Dude I feel you on all of that. I understand that businesses need to do things to financially keep on track, but it upsets me when it makes people feel like they HAVE to spend money. We can't earn steel efficiently enough to get the few things we want for our mains. I just blew steel on my Conquerer yesterday and it left me with almost nothing and it felt gross. I love this game so much, but this is the little thing that just hurts me right now and kept me from getting the season pass for now.
Like that’s a huge problem why is a AAA game doing a F2P model? When I played Siege I usually get enough in-game currency to upgrade my weapons without any trouble.
Why give us the opportunities to earn things and then put us on such a short leash we have to play a little TOO much just to get what we want. I get spending real money in Overwatch. It’s a gamble to unlock your fav Reaper skin or that new D.Va highlight intro. There are absolutely no advantages to owning the rarer stuff. But here there’s often an unfair advantage.
I’m tired of buying games that say they give me 100% of the game for 100% of the price, only to find out that we start with 50% of the game, with 25% we have to unlock with experience (this I’m actually ok with) and the last 25% is so hard to earn we spend more money to get what we should’ve gotten through experience!
