Star leans over and tilts her head at the screen, beaming like a kid in the candy store. Her and Peter are so cute! It’s crazy thinking about how long it’s been since this picture was taken and how they’re still those kids inside. The good, hopeful ones who fell fast and hard. Normally their PDA made her cringe but there’s always fondness behind it.
She snickers. “ You know what? Yeah! I do that’s nasty this is a christian cafe ma’am. “ She jokes but the sight of each picture had her gushing out loud. “ Aw! Look at you guys! “ She bumps shoulders with her gently.
She pauses for a second, really letting those words fill her belly with warm that she releases into the atmosphere around like a cozy fire. “ I feel the same way. Like…I wanted to say it before but I chickened out. Didn’t want you to think I was weird. “ She admits meekly.
“ But hey we can take one now? “ Her eyebrows raise. “ We’ve got drinks and we’re at my favorite place in the world. “ She nuzzles into her side habitually and flips the camera on her phone to face them. “ Say beansssssss. “ She sings and a smile splits her face in two as she help up a peace sign.
Oh my God! There was slight embarrassment that took over when Star made the comment of this being a Christian cafe, hoping she wouldn’t become too nervous and accidentally click the folder that shouldn’t be viewed by anyone. Even if her cheeks were still burning, she relaxed and forgot all about it when she could feel the emotion that took over Star at the pictures.
“I could never find you weird. Never.” A hand automatically brushed her hair out of her face in a comforting manner, tucking it gently behind her ear. “I know it’s scary, to let people in, but I’m not going anywhere. I don’t want you to ever be afraid to express yourself around me, thinking it might negatively impact us in any way, because nothing in this world could ever do that.”
Honestly, if Star asked her for the world? She would give that to her, so the happiness that consumed her right there to take their first picture at a spot that meant something to the teen? It was close enough.
“Beeeaaannnnsssss!” She said, laughing in the end at how open and wide her own smile turned out to be in the picture, and how she hugged Star like her pride and joy. Wait until she went home to Peter to tell him all about the day she had with Star, and it was just beginning!
“Oh, and the rule is you can’t redo any of them! A second go wouldn’t be able to recapture the moment we just did. Airdrop it to me, okay? It’s going to be my background.”
