Aegyl Chevalier "M'Yahri Tia" A miqo'te who hails from Gridania, but born from Sharlayan. He was hidden in a keep for most of his life until the Calamity occurred. Now he travels with his companion to learn more about the world and even where his true birth home is. **PLEASE NOTE** I am currently reading as much as I can for FFXIV, as well as playing the game.

I had it in Aegyl’s backstory that he was growing up in a keep hidden off on the edge of Gridania’s forest built into a cliff side. Said keep was full of Keepers of the Moon and him being the only Seeker there.

It took a long time for him to really adjust to that setting when he was young. I always imagined Keepers to be very tribal?? Really styled around native american. A lot of their clothing based around the colors of the moon, forest, and animals that they hunt. Aegyl really sticks out like a sore thumb considering he’s all sun colored.

Of course, the moment the arrow hit the tree nearby with a rather loud thump did Azee realize she wasn’t alone out here, also didn’t help the thump of the arrow made her jump a little.

She quickly pulled out Gae Bolg, gripping the spear and looking around carefully, damn this mist to the seventh hell! When was the sun going to be up more to make all this go away?! 

"Who’s there?!" Stupid thing to shout, but eh if things came to it she could just jump into the trees and find them herself.

"Might as well come out, before I come up there and find you."

"Ah, so there is a voice behind the figure shrouded in mist. How interesting." Aegyl stood from where he had been hidden, slowly making his way forward. He her the clutch of a weapon and knew it surely must have been another adventurer.

"Easy now, I mean no harm. I had simply assumed to be a monster roaming the forests." He shrugged lightly and finally saw the full figure of the woman. So a lancer was it.

He bowed lightly.

"My deepest apologies for aiming my arrow at you."

This damned mist…..

It was always when she decided to roam the Twelveswood that it decided to go ‘Hey let’s be all misty and make the Dragoon lose her way!’. She sighed quietly, sure she almost knew the woods like the back of her hand, but since the Calamity she wasn’t sure she could even make that claim anymore.

Letting another quiet sigh escape her lips, she looked around. From what she could see, the wood was quiet, that peaceful kind of quiet where the beasts were tucked away in their nests not having bothered to come out to bother fledgling adventurers.

"At least there’s nobody screaming about a pack of Mites running by…." Not yet anyway.

Aegyl had heard something again in the distance. He rolled his eyes lightly. Why had he not yet had a Grimoire and why had he and his allies not traveled to Limsa Lominsa so he could study to become an Arcanist? He could only shake his head. Pulling his bow from his backside as well as an arrow in hand, he crouched down lightly behind a good number of bushes.

In the distance he could make out a figure. Eyelids had lowered as he pulled back the string of the bow. The shadowy figure became more apparent.

"Steady..." A release of a small breath and out went the arrow flying towards the figure.

The Miqo'te had found himself distanced from his companions as of late. He had mentioned he needed to check back to a few things in Gridania again. He would take the airship back as soon as he could to Ul'dah to rendezvous. For now, he was in the thicket of mist and forest alike of the Central Shroud.

He rather did like the mist within the woods. He concealed a great many hidden secrets as well as monsters. Aegyl's ears pushed back as he heard twigs snapping in the distance. Ah, of course he wouldn't be alone.

Turning his attention the sound, slowly he made his way in the direction, careful to conceal his own sounds and footsteps. Eyes squinted lightly to make out a figure in the distance.

Perhaps Aedida? No...I had spoken to her to meet within Ul'dah. Surely she would not have trekked all the way back here to pick me up.
