Just got done protesting at the No Kings protest. It was a lot of fun. I get bombarded with threats and hate online from far right republicans it makes me feel alone.
But today I saw thousands of like-minded individuals right down the street from home.
It was refreshing, totally peaceful, and it reminded me of the Furry episode of ATHF.
Grand fun!
I made Chicken Parmesan last night

Man, how longs it been since his dad died? And he's experiencing symptoms of pancreatic cancer? Yeah maybe 5 years was too long of a prediction.
But damn. Another point for me being a wonderful doctor.

and we went to the movies together but then shirleys boyfriend got jealous and called the cops on me but they never came and then the elevator in the movie theater took me to my room where i made popcorn for shirley.

I saw my 90 year old friend again today. Yesterday he told me the quote above and it stuck with me. We had a wonderful discussion. I told him about the book I'm reading because he is always interested. I told him about Stoicism and the Art of Happiness and how the author does a wonderful job relating how Stoicism has stayed alive through the years in what we now call CBT.
Much to my surprise, he was unfamiliar with the term Stoic. So I got to explain to him what the concept of Eudaimonia was. Stoicism and the Art of Happiness tells you in the Notes on Terminology and Citation that the book will explain some of the concepts to you multiple times to help with your retention of knowledge. So in the preface (notes) it explains the concept of Eudaimonia, explaining it as Happiness and Good spirit. It proceeds to mention it again throughout the preface about 2 more times and each time it reminds you that its the philosophy of Happiness. Then it explains it a few more times in the first chapter and by the 2nd chapter it is now just stating it as "eudaimonia" and today I proved this authors writing theory is successful by describing to my best friend what eudaimonia is!
I legitimately think I got Asmongold banned
I reported him for his statements about murdering children immediately after I found out about it and 2h ago he was banned.
I said he needed to be detained in my report to twitch and that he has gone too far and he's inciting political violence. I used a good portion of the characters available they give you for the report.
Man, I hope its permanent this time.
Unfortunately, he's probably going to take to Twitter and start talking about how he didn't do anything wrong, how this is attacking his first amendment, and how he's making Twitch so much money they'd sink without him. And they'll probably unban him in a day or two and within the week after his successful appeal he'll be talking about how non-white races are inferior live from a cockroach infested house contaminated with third hand smoke and a living biohazard of a residence.
I honestly believe he should be arrested and face criminal charges for this level of political violence incitement.
I've already seen his friends say that banning him for this was a violation of his First Amendment in what I thought was a completely mind befuddling tweet. These MAGA think the First Amendment protects them and only them to say everything they want but if a democrat says something, all of the sudden it's hate speech. I don't understand this hypocrisy and it is incredibly dangerous for a thriving community to tolerate.
Calling for the death of innocent children is not free speech. That is hate speech. He is saying Mexican people are inferior and deserve to be sentenced to death for crossing the border, which is all symbolic of hatred and racism. That is North Korean level of dictatorship.
Whenever you call for the death of somebody, your first amendment right no longer protects you. This isn't the first time Asmongold has made statements like this. He continually breaks the law but since he lives in the land of the KKK, he largely gets away with it.
It's almost like once you pass a certain tax threshold you become completely immune to the law.

The first time I've said "God damn it" in about 3 years just happened
I consider it my family curse. Anytime something bad goes on my Dad, my Grandpa, and legend-has-it Great Grand Dad would utter "god d it" I dont like saying it anymore because after I read the bible I decided I was going to break the curse God was giving us by using his name in vain and say "God Bless It" three times if I cursed God's name.
I rarely say it anymore but anytime I used to drop something, burn something, do something foolish, something pisses me off, thats what i'd say.
Well I saw Billie Eilish is getting into film and I said it for the first time in years.
Why do musicians want to ruin film? Who was the last good musician that was an actor because i cant recall any.

My state is currently competing for worlds worst air quality & some of my neighbors have their garage doors slightly ajar
I see it and I think to myself "fools, why not just open a window and let more of that cancerous air inside?" but it's their life to worry about, not mine. I just don't understand why they would do that when it's so smoky out.
If they have to get to their car, their car is now exposed to all the smoke. It just seems incredibly not worth the risk.
I was glad to hear my mothers fitness trainer was super conscious of the dangers of the smoke. It's deceiving people right now because it currently looks less smoky than yesterday but the air quality is still as bad as it was yesterday.
I had to warn our lunch party today not to stay outside for too long.
The hostess of Lunch today said to me as I arrived:
My mother and I were the first to arrive. We brought tortillas and bread. I wear bandanas wrapped around my head like a hair band to keep my hair out of my face and so that I can also wipe the sweat off my brow should I get sweaty. It's blue.
I walked in and she immediately cocked her head to the side and gave her arms a little flap and said to me: "oh so are we wearing our colours today? should I go get mine?" she said it in a gangster-ish tone. I told her it's just a bandana with a big smile on my face.
It was kind of adorable.

That man is so funny! So is his wife. I made a statement that I was interested in getting back into golf. He said I'd be a great golfing partner. That's when his wife chimed in "robin you can also find yourself a cute woman golfing caddy to drive you around." It was really cute. The table laughed and she just went into great detail about the potential golfing caddy.
She's a riot. At one point she was like: "The other day I was sitting thinking to myself about everything I did with my life and I never got caught."
Chuch.
There's nothing like finding a good book you can't put down.
the Stoicism book I picked up is wonderful, super excited to continue reading it. I may have chanced myself upon picking up 3 books that'll be impossible to put down with my most recent trip to the book store.
I got Take Me to Your Leader by NDGT which you all know he's my favourite author alive because he explains complex science in the simplest way possible. Then I also picked up a book called "KING" which is about Martin Luther King Jr. and I know for a fact I am going to absorb that book like a sponge.
When I come across books I want to remember what I do is I grab a black ink pen and underline any sentences that strike me as fascinating. There are tons of marked history books, science books, and even plays throughout my library.
Sometimes when I don't want to read the whole book again, I'll just open it up and flip through a few chapters and read what I underlined the first time.
My copy of the Iliad is heavily underlined. I was in Poetry during College and on the side I was reading through the Iliad and I would underline sentences that struck my fancy then do what my teacher taught me at the beginning of the class.
That was to reconstruct other peoples sentences into your own words by copying them and changing a few pieces of work. Mainstream artists often do this to my work, coincidentally. But anyway, my final project that course was an epic telling of a battle between Roman soldiers using my own imagination + a few lines stolen from the Iliad describing a sword cutting through someones belly.
I'm highly thinking that I will be underlining my Martin Luther King Jr. book often.
