after yourself. Not once had it dawned on you that your rejection of his offers would have a negative affect on how he viewed himself as your boyfriend.
Your gaze grew wide as you shook your head. “There’s nothing wrong with them or you.”
“Then why do you always make a big deal about not needing my assistance? You confuse me because you love when I dote over you so I thought you were a romantic at heart and would appreciate my attempts.”
“I do and I am,” you agreed, nodding quickly. Clutching at the towel, you decided to be honest. “I don’t want to embarrass you.”
“Y/N, it’s a bit late for that,” Youngmin admitted and you shook your head.
“I mean, I’m not skinny, Youngmin. The idea that your girlfriend can fit your clothes, it doesn’t go for everyone. I didn’t want you to feel the awkwardness of a moment when I can’t fit your clothes. That’s why I’ve done what I have in the past.”
He was silent, processing your words. Youngmin then smiled, his large hand reaching out to cup your face. “That’s really it?”
“Well, it’s to protect my heart too, I’ll admit. In the past, I’ve had to learn about the clothing thing the hard way.”
“In the past, you never dated someone like me either,” he commented, gesturing a hand to his height. He was right; he was your tallest boyfriend to date. Youngmin grinned. “You even claimed my shoulders are ridiculously broad.”
“Well, they are!”
“And I like my hoodies to be baggy, so I tend to buy larger sizes.” He gave you an encouraging smile and you realised what he wasn’t saying.
To give his clothing a try, it might just fit.
With a determined inhale, you nodded and took the hoodie from him, leaving the living room so you could remove your dress in the bathroom. After patting down your skin with the towel, you reached for his hoodie that you had placed down on the side of the basin and slipped it over your head.
And finally, the magic happened. You stared at yourself in the mirror ahead as you rearranged the garment a little, shoving your hands through the sleeves that were too long for you. A giggle soon erupted from within you, and you did a quick check over.
So, it wasn’t entirely something that looked giant on you as most depictions of a girl wearing a guy’s clothing were expressed as. But you fitted his hoodie and you felt as if you had succeeded with some sort of girlfriend ritual of being able to fit his clothes.
Entering the living room again, you beamed at Youngmin. “It fits!”
“Yes it does,” he murmured, eying you quietly.
Your elation eased off at his affected gaze. You frowned. “Do I not look good in it?”
“Well, uh…” He blushed deeply and that’s when you realised it. Now Youngmin was experiencing his own boyfriend ritual.
Seeing his girlfriend in his clothes.
“I want to keep it on,” you confirmed and he blinked away from his thoughts, nodding softly.
“Are you going to go home and sleep in it?” he questioned and you stared up at him, wondering how he had read your mind. That was exactly what you were going to do when you left to go home tonight.
Youngmin smirked. “Noona, you’re not the only one who has had fantasies about this. Guys like seeing their girlfriends in their stuff. It’s like a rite of passage.”
“So we’re now truly official since I’m finally wearing your clothes?”
Youngmin pulled you into his arms, kissing you softly. “We’ve been official for weeks now, Y/N. But I like seeing you in my clothes a little too much already. I hope we face more incidents where you need to borrow them.”
You grinned and nodded. After all, you now hoped for that too.
he’ll probably be the most mature about the whole situation. he’d get you pads/tampons no problem. he wouldn’t make a big deal out of it. he’d always try to find a way to ease your cramps. and if you ask him to cuddle with you he’ll happily do it.
woong
he’d be slightly awkward but he’d try to hide it. but it will still be kinda obvious. and so you’d spare him the pain of having to buy pads/tampons. he’d try his best to make you feel as comfortable as possible; giving you medicines to ease your cramps, making food, cuddling with you.
donghyun
he’d be kinda like youngmin. but he’d tease you and make your life harder lol. like, let’s say your cramps were really bad and you wanted to get some pills, donghyun would use this as an opportunity to take the pills and put them somewhere high up so you either have to climb up or ask him for help. but if he sees that his behaviour is getting on your nerves he’d stop.
woojin
i actually don’t know about him? i feel that he wouldn’t care that much? like, don’t get me wrong, he’ll try his best to help you but he would be kinda like “yeah, period, it’s a thing, what about it?”. but if you ask him for cuddles get ready to stay in bed entire day eating snacks while he hugs you.
daehwi
he might be a little awkward about buying you pads/tampons but other than that he’d be perfectly fine? like, he’d literally do anything but buy pads/tampons. you ask him for food? he’d get it. you ask him for pills? he’d buy them. you ask him to just lay down with you and cuddle? he’d do it.
A/N: Not requested, just wanted to put this for Youngmin’s birthday and for Christmas! Sorry this is a little delayed, it’s been one heck of a week for me, and sorry it doesn’t have as much Youngmin as I wanted originally, I didn’t know how to put it in without forcing it. Also I had two ideas in my head and kinda tried to combine them, I hope it worked?

You always felt bad for your boyfriend - having a birthday on a major holiday meant that he didn’t get the attention or the celebration he deserved. And you being the extra partner that you are, you decided to give him just that.
So now here you are, planning the biggest birthday party you could without Youngmin finding out. You’re thankful for AB6IX, because for once they (mostly) are cooperating and helping you make a lot of progress. You’re sitting at yours and Youngmin’s shared apartment with Woong, Donghyun, and Daehwi, trying to sort out and hang up decorations before guests appear. Woojin is on distraction duty, having taken Youngmin to the recording studio to “work on rap lyrics.” You wanted to ring in Youngmin’s birthday with everyone, so you decided on a later party on Christmas Eve - luckily AB6IX was okay with this and didn’t mind staying up for it.
Once you guys finally get most of the decorations up, you get a message on your phone:
[9:17]
From: Woojin
To: Y/N
Is 9pm still good?
[8:18]
From: Y/N
To: Woojin
Yeah, should be good. I’ll let you know if that changes! Thanks for being distraction duty :)
“Okay guys, I gotta start on the food, you guys finish the decorations. Woong, help me cook please!” you say when you realise you only have a little over half an hour until Youngmin shows up.
You and Woong quickly get the food going, and you’re ever thankful that you already made the cake earlier that day and only have to decorate it.
As you decorate the cake to the best of your ability, Woong attends to the food on the stove and in the oven, and you two make quick work of making enough of Youngmin’s favourites to feed 6 hungry mouths, and by 8:50 everything is pretty much finished. Donghyun and Daehwi finished decorating and are working on making a party playlist, to which you have to toss them your phone to look at Youngmin’s favourites to make sure they put things on that he will enjoy.
[8:52]
From: Y/N
To: Woojin
All good! Come on over whenever, and bring hungry stomachs with you
[8:53]
From: Woojin
To: Y/N
Thank goodness, if I have to hear how hungry he is one more time…
[8:53]
From: Y/N
To: Woojin
You sure that’s not just you being hangry too? :)
And right at 9:00 you hear the keypad on your front door, signalling the appearance of your boyfriend and his groupmate.
“SURPRISE!” the four of you exclaim as the two enter the room.
“What’s this?” Youngmin asks, clearly confused by the situation at hand.
“It’s your birthday party, jagi! I knew you didn’t get to celebrate as much on your actual birthday because of Christmas growing up, so I wanted you to get the party you deserve,” you say to him, making the whole moment sentimental.
Youngmin comes up to you and holds you tight, nuzzling his face into your hair. “Thank you, jagiya. I love you so much, what did I ever do to deserve you?”
“I love you too, babe. Now come on, let’s eat and celebrate you! We’ll ring in your birthday together,” you say, giving him a kiss and dragging him into the kitchen.
As the night progresses, everyone settles into conversation and festivities, noshing on the food you and Woong worked hard on. After Youngmin opens his gifts from you and the members, you bring out the carefully decorated cake with “Happy Birthday” candles lit sticking out of the top just as the clock is about to hit midnight. Everyone breaks into song, belting out “Happy Birthday” at the top of their lungs.
“Happy birthday, babe. Make a wish and blow out your candles!” you say excitedly. Youngmin thinks for a second, before smiling to himself and blowing out the candles. After you cut and pass around slices of the cake for everyone, you sit next to Youngmin to have a peaceful moment to just you two.
“Did you like your party? I hope it wasn’t too much,” you ask, hoping he’s enjoyed his night.
“Yes, jagi, it was perfect, thank you so much. I love you so much,” he pulls you into him, cuddling you on the couch with one arm and cake in the other.
“So… what did you wish for?”
“You’ll have to wait and see. If I told you, it wouldn’t come true,” he says with a knowing smile.
Eventually, everyone filters out after helping you clean up a bit, leaving you and Youngmin to yourselves. You two get ready for bed and lay down, cuddling under the blankets.
“Really, thank you so much for today, Y/N. This really did make me so happy and grateful. I really wasn’t expecting it either - you guys really took me by surprise. How long have you been planning this?”
“Uhh… like 2 months, maybe 3? It’s hard keeping things from you for so long when I tell you everything and when we live together. Luckily, Rhymer let us keep the decorations in a storage closet for the last two weeks,” you muse. “I actually have one more gift for you. Close your eyes,” you say, getting out of bed. Youngmin covers his eyes with his hands as you head into the guest room. You get the gift and come back into the bedroom, placing the gift in his lap. “Open your eyes, jagi.”
Youngmin opens his eyes and looks down to see a ball of fluff standing in his lap. “What is this? You got me a kitten?” he asks, astounded at the mini ball of fluff purring happily in his lap.
“His name is Pluto. I went to the cat cafe one day with my friend Heesun and bonded with him immediately. He wouldn’t leave my lap the entire time we were there and even climbed on my shoulder when I went to get my drink. We talked about getting a cat and then Pluto happened, I thought maybe it was meant to be. He seems to have taken a liking to you, too,” you gush about the grey little creature who purred his way into your life.
“He’s so cute, I adore him. I’m glad we could give him a home. Where has he been since you found him?” Youngmin inquires.
“The cafe agreed to hold on to him for another couple weeks and I picked him up and his supplies today after you left for the studio. He hung out with us as we decorated, he’s really social. He really liked Daehwi, too.”
“Pssh, Pluto’s been here for less than a day and Daehwi’s already stealing his attention,” Youngmin jokes about Daehwi’s ability to befriend anyone. “Alright, let’s settle into bed. Is he sleeping with us?”
“Let’s bring his bed into the room and have him sleep in that. He can hog our bed when he gets older,” you joke, although you know that he’s absolutely going to take over your bed when he gets bigger.
You bring Pluto’s bed into the room next to the foot of your bed and get him settled in. He falls fast asleep, and you and Youngmin return to cuddling. You make small talk until you both fall into a peaceful slumber, listening to Pluto’s purring sounds fill the room.

A/N PS: I have this idea in my head that Youngmin and his partner will be great cat parents? Idk I just think he’d be so cute with pets, and he said he prefers cats over dogs so maybe that’s where it came from.
Being a Prince in the wide Kingdom of Zeshoyvania has its ups and it’s downs no matter what happens. May it be ruling their country, or finding peace with the surrounding countries, they’re always in the eye of the public. Trying to keep their country happy is one thing, but trying to find a princess to rule it with them is another.
Pulling your knees up to your chest, you buried yourself even deeper into the covers of your bed, hoping the soft sheets would bury you forever. You tried your best to steady your breathing and remain calm but it was no use. Within seconds, you felt the trails of tears rolling slowly down your cheeks. This time, the one person you would usually call to help dry your tears was now the reason for them.
Like a broken record, his words played over and over in your head. “It never meant anything, Y/N. You know that. I never had feelings for you.”
Soon, soft tears turned into loud sobs. You wanted to be angry at him. You wanted to hate him, but you couldn’t. It was your fault for ever believing a guy like him could change. You were doomed to this heart-break the minute you started letting your guard down. Falling for a guy like Youngmin was pointless. All the time you spent together, all the memories you cherished most meant nothing to him. For months, he had been the centre of your world and now everything was crumbling around you.
Curling your body up even tighter you wished for all of this to go away. You wished you could forget it all. You wish you could go back to a normal, happy life. More than anything, you wished you had never met Lim Youngmin.
