You ever realize you don’t really have hobbies anymore because you either turned them into jobs or otherwise stopped doing them? And the ones you do have just aren’t as interesting as they used to be? Starting to think I need to start running again, if only to get my ass out of my apartment…

What kinds of hobbies do people have anyway?

I think nowadays, dwelling on your past mistakes and thinking about what you could have done differently are the top hobbies of our generation. Running is much better, though. Go for that one.

Okay, so, final exams for the summer class I’m teaching are literally right around the corner. And yeah, I’ve got the typical exam prepped and ready to go. But…I don’t know, I started thinking that maybe I’d give them a break, and do something a little more…Non-traditional? I’m here in need of opinions- if you were a college student, taking a summer class on Geoffrey Chaucer, late medieval poet/author, most famously known for penning The Canterbury Tales, and you absolutely had to take an exam that covers the whole class…What would you want that exam to be?

I am like *the least* literally person you can meet. But maybe they could write a poem? it sounds to me that if they really cared about the class they might be able to create something with the style of the author? no?

During his last semester of College, Artie got an internship offer on a very prestigious tv show. Since it was very demanding, he quit school just months before graduation. He was expecting to get a job offer once his internship period was over, but it didn't happen. He's been working in tv -jumping from one tv show to another -ever since. He makes pretty good money and has been in some projects he's really loved, even if the tv was never his dream.

He writes a lot in his free time. He's got a handful of screenplays that could be solid movies, but he's done nothing to develop any of them.

Artie got married at 25 after getting an old acquaintance pregnant. They sadly lost the baby and got divorced five months after. He never even told his family (or most of his friends) that he got married.

Artie has a pretty active sexual life (he is openly bisexual) but hasn't had a relationship since the divorce.

NANCY & JONATHAN ABRAMS (Parents): They were always good, present parents. They became pretty overprotective after the accident, with his father driving him everywhere and his mom quitting her job to care for him.
