Absen listed in 2015 Forbes China Top 100 Potential Enterprises

Forbes has stringent requirements on financial indicators when evaluating listed Chinese companies with the most potential. The evaluation team set December 1st, 2014 as the deadline prior to which evaluated companies should be listed. Based on the enterprise's growth targets (revenue and net profit growth), profitability index (profitability), etc., evaluated companies are ranked with comprehensive details of the listing. In addition to considering the large amount of financial data, the selection team also conducts field visits to some of the outstanding candidate companies. Forbes List of Potential Businesses is released early every year, becoming Forbes’ first top-priority list for the year among its annual series of lists. It selects 100 listed high-growth enterprises and 100 non-listed high-growth enterprises, known as the "Growth Benchmark" for China's industrial and investment sphere for the year.

Absen Shenzhen Optoelectronic Co., Ltd., (Stock code: 300389) specializes in LED display and LED lighting business. The company not only ranked No. 1 among China’s export businesses in terms of export revenue for 6 consecutive years, but in December 2014, Absen’s sales orders exceeded RMB 1 billion. As per Absen’s performance forecast released in 2014, the company’s net profits attributable to shareholders of listed companies are expected to touch RMB 151 million to RMB 162 million in the year 2014, an increase of 32% – 42% YoY. Stepping up HR training, Absen ACA training in full swing

In order that the sales staffs can know the products better, can offer solutions to customers more promptly and precisely, can timely solve the basic malfunctioning problems of the displays, and can create the greatest value for the customers, from 5th to 8th June, 2014, Absen successfully organized two courses of ACA training for them on the 5th floor of the Company.

The ACA(Absen Certified Absener) training course is Absen’s internal certification engineering training program, with 24 students in one phase. At the training the 24 students were divided into 6 groups of 4 students each; each group was assigned an engineer for technical support. The students had to pass a theoretical and practical examination, and only those whose total score had reached 90 could be considered having passed and could obtain certification.

Severe demands did not scare people away, and instead stimulated everybody’s enthusiasm to participate. The two courses were soon fully enrolled, and those who did not enroll soon enough felt regretful, and could only join training courses to be held later on.

The content of the two training courses was very compact. The first day was mainly training about product theory knowledge, including the basic ideas about displays, introduction about products and their main accessories, rental products and project solutions, brand chain products and solutions, outdoor permanent products and solutions etc. In the morning of the second day of the training students had to participate hands-on----the troubleshooting of usual problems in display installation and calibration. On this the students showed a high level of enthusiasm, and everybody joining in hands-on to have their practical training.

The examination consisted of theory and practice, each taking up 60% and 40% of the total score respectively. The organizers of the ACA project treated the entire examination process seriously in terms of organization and arrangement. In the wake of this strict monitoring, of the total 48 students joining the two courses, 36 people passed the examination, with 15 students getting certification in the second phase, and 11 students getting certification in the 3rd phase.

The Absen ACA training program has increased the sales staffs’ knowledge about the products, and in particular has achieved notable result in practical operation skills. As for the usual malfunction problems in display installation and calibration, the sales staffs could smoothly solve them, and won unanimous acclaim from the students. This training course would continue to be organized later on.

[Another Acquisition] Absen acquires 60% stake in VISS Lighting — Placing greater impetus on leasing business

As per an announcement released on January 9th evening, Absen signed a "Share Purchase Agreement" with, Zhong Zaibo, Zhang Wenxia and VISS Lighting on January 9th, 2015. The company intends to use internal funds of RMB24 million to acquire a 60% stake in Shenzhen VISS Lighting Co., Ltd. (referred to as “VISS Lighting”), which was held by Zhong Zaibo and Zhang Wenxia. Absen purchased a 50% stake from Zhong Zaibo, and 10% stake from Zhang Wenxia. After the acquisition is completed, the company will hold 60% of VISS Lighting’s equity, and Zhong Zaibo will hold the balance 40% share in VISS Lighting, while Zhang Wenxia will no longer hold any shares in VISS Lighting. By virtue of shareholding, VISS Lighting will become Absen’s subsidiary. It is reported that VISS Lighting has strong advantages and competitiveness in stage leasing and creative display business. By acquiring its shares, Absen intends to improve product development capabilities and core competencies in these areas, so as to improve the company's product line, and better meet customer’s needs, thereby enhancing the company's overall competitiveness. As per Absen, they have industry-leading sales channels advantages in the field of full-color LED displays, while VISS Lighting has strong R & D and design capabilities in stage leasing and creative displays. Therefore through this acquisition, the company can give full play to VISS Lighting’s products and R & D strengths, while at the same time utilize Absen’s own sales channel advantages, to rapidly increase VISS Lighting’s sales volumes, and help enhance the company's market share and profitability. VISS Lighting is expected to touch an RMB40 million net profit target in 2015 and 2016. This will effectively enhance the company's return on investment and shareholder value, which is in line with the company's strategic development goals. The Meaning of Life Lies In Being Responsible (Deng Jiang Bo, Vice president director)

For me the meaning of being responsible has two aspects. The first one is to try one’s best to perform his duties well. The second one is in case the jobs are not completed well, one will accept the consequences without question. In society each of us has different responsibilities, and for me there are the following kinds: Personal responsibilities. Since we were born we have different roles to play, like being children, parents, husbands and wives etc. Collective responsibilities. As we grow up we all have joined one kind of groups or another, like companies, social organizations. We have to shoulder the duties and responsibilities bestowed on us by these groups. Civic responsibilities. All of us who have come to this world belong to a society. We cannot survive by ourselves alone independent of others. As such we should accept our civic responsibilities. Since we all have to have all kinds of responsibilities once we have come to this world, should our behavior be constrained then? As far as I can see, some are legal responsibilities, some are moral responsibilities, and some are neither legal nor moral responsibilities, but are those that solely depend on us automatically and spontaneously. Personally I think the first two kinds are the minimum ones that people should take up, and as for the last kind which is not bound by legal or moral considerations, I consider them the highest form responsibilities that man should aspire to have. The greater a person’s abilities are, the greater his related responsibilities are. Besides the legal and moral responsibilities, he should also take up even greater civic responsibilities. This fact can be seen from the many philanthropists and civic leaders: they use their outstanding abilities, use the skills they excel at, to create even more wealth, and also use such wealth to repay their society. I think this is what the meaning of life is. As Absen people, the core values we abide by and promote are “Honesty, gratitude and responsibleness.” And we define “responsibleness” as “What you do, and what you have not done, is why we have such an outcome. And to achieve such an outcome is not by complaining about others, or complaining about one’s own self, but by being positive and trying to make things better.” I think since we are promoting the attitude of being positive and taking initiative, when all things being equal, the success or failure in completing a task depends on one’s attitude and abilities. We simply abide by the principle of being responsible to the customers, being responsible to the staff members, and being responsible to the Company, and thereby take even more and even greater civic responsibilities.

Absen LED display boosts ASEAN Summit 2014

Synopsis: Absen (Stock Code: 300389) was selected as the supplier to provide high-quality display devices for the 2014 ASEAN Summit. The A5-based indoor rental display won unanimous praise from the customer for its high definition display quality, seamless mosaic and easy installation. The 6th ASEAN - UN Summit was held on November 12th, in Myanmar's capital Naypyidaw. Absen at Expo: Sino-Spanish brands collaborate to promote international cultural exchange

The "Sino-Spanish Brands Cooperation Meeting" was a grand affair hosted by the Shanghai Spain Center at the Spanish consulate in Shanghai, on August 5th, 2014.

The Spain Pavilion was one of the most popular pavilions at Expo 2010 Shanghai. It attracted more than 7 million visitors due to its key highlights, the “wicker façade”, the “Miguelin” (Xiaomi baobao in Chinese) 6.5 meters tall baby doll and activities centering on the passionate “flamenco” dance.

Four years later, several features of the Spain Pavilion will become a part of the soon to be upgraded "Shanghai Spain Center". According to the design plan, Shanghai Spain Center will be composed of 6 functional areas, including the National Culture Hall, flamenco performances, soccer experience, a Spanish restaurant, Spanish cuisine & wine exhibition center, as well as a business center. The aim is to let the visitors from across the world get a glimpse of authentic Spanish culture, and the Center is all set to have a stunning debut in October 2014. While selecting displays for the Center’s upgrade project, Absen (Stock code: 300389) stood out with its excellent display effect, easy operation and simple maintenance, and ultimately won the Spanish partner’s heart. Absen Optoelectronic's IPO approved

In the evening of July 14, Shenzhen Absen Optoelectronic Co Ltd unveiled its prospectus and plans the initial public offerings of 21.06 million shares, which accounts for no less than 25% of the company's total issued shares. It is to be listed on the SME Board of Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The online offering date is July 24, 2014.

This offering adopts the combination of placement to A-share strategic investors, book-building allotment to off-line enquiry subjects (hereinafter referred to as "off-line allotment") and online fund subscription of fixed pricing offering.
