My name's Becca, I'm 18 and originally from PA, soon to be from Rousillon, France where I will be working on a biodynamic farm. My passion is the environment and organic farming. Blackout poetry is a pretty new love of mine, and I'm now working on a project to fill an entire book with them. So that and my travel photography will make up most of my blog from here-on-out, but I sometimes reblog stuff that interests me. I'm actually going as part of my gap year that I decided to take before going to college. I'm going as a member of WWOOF, (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms,) which allows me to live and volunteer at various farms around the world in exchange for food and accommodations. It's a really cool organization if you like organic farming!!  I'm staying with a family on this really neat little farm in the Pyrenees.  I chose France because I'd taken four years of French in high school, and I wanted to put into practice what I've learned.  But I'm also going to be travelling in Ireland, Germany, and Costa Rica WWOOFing and visiting family until May.

You're studying abroad in Sweden right? How is that? What are you doing/why did you choose Sweden?  That sounds amazing, I hope you're trip is going well!

I've been incredibly busy the last few days packing, getting ready, doing all the paperwork/documentation stuffs, and running back and forth to town to get final installments...

I’m a mom. And I’m a mom of three children. And to have innocent little twelve-year-old girls be forced to have a government injection through an executive order is just flat out wrong. That should never be done. It’s a violation of a liberty interest.

That’s really beautiful, Michele. Innocent little 12-year-old girls shouldn’t be forced to have a “government injection” against their will, but they should be forced to carry a pregnancy to term in an abusive or dangerous situation. I’m happy to have my liberty infringed upon if it means I won’t get cancer and genital warts. If you’re so concerned about my medical freedom, stay the hell away from my right to my own uterus.

I just thought I'd drop by and say that I think your blackout poetry is some of the most creative and beautifully done I've yet seen. I love that you make not only the words into works of art, but also the page. Keep it up! :)
