My Little Pony Tales was a big part of my childhood, and despite having none of the toys growing up, I still enjoyed watching the show every time I could catch it on the Disney channel.
When I became a teenager and discovered the magic of eBay, I found a woman in the UK selling two of the Tales ponies; it turns out she was selling her and her sister’s childhood collection, so I made a deal with her to buy the whole group before the rest went to auction. You can see where some of them were initialed by her and her sister, Z and K, and a few of them also came with their brushes.
I’m pretty sentimental, so it was really important to me to be able to keep this childhood herd together. They still have the braids that their former owner put in their hair, that I haven’t had the heart to remove yet.
