The rabbit hole scene of Alice in Wonderland (1951), much like the rest of the film, looks amazing in the 4k release. The shifting colors on the background and Alice herself look closer to how they did in the VHS release.
*Applauds.*
This is a fun music video I found almost 19 years ago (wow, that long!). It's very well edited and bouncy. I especially like the bit where Alice suddenly plunges down as the lyric says "Goodbye."
Anyways I started drawing...
The 1951 âAlice in Wonderlandâ Animated Movie was basically my first âfavoriteâ Movie, the first movie I remember loving enough to watch it over and over again. And rewatching it now is a little funny, because it does raise a lot of positive nostalgic memories but then thereâs also the whole sequence with the flowers⌠Which is initially so whimsical and friendly and beautifulâŚ
But then just as Alice has really started to enjoy herself, it becomes clear that the Flowers were operating under the misconception that she was One of Them, they were only being so friendly because they assumed Alice was also a Flower and now theyâre noticing all the ways sheâs Not Good as a Flower and start cruelly judging and criticizing her by those standards.Â
And when Alice tries to explain herself, that just makes everything worse, and now almost all of these Flowers see her as something Ugly and Bad and Wrong and turn on her. All of those flowers who were pleasantly singing and chatting up with her when they assumed she was Like Them immediately turned to bullies and then enemies as soon as they realized that sheâs something Different.
And Iâm just kinda like âOhâŚ................. thatâs literally my Main Form of Anxiety for my Entire Life. Thatâs literally All Of It."
And Iâm legitimately not sure how much of it is simply because the affect and imprint this movie had on me since such a young age, and how much this Growing-Up-Autistic-Anxiety was already fully-formed in my brain when I was four years old and I just loved âAlice in Wonderlandâ so much because it articulated in the best way my little preschool ass had seen at the time.Â
This post articulates why the character of Alice resonates with a lot of autistic people. She finds herself surrounded by people who condescend to her and treat her rudely because she doesnât fit in with them.
Alice In Wonderland (1999).
Kathryn Beaumont is my favorite actress to ever portray Alice, but Tina Majorino is a close second. She is very endearing.
I'd rank Fiona Fullerton second, but no arguments if Tina Majorino is your second pick. I like her a lot, too!

Alice in Wonderland ACT/CUT Premium Sega Figure
I got a new Alice figure! This one is from the same company behind the Alice with Dinah figure I posted about three years ago. This new figure recreates Alice's encounter with the talking Doorknob.
Alice's pose is cute, what with her displaying a sense of curiosity upon meeting the Doorknob.
The Doorknob is very well-sculpted. Very pleased with this.
A view under the Alice figure. As you can see, she comes complete with the knee-length bloomers. The orange mass attached to the bottom of her left foot was like done to make her more stable and attach to the base.
Close-up view of Alice's expression. Again, a very cute pose.
A comparison between the two Sega Alice prize figures. As you can see, the Alice with Doorknob figure is noticeably smaller, which might have been for practical reasons. I do still prefer the older one with Dinah, as I love her intimate pose and the volume of her dress as she seemingly drifts about in the air (maybe a reference to the rabbit hole scene?). That being said, I am very satisfied with the new figure. The composition and pose are both excellent, as are the sculpting.
Wow! This Youtuber really created both an amazing video and a fantastic song! What if Alice's dark side came to life and tried to take over Wonderland? You'll see how it all goes down here!

Momo Ayase like Alice Dandadan x Alice in Wonderland
I love Dandadan, so this is really cool to see!
Upon rewatch, Alice in Wonderland is actually better than I thought,,, originally I thought it was a very boring movie, but as time went on I grew more and more attached to Alice herself and, by extension, her story. So, here's a few sketches of cute little Alice!
I don't draw children very often so I hope she came off as childish enough? I assume she's around 10-12 during the movie but I'm not sure
She looks so adorable in your art style! Alice is certainly the girl of all time.
This is great art! Well done!
Poster commission for @fangirlingpuggle
Commissions are open!
This is cool!
Alice is many things, but I must say, she can be so stinkin' cute at times...

I love Alice's sly grin here.
