Fender Taps Steve Lacy For Signature Guitar

If you’re a fan of the genre-defying musician Steve Lacy, you might have caught a glimpse of what he has been cooking up with Fender, his new signature strat. Making cameos in the music video for “Sunshine” featuring Foushee and most recently in his “Bad Habits” performance on the Grammys and Saturday Night Live, the Steve Lacy People Pleaser Stratocaster has been hiding in plain sight and has finally debuted for fans to pick up. With a resume starting from his teenage years and early Grammy win with the Internet to his work with Solange, Kendrick Lamar, Vampire Weekend, and his solo work, including his recent Grammy-winning album Gemini Rights, we are glad to see him add having a signature guitar. Jean Dawson Pushes His Ambition To New Levels On ‘”XCAPE”, PT. 1’

It’s always a good day when there’s new shit from Jean Dawson. The ludicrously prolific singer-songwriter-producer’s work gets tighter with each release. His latest, “XCAPE”, PT. 1 JEAN DAWSON AS “PHOENIX,” the first in a planned trilogy, traces out a character study of “Phoenix.” Dawson’s alter-ego draws on his own experiences, and like the best conceptual art is intensely personal and unlike anything else. Jean peppers the two tracks with references to the music of his youth, casting off lines about DJ Screw, Three 6 Mafia, and Bad Religion above guitar and bass lines that would turn Robert Smith’s head. The post-punk drive is a good match for Dawson’s sonic ambitions, tying together some of his most expansive production in a way that feels both organic and fitting for the story of a young man trying to write his way through a world where he exists more as a prism than person. Understanding The Recent Attack On Democracy And Its Implications!

The recent expulsion of two black Democratic Representatives, Justin Jones and Justin J Pearson, from the Tennessee House of Representatives has once again highlighted the deeply entrenched racial biases that continue to plague American politics.

The two lawmakers had been vocal supporters of anti-gun protests following a mass shooting in a Nashville elementary school. However, their actions were met with hostility and they were subsequently expelled from the House of Representatives. Meanwhile, Gloria Johnson, a white colleague who had also supported the protests, was spared. The three Representatives are now known as the Tennessee Three. Today’s Hip Hop Scene Is Boring

We Need More Eccentric Artists Embracing The Fringe And Breaking Free From Conformity! Hip hop, as a genre, has always been known for its innovation and boundary-pushing nature. From its origins in the streets of New York City to its global dominance today, hip hop has continuously evolved and adapted, breaking free from the norm and challenging the status quo. And at the heart of this evolution are the eccentric artists who dare to be different, pushing the fringe boundaries and refusing to conform to mainstream trends.

I remember as a kid seeing Andre 3000 on TV for the first time, I couldn’t figure out if dude was Hip Hop or what he wore for the video was just part of the costume, the entire aesthetic was outside of the norm to what I was used to seeing, but nonetheless, I was excited to find out more. Fast forward to some years later, Lil Uzzi Vert blows up the scene, and once again I couldn’t figure out what “box” to put him in because he came in with something totally different.
