i'm cranky as per usual and i don't wanna leave strings of angry tiktok comments cuz that's not my place so i'm plopping this here:

i'm getting really tired of some of this community (mostly outside of tumblr) CONSTANTLY shitting on the season 4 art style—especially when targeting the animators (outsourced or not). the constant comparisons to seasons 1-3's style to this one PURPOSELY using the bad caps from e15?? if you prefer the old style, great! if you prefer this one, great! just because you like one better than the other, that does NOT mean you should go out of your way to attack the other. i get it, it was a weird adjustment at first, but both of them have their own quirks, and even if you don't like a certain one, it's not hard to be respectful.

i understand the jokes about episode 15 were funny, i was making them too! there is no harm in lighthearted jokes about a couple of frames! but that's NOT an excuse to slam OUTSOURCED AND the ACTUAL animators who helped bring us this show faster and to the best of their ability with such a short period of time—and it's certainly not an excuse to shit on the art style change meant to match furudate's current style. not to mention, there are clear reasons as to why the episodes were outsourced. this episode looked great (16), so the continued collective hot dump on s4's style seems unwarranted at this point!

we need to be more mindful of the many people who've worked their asses off to get this show out to us, and even though/if they don't see it, it's just not a good look :). everyone has their likes/dislikes and are of course entitled to it, but constantly putting down people who shed a considerable amount of time and effort into making US happy? (and making a living when animators in japan dont typically make a whole lot.) it's immature and disrespectful to them, and also disrespectful to the person who brought us this story and these characters in the first place ✌︎('ω')✌︎
