“How can you have so much energy? And how are not tired” she asked looking at the girl.

Unlike Jamie, Jieun was dead as she was extremely tired. She could have slept at a reasonable time but she was distracted by her games on her laptop and wanted to beat her own high score.

Usually she would be cheerful but today that Jieun is dead.

Lesson learned: sleep at a reasonable time, or else u become a certain bean.

“Mmmmmmm, i can taste fruit punch and ice cream when i think of summer” she said with her eyes closed with bliss.

Jieun was walking with her cousin after school and out of the blue their conversation topic was about ‘summer.’ She was both excited and dreadful about the idea.

She was excited about not having to go to math, and worrying about assignments and exams. But the downside is being home with her parents nagging her about ‘grades’ and her ‘future’ which is a headache.

“Soohyukiee~ we have to hang out during the summer ok?! You can get rid of me!.”

It was no wonder that Haneun had never seen the girl around. Not only was she with the art department but she studied animation. Haneun still did some art but it was mainly traditional draws that she did. Animation was something that she had never came in touch with before.

“Hm…” Haneun nodded. “I do dance. I do ballet but I’m studying music theory and composition as well.”

Now that they were calmly talking, Haneun thought that the girl was not as bad as she originally thought.

“Americano please.”

“Two Americano please” she told the chasier of the cafe.

She looked at the girl as they waited for their drinks and thought, ‘hey, we could be friends’ and turned towards the girl.

“Its cool how you study dance, music theory, and composition.”

She remembers how she could have been in the same department with her as well if she didnt quit the flute there is a possibility that Haneun and she could have been in the same classes. As she might have taken composition as well. Perhaps, they could have been friends

“Wow, I almost took music theory and composition as well. Not dance, these short legs were not ment for dancing.”

°☆.。.:* — IT’S odd, their height difference. junhwan wouldn’t had ever thought that’d they’d be like this today, that they’re full foot of a difference in height, but junhwan’s growth spurt during middle school was a major part of his childhood and junhwan had mountains of apologies towards jieun over the fact that he couldn’t be height buddies anymore.

( he still thinks she still hasn’t forgiven him for growing ‘til this day. )

“here, jieun-ah,” junhwan mumbles around his mouthful of chips before setting the piles of food aside, picking up the stray basketball that was left on the sidelines as he continued to make his way towards the other girl.

“you want to shoot the ball?” he questions with a beaming smile, dribbling the ball a few times as he approaches her before bending forward slightly, displaying his back. “hop on my back. i’ll give you a piggy ride until you can reach.”

Without questioning him she jumped on his back. Since both have been best friends ever since they were the same height she’s comfortable with him.

“Just don’t drop me, I dont wanna deal with another embarrassment” remembering a minute ago when she tried to make a basket. “I trust u Junnie.”

As she hopped on his back, she squeaked a bit overwhelmed due to the difference of height. Keeping her balance she held the ball.

“Okay, im good” she said signaling him to walk towards the basket.

Reaching out, she threw the ball towards the basket and it went through.

“IT WENT IN!”

♫|| Jaehyun’s lips would tug up into a smirk upon hearing the other’s complaint. It was hard to imagine Jieun has a highschool student, if he were being completely honest with himself, but then again she had a different and innocent aura that positively counteracted all the others — even himself.

So it was no surprise that she managed to soften him up a bit, despite their contrasting personalities. It was good for him to help Jieun worry about school, as opposed to only focusing on his own stress.

“ Will ya quit pouting ? ”

He’d let out a snort, giving the girl a small shove towards her math room’s door.

“ You’ve only got two options here, Jieun-ah. Go to class or go to study hall to finish up all the work you still haven’t finished. Which is the lesser of two evils here ? ”

To Jaehyun, he probably would have picked class, since there was no way in hell he’d be able to focus long enough to get anything done in study hall. But for Jieun… Well, he’ll let her decide that for herself.

She was standing there debating on her options, either going to class and probably fall asleep until the teacher scolds her or go to study hall and maybe actually get some work done. Even though math is her nap time she needs to finish a couple of problems for class.

“I think i’ll go to study hall with u, Im gonna end up sleeping during class and I need to finish some homework problems.”

Her logic is that since she’ll be with Jaehyun that she’ll be able to actually concentrate on her work instead of crying about the first problem and them giving up in the span of three minutes.

“But since i’m going to study hall with u Im gonna need u to make sure im concentrating on my math assignments.”
