actlly yes two of them date first! specifically klavier and khairul hehe. and then they talk abt apollo and realize both of them like him and wouldnt mind having a third. klavier (+ his brother, kristoph) and khairul are childhood friends and klavier's had a crush on khairul since forever now but for a while khairul's had feelings for kristoph until kristoph got arrested on suspicion for murder. the events in aa4 gave khairul a lot of time to think abt his life and more importantly, abt klavier

butttt i'll talk abt the idea here (utc bc it's really really really long help)
so agent lang is an interpol agent who flew to america (where ace attorney investigations took place) to investigate a smuggling ring case thats been going on for like a decade by that point. he was working alongside another interpol agent by the name of akbey hicks and prosecutor franziska von karma
my s/i is akbey hicks' husband ... well ex-husband, bc akbey dies in the 2nd chapter of the game, killed by a member of the smuggling ring by the name of cammy meele (bc honestly if he didnt die so quick i wouldve selfshipped with him LMAO no shame). cammy didnt wanna get caught so she killed him while he was investigating signs of smuggling in the plane they were both in
now this is where my idea comes in ... since agent lang and agent hicks were colleagues investigating the same case, i imagine agent lang would wanna break the news of his colleague's passing to my s/i himself. it probably happens after the events in aai (believe it or not the whole of aai takes place in like 3 days max LMFAO) and ofc my s/i is like heartbroken abt it. agent lang is sympathetic towards my s/i and is like if you need anything dont hesitate to ask for our help we'll look after you
my s/i (sorry i keep saying it like this i havent decided on a name LOL) works at this office as a clerk and basically his boss gives him like a few days off to mourn. i havent played aai2 yet but apparently it takes place a few days right after aai1 lmfao. i might change this once i start aai2 but for now im gonna say his break lasts until the end of aai2 and my s/i goes back to work for like a week or two, even tho hes still heartbroken. but during that break, he holds a funeral for his late husband and lang attends ofc and they talk a bit during it, mostly abt akbey
how my s/i and lang meet up again after the funeral is when my s/i decides to go on a vacation to zheng fa (lang's origin aka this game's version of china lmao) and the two run into each other there. my s/i's like ah man i shouldve hired a tour guide or something when lang shows up and is like hey it's you, how've you been? and they chat a bit and my s/i admits to being lost and lang's like how about i show you around im not on the clock right now ive got some free time
after some time has passed agent lang is in america for work and they meet, by pure chance once again. i thought of two scenarios for this "arc". i thought of lang giving my s/i maybe a belonging of akbey's that he kept safe in his office (maybe like a framed photo or smth) and lang tells my s/i that akbey truly loved him and my s/i thanks him and tries not to cry in front of lang but lang assures him he can cry all he wants and then he does
the other one is it's revealed that the office where my s/i works at is under suspicion related to the case agent lang is investigating and for a bit, my s/i is a suspect and ofc agent lang feels conflicted abt his alleged involvement but then hes proved to be innocent which gives lang some relief. suddenly my s/i gets kidnapped and lang drops absolutely everything to go and save my s/i. once he does, my s/i breaks down crying in lang's arms and wail abt how scared he was. lang doesnt tell him how lang was also scared for his life and he was terrified he was gonna lose him ... which is where those tiny sparks of romantic feelings make themselves apparent
after the incident, lang informs my s/i that unfortunately he has to go back to work but he'll send some people to protect my s/i and my s/i thanks him for everything and lang is like ... what is this im feeling? the question goes unanswered as they part ways
once the case is resolved tho, lang goes to see my s/i at his house and offers to take him out on an outing to apologize for all the trouble and trauma my s/i has had to endure. my s/i tells him it's fine but he doesn't refuse the offer. they chat abt the recent happenings and the case and ofc akbey. this is when both of them realize they like each other but ofc they dont tell each other
if anything, both feel guilty for their feelings; lang bc my s/i just lost his husband like a year or 2 ago and he feels like hes "stealing" him even tho he knows that feeling is irrational while for my s/i he feels it's wrong for him to move on so quickly. plus, lang feels like my s/i deserves someone who doesnt put themselves in danger so often as interpol agents do and my s/i is also unsure if he can handle the anxiety of having a partner with such a dangerous job again
in the end tho lang opens up to my s/i bc he feels like hes "lying" to my s/i if he keeps it buried inside of him and my s/i, even tho scared, reciprocates his feelings and then they start dating :) when lang's not working, he tries to stay in america with my s/i as long as possible to make up for lost time. being in a ldr is tough but they make it work hehe
bonus thought: my s/i tries to convince lang to let him become his secretary so they can travel all over the world together as interpol agents but lang shuts him down bc, once again, the job is dangerous and the last thing he wants is for my s/i to get hurt. lang also says my s/i isnt eligible anyway which my s/i cant argue with ...

attakaito by halyosy - the most wholesome song Ever and it's genuinely a huge comfort song for me. there have been times where i listened to it while going through a rough time and genuinely cried listening to it cuz i was moved and comforted by the lyrics and imagining kaito singing it to comfort me ... it's most effective in those times but i do like listening to it in general! it's just very uplifting and upbeat, it puts a smile on my face every time :]
phobos by wotaku - now for the complete opposite LMFAO. this song's lyrics are pretty grim and embody hopelessness and numbness (and the mv depicts kaito as a depressed man who resorts to murder to feel something as he loses his sanity). i just really love how this song sounds. i love the melody and again, during the tough times, i find myself finding solace in how i can relate to the lyrics instead. this is technically a kaito ver of a miku song but most ppl discovered the kaito ver first bc it's newer + has a fancy mv to accompany the song compared to the miku ver from like 6 years ago?

i dont think they had a sad moment in the past theyd like to fix tbh so i'll go with the future one. for safar, i think he very much fears that dominic might fall out of love one day and abandon him. sometimes the fear feels absolute and dominic has to comfort and reassure him. dominic has the same fear that safar might run away again but actlly disappear for good this time but his fear isnt as intense as safar's. basically these two got some #abandonmentissues to sort out LMFAO
