I've been here! Luckily it was when I was too young to find it scary, because I would NEVER go on that thing now.
Not anymore. They ruined it.
Over on Bluesky...
Via Fiona Tribe: "Yes, Swiss scientist Fritz Zwicky coined the term 'dark matter' which is impressive, but he also coined the term 'spherical bastard' to describe people who are bastards no matter which way you look at them, and I think that should be celebrated more."

I got 60 out of 1000 😂
Based on the number of ratings each book has on Goodreads. And if you haven't read them, maybe you can use for a literature bucket list.
Anyone who says they’ve read all 1000 is a liar because one of them is a huge cookbook and no one is actively joy reading that.
with some of these it’s like “fuck, I did read that,” and with some it’s like “Oh fuck, I did read that.”
I got 99, but I counted a few that I had only mostly-read before deciding I didn’t like them and never finishing them.
I got 250, but my total is significantly buoyed by the fact that I’ve read almost all of Stephen King’s books AND almost every Shakespeare play.
I’m amused that Dan Brown’s other books are on this list but DaVinci Code is NOT, lolol.
322, thanks to a Shakespeare class, a Stephen King phase, a Dickens phase, and some dedicated reading years, but I counted some books that I started and threw down with great force. I read as much of them as I ever plan to. These lists are always pretty random, but there is quite a lot of Nicolas Sparks and early 21th century YA on here that simply passed me by and I'm okay with that.
I watched the Good Omens 3 trailer and I.

Of all the authors I have read over the course of 50+ years, Sir Terry was the most life changing and educating. My life and the lives of those I love are the brighter and more wonderful because of his work. Where's My Cow has become a required gift to new parents in our orbit, destined to become the most chewed and loved book in their collection. It was my sons favorite for the entirety of their childhood and I have been assured should I pass on before they have children that it will be read to them as well.
Thank you so much Sir Terry, the world was a far greater place for your having visited with us for a while.
10 years gone today
