Hello, I am Alaa from Gaza. For more than a year, we have been living the worst thing that can happen to a human being: killing, bombing, hunger, siege and displacement. I have suffered with my small family, my husband and my unborn daughter. At the beginning of the war on Gaza, we were displaced from our home in Khan Younis to Rafah. We lived in a small tent for more than five months. We suffered greatly because of hunger, disease and siege. When our beautiful home was demolished, I wished for death and cried intensely. We have no shelter left in Gaza. I live with my husband in a dilapidated tent that lets in rain and intense cold. I have launched this campaign to travel with my husband and my unborn daughter. I do not want my daughter to be born amidst death, hunger and destruction. Please look with compassion on us. We are being killed every day. Help a pregnant woman survive winter

i genuinely do not know how to explain to people that my friends need help. winter is fast approaching and on top of that, Alaa @alaajshaat recently learned that she is pregnant. due to the heavy rains of the last days, a lot of people’s tents were inundated. the oftentimes flimsy tents don’t offer much protection in the best of cases, but especially not against the rain or cold.
