Wow. Hey, tumblr. It’s been quite a while. Life update if anyone is still out there… So much has happened. I studied abroad in Costa Rica. I now have a bachelors and a masters degree in speech and language pathology and have been working in the medical side of the career path for almost two years. I’m engaged to my wonderful man, we adopted a pup a year ago, his name is Finn. Things are easier than they used to be, and although they aren’t perfect, I’m content ❤️ I hope all of you have been well, the last few years have been difficult on all of us.

Those lil black dots are all birds. We were driving down the highway and all of a sudden a storm of birds whirled above us in a giant cloud. A beautiful sight that I think about a lot.

Often when I’m tired

I find my haven on his chest

And when the earth

I know these are

just growing pains

Felt in this shared heart that

We have raised from infancy

Together

We each keep a scrapbook

With the same beautiful story

But we have different pictures

The pages flipping with

Each sigh that I feel

Rising up from his chest

Leading my boat

Through the thunder

On glass seas

Never sure how thin

And hoping that because

I can hear forever in his heartbeats

It won’t be loud enough

To shatter the surface

Three and a half years and I am still so in love with him.

I could never have imagined that the sweet, blue eyed boy with dimples that I shyly borrowed a chair from would become the center of my universe.

We’ve been living together for six months now, and it has been nothing less than amazing. It’s like living with my best friend. He makes me so happy.

The bride at the wedding that this video was taken at threw the bouquet at me during the bouquet toss, maybe we should consider that hint.
