We "love" a problematic queen. This is a trisha pastas apology video.
This is one of Gymshark's many ads. They have been promoting body positivity lately by showcasing a multitude of body types in their clothing!

A Confessional Poem
the speakers on macbooks are so loud.
i toss and turn at night as
my roommate watches gilmore girls, and she's proud.
it bothered me at first since we both have to wake up before sunrise.
but it started to drown out the trials and tribulations of the day and so forth.
the macbook blasting netflix,
the atypical white noise machine.
So calming and apparent,
the perfect thing to intervene,
with my mind.
One day she'll turn it off, and I won't hear about how Rory managed to mess up again.
It's a slice of life, and once Rory grows up
i have my own life to comprehend
i still love the game, plus i get to listen to keanu reeves talk to me so it's not all terrible :)
some confessional media i’ve enjoyed
This is from an manga/anime called Death Note. Essentially the main protagonists (a detective) reveals his identity to the Light (bad guy?). Throughout the story there are is a lot of of plot point that leads to the last scene in the story where Light finally has mental breakdown when he gets caught and confesses that he is the mass serial killer. This strikes me as confessional because he is literally confessing his crimes, but also because in this moment the viewer/reader sees Light in his purest form, he isn’t trying to fool anyone and isn’t his typically stoic self.
Annabel Lee used to freak me out, because I was like , “Is this man really admitting to necrophilia?” But then I came to my senses a took this as a confession of love, in an Edgar Poe Allen kind of way.
With the advent of social media, everything that used to be private became public: we “confess” our feelings, our most embarrassing moments, our purchasing habits, even sensitive personal information to huge online audiences. In this course, we will think about what contemporary digital media reveals--or seems to reveal--about the people who created it. Are our contemporary digital confessions so different from how artists and writers have depicted their own lives in the past? What exactly are we confessing about ourselves online? To help us answer these questions, we’ll turn to historical and contemporary literature and media, from the “Confessions” of a medieval saint to twenty-first-century comedy specials. Most importantly, we’ll take that media as inspiration for our own digital creations, beginning with weekly creative exercises (short audio and video recordings, photo collages, even selfies) that you’ll post on your own tumblr and that I’ll share here.
hi im sara
the media im most interested in trying out is podcasting even thought i hate how my voice sounds on recordings... i'm a little hesitant with videos because because i feel like i edit videos like a middle schooler that just discovered imovie.
the idea of confession to me is like when a detective gets someone to confess to a crime, very factual and not really done as an art form. Since I keep to myself I do not enjoy posting online or even creating a persona. I think it's not really important despite the age we're living in. I cant wait to delve further into authenticity the different ways confessions play into our lives and medias
