Ostara Star / Maria Sinayskaya / 30 Units
Hellooooo there guys. I know I haven’t been posting a lot lately, but honestly I haven’t had too much time make origami pieces. Not only that I don’t typically use Tumblr as much as I used to. But now I typically use other sites now like Flickr and Instagram. Sooo if you want to see more of my current its probably best to go to my sites.
Anyways, Maria Sinayskaya was very kind enough to share her diagrams with me, so with that I was pretty excited about it. The paper I used was labeled as “gift wrapping paper” but now that I see it it’s probably Hanji (which makes sense bc i got it from a korean gift shop). If not it was definitely some sort of tissue paper. I used water colors on this paper and surprisingly didn’t rip. But I don’t think I’d recommend this for kusudamas in general just because its not as crisp as regular paper and cutting it isn’t as clean as i wanted to be. But maybe ill try experimenting more with it since I really did enjoy the look of this piece.
