Hi yes I was reading one of your translated chapters vol 11 chapter 56 page 10 to be exact and I noticed the spelling was off a little on mangakakalot can u fix it ?

I won't be redoing any of my previous chapters. While I'm very conscious about certain ones due to poor grammar, cleaning, typesetting, etc., even if I update the chapter on Mangadex, sites that pull from there only post new chapters and don't edit ones you change.

I also don't have access to any of the chapter files from Ch.53~55, as I deleted them. I'm not proud of them but I don't want to have to redo the entire chapter just for one or two pages.

I'm aware of the mistakes I've made and will try to make sure I don't make them again.

➤ [ Ghost Hotel’s Cafe ]

Thank you all for your patience! The Ghost Hotel’s Cafe Picture Book has actually been in the works for a while now. We were so busy getting DMLD out that we had to put this on the back burner for a while, but now it’s finally out!

The GHOST HOTEL’S CAFE was a limited-time event where you could go and eat foods that were Hanako-related at a real life cafe! Everything was themed with artwork and characters from this comic. In fact, the comic was originally released on Aida-Iro’s Twitter, but was purchasable physically with the special edition of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Vol.11. The physical version also came with a few bonus pages and extras, which are all included here.

Note: The comic at the end is read left to right, contrary to normal manga fashion.

As some of you may have heard, the main translator for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun retired recently. In light of that news, we as RoF Scans have decided to take up the baton and continue scanlating the series from here on out. However, Caim is working with us and helping with proofreading and quality checks - so not to worry, he’s still active!

Currently, we’re working hard on the newly released Chapter 63 and plan to complete it by March. We hope to keep up the quality of the scanlated Hanako-kun chapters so far~ Please look forward to it!

I was thinking of trying to translate new chapters after you upload the last chapters you're gonna translate (if you're still going to post them, that is), because the main translators that I know of are now both gone. do you think that's okay or would that be disrespectful?

Hi! As I said, I won't be posting any translations for Chapters 61, 62 or 63. If I remember correctly, there is a small group of people(?) who are currently translating the newest chapters. Still, I think it's okay for you to do what you'd like! I have no connection to the series in any way anymore so there's no need to feel inclined to ask me.

Retirement Notice

I'm sorry for the sudden announcement, but I will be ceasing translations.

This post will be lengthy and rather blunt.

I've been translating Hanako-kun for nearly a year now, starting with the After-School Boy Hanako-kun chapters at the time. I've grown a lot with my typesetting, cleaning, redrawing and even my English. It began as a passion project. My love for the series remains, so please don't think I'm stopping because I happen to dislike it or something.

I've spent hundereds of dollars on the series in hopes to support the official release. If you've seen my Hanako "shrine", you'll now I have all of the volumes, preorder bonuses, charms, card sets, etc. Not to mention the giveaways I've done, which I'm spending over $140 on the products themselves and an additional ~$100 for shipping to the winners. Needless to say, it's been very costly.

For people who have a full-time job, I know that a few hundered dollars over a period of months isn't a big deal, but I'm a part-time worker and full-time student. I take half of my paycheck every month and put it in my bank account to save for moving, clothes, food and other necessities. Unfortunately, my family isn't well-off and I live with my brother and single, working mother. This means that I also have to work hard in order to live off of what little we have. Of course, my job helps me and my family live normally but to be honest, it's really inconvenient to continue translations.

Each chapter takes me about 16 hours in total to finish. In the end, per chapter I tend to get around $25~$35 via Kofi and other donation services. If I were to metaphorically spend this 16 hours that I spend on the chapters working, I'd get around five times as much money as I do right now. I know this sounds horribly greedy of me, but my family needs to move prefectures soon, I'm getting my drivers license and car, etc. Everything is extremely expensive right now in my life and working to save up as much as I can to help my family is my top priority.

This isn't including the mental stress I deal with. People asking me when the chapters are coming out, other people translating the newest chapters much faster than I ever could, etc. I've spent a good amount of my time in the past year calling off work or telling my friends I'm too busy to hang out with them so I could work on the chapters. Even then, it still isn't enough time and physically I've been on the verge of fainting several times due to lack of sleep and proper nutrition. I understand this is my own fault, however.

I know a lot of people may assume that during my long hiatus during the Winter I was most likely slacking off and relaxing, but I was in and out of the my hospital's inpatient. I didn't want to reference it directly, as I know some people may take it as an excuse for my slowness. But in the end, I haven't actually had a break from translations. After getting home from school, I either get ready for work or do translation/cleaning/redrawing on whatever chapter I'm currently on. It's extremely mentally taxing for me.

Thank you so much for the continued support. To those who supported me financially and to those who didn't, I'm extremely grateful all the same. I couldn't have made it this far without the kind words people tell me.

As I mentioned, I'll be finishing up Chapters 61, 62 and 63 (when it's released) as well as answering asks and questions people have as per usual. I'll also be shipping out the giveaway winners' prizes too— I'm sorry for the delay with all of it. Once I'm done with the chapters and everything is posted, I'll be leaving this blog open but won't be checking it nearly as much as I do now. If you'd like to commission me for any Japanese to English (or vice versa) translations, please consider doing so.

Nene is okay, Kou is really good, Hanako's meh at best, Aoi is super cute, Yako is kinda love/hate for me, and the mokke are adorable! I'll be posting a long ask soon detailing my thoughts on Hanako's voiceactor, so please look forward to it!

Heya! Chapter 63 isn't out yet. It comes out on the 18th of this month, and I'll finish my translation for it around the 29th or so. The manga is still ongoing so no worries!

Hello! This is the first time I'll be addressing this on my blog, though I've mentioned it various times in Hanako-kun group chats and the like.

My translations are in no way meant for those who consume or support pedophilic content or incestuous ships, related to Hanako-kun or not.

I've tried my best to keep this blog clean from any mentions of all of that stuff as a lot of the fanbase is underage, but I feel like it needs to be said at this point.

I'm unable to control who follows me and what they consume media-wise, but please know that if you like anything like that, I have no qualms about you unfollowing/blocking me. In fact, I'd prefer that, considering I'm underage myself.
