In 1966 two young men raised Ukrainian flag on top of university in Kyiv as a protest against soviet totalitarian regime. Writing on the flag says: "Ukraine has not yet perished, it has not been killed yet", first half of the sentence is a reference to Ukrainian anthem. Due to supply shortage in USSR flag was made from two scarfs. KGB confiscated the flag, conducted secret mass inspections searching for protesters, detained both of them and later they were sent to the labor camps.

I'm having a mental breakdown.
I have just found out that one of my favourite Ukrainian comedians was killed by russians.
And in the very same breath — five or so fandom people, my friends included, reposting and promoting a russian artist on Instagram.
Ukrainian artists die every day. It's not really a joke, it is true. Ukrainian lives are cut short every single day just because they're Ukrainian.
And for all I know, one day I might be amongst them. It's a scary thought, one that I usually don't voice and chase away from myself as much as I can. But it's true. One day I, a Ukrainian artist, as mid and inexperienced as I may be, with all my dreams and hopes and ambitions, might cease to exist for the sole reason of me being Ukrainian. Some of us already have.
And the world will move on. No, not just move on — it will continue promoting russian narratives, russian artists, it will watch and praise russian sports, movies and content about russia and russians.
Because it's not political, is it? Because people would rather find a thousand reasons to blame Ukrainians than one reason to boycott russian content. The reason being the genocide of Ukrainians and the collective responsibility over said genocide.
I can't help but think, if I died from a russian attack during the Easter vacation, all those people who smile at me, reblog my art, respond to my comments, would they stop to think that the russians are at fault? From the smallest artist to the politician to the member of the russian army — the people who have built and supported the society where genocide has become an acceptable thing?
I don't think so.
I think it would, like many Ukrainian deaths, exist in a hypothetical vacuum.
Oh, how sad. What a tragedy.
Anyways, have you seen this amazing drawing of my blorbo made by this wonderful russian artist?
The unwritten rules for being a "good" Ukrainian:
▪️ Don’t complain about the war
▪️ Say thank you, constantly
▪️ Don’t compare your pain to others
▪️ Keep politics out of it
▪️ Don’t say anything bad about ruzzians
▪️ Keep your problems to yourself
▪️ Don’t push your culture too much
▪️ Don’t remind everyone who the aggressor is
▪️ Don’t ask for weapons
▪️ Don’t ask for help
▪️ Don’t get angry
▪️ Don’t demand justice
▪️ Don’t show your exhaustion
▪️ Don’t be afraid
▪️ Don’t cry
▪️ Don’t joke about the war
▪️ Don’t be “too emotional”
▪️ Don’t be “too loud”
▪️ Don’t be “too patriotic”
▪️ Don’t have trauma
▪️ Don’t talk about who you’ve lost
▪️ And preferably—don't exist too noticeably.
And you know what?
Even if we did all of this, you’d still say we were doing something wrong.
Even then, the amount of help wouldn’t be increased.
Because the problem was never about being "too much."
It makes me sick when I see Russians on Pinterest saving photos of Ukrainian traditional costumes, jewelry, and other cultural elements into boards called things like “Malorossiya Province,” “random folk stuff,” or “Ukrainians in Russia.”
Even modern photos with Ukrainian captions aren’t safe from being saved and relabeled in that same colonial, imperial language. And no matter how many times we speak up and ask them to leave our photos alone, they never listen.
So, the Paralympic Committee banned Ukrainian athletes’ parade uniforms with a map of Ukraine on them...
Olympic committees are really doing everything they can to make Ukraine look like a country without symbols — like a “neutral country” — instead of countries like Russia and Belarus, which should be in that role but are currently competing under their national symbols.
I want to say — then ban Ukrainian bodies altogether.
Ask how people become disabled in our country.
A Russian shell that leaves me without an arm — is that apolitical?
A fragment from Russian destruction that leaves me without an eye — is that outside politics?
Losing my leg to a Russian mine — is that just some natural disaster, like something blown in from Russia by the wind?
Masses of tortured bodies in territories occupied by Russia, which you won’t allow us to show together with the map of our country — is that “political” because it might make Russian Paralympians uncomfortable, since they were the same soldiers?
You are just as “for peace in the world” as those Russians who simply don’t finish the sentence out loud — “without Ukraine”.

Taking a long shot and posting this since I haven't seen anyone talk about it. Which is weird...
A Russian-developed game, "Ukrainian Warfare: Gostomel Heroes" is planned to release on Steam on the 24th of March. A "real-time strategy game" portraying the 2022 Russian invasion in Ukraine as heroic and "brilliant".
It is beyond sickening to make a game glorifying war crimes that are still happening today, despite that everyone seems to have forgotten about them. I urge everyone reading this to report the game on Steam as "Defamatory" or "Legal Violation" (Suggested reasons: Hate speech and discrimination against Ukrainians, fascist Russian propaganda, manipulation of historical facts), and at the very least reblog this post to reach more people
Disgusted but not surprised. Ruzzian propaganda machine never sleeps I guess😒😒😒
Now-now, hear me out
Ghoul x Reader BUT reader is courier 6. The schizo and on drugs kind(imagine ghoul just disappears after a bounty(buried in the ground for years) and reader looses their marbles a bit(especially after bombing of the Shady Sands). Then events of New Vegas)).
Considering episode 7 (spoilers ahead) the "canon" ending in the tv series is either Yes man ending, or courier 6 did not complete the quest till the end. Or courier delivered chip and it just failed.
So yeah I'm too depressed to write so here's an idea for y'all
Today russia launched a massive airstrike on Ukraine, seeking to leave people without electricity and heating before the approaching colder weather and the holidays.
Over 650 drones and 30 missiles were used.
Several people were killed, including a child born in 2021.
Three regions are in almost complete blackout, while the rest are on emergency outage schedules.
No Merry Christmas is possible when your neighbor is an evil genocidal empire.
I am a person with a big ass messenger bag and medicine, matches, needle and thread, and lots of other stuff like kitchen lighter inside of it.
A week ago at the hangout I used it to light the campfire to cook meat and potatoes, now I use it to light the gas cook stove because 4 cities of Ukraine has no light and water at the moment, after a massive drone(450) and missile(30) attack this night. My uni friends from dorms have only electrical stoves. Instead of making art, today will be spent in my flat with them boiling eggs and making other food that will not go bad a few days without a freezer.
Most of schools and kindergartens are now filled with volunteer's, mobile power stations and warm food for those who can't get it any other way. Russians cannot advance on the field, so they try to demoralize and kill people beyond the line of fire(12 people got injured by today's attack).
Stay strong, donate, fight, and don't let those fuckers to get the satisfaction from your pain.
!!ALIEN: EARTH EPISODE 8 MINOR SPOILERS!!
My face, when someone reminds me that ADHD and my other diagnoses do not make me "whimsical and fun", but impair my logical reasoning:
Anyway, Kirsh was such a dad in this moment, lol(and it did help me actually think about how I am really not good at controlling my impulses).
It really is fucking nuts to see world leaders send condolences over this and sports teams hold moments of silence like Kirk was some great leader and not a fucking nazi podcaster
HE WAS A NAZI!! PODCASTER!! WHO SPENT HIS TIME YELLING “DEBATE ME!!!” AT COLLEGE (SOMETHING HE NEVER ATTENDED BECAUSE HE BELIEVED THAT A BLACK WOMAN BENEFITING FROM AFFIRMATIVE ACTION WOULD TAKE HIS PLACE) STUDENTS AND SAYING JEWS AND BLACK PEOPLE WILL REPLACE WHITE CHRISTIANS AND HIS DAUGHTER AGE 10 SHOULD HAVE A CARRY A PREGNANCY TO TERM IF RAPED
Why the goddamn shit have Canadian PM Mark Carney and British PM Keir Starmer released statements bemoaning the death of American Nazi podcaster Charlie Kirk
!!Alien: Earth, episode 6 ending discussion!!
Am I being delusional, or does it look like Kirsh is tense/trying not to show anger in this shot? Like, if he saw Arthur getting facehugged, most likely he saw Isaac's body. He should know he is dead. So, could he actually be upset about it? He definitely has ulterior motives and a number one instigator, but also this is definitely not his usual "everything is ok" face. He looks disturbed, either he wanted this outcome or not. (Or maybe he is just praying/instigating Boy Kavalier's downfall at the moment. Like using loopholes in his programming to get his goal. Kind of like Demerzel from Foundation).
So, am I delulu, or do you see something too?
No no it's okay it's just the way multiple NATO jets were used to shoot down drones because they invaded NATO country meanwhile Ukraine is prevented from joining NATO and shoots down them every day on our own. It's actually okay that my life is worth less then people's on the other side of the border!
Yarova, Donetsk region. Look and don't you dare look away. This is the "great russian culture". This is the "mysterious russian soul". This is "russian peace". This is "russian liberation". This is how Russians "protect the russian-speaking population". It was done by "poor ordinary good russians"
To clarify what happened here.
Russians hit the line of pensioners who were there to receive their pensions. Ukrposhta post service arrived to bring these 60+ years old grandmas and grandpas their pensions. Arrived because regular post office no longer operates in nearfrontline villages like this.
24 dead, at least 19 injured.
Were russians targeting evil nazis in a queue of old people? But I thought Donbas people are basically russians anyway?
Funny enough, but under pretense of 'defending opressed russian speakers of Donbas' russia actually hurt them the most.
But yeah guys. Tell me how we brought it on ourselves and deserve.
Old grandma who wanted to get her hard-earned pension did not deserve to die from shelling.
Truly, I'll never understand a mysterious russian soul
!!ALIEN: EARTH EPISODE 6 TRAILER SPOILER!!
Holy shit, Kirsh with a gun in 4k??? I better get my lazy ass off the couch and start writing ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄
