ALIX FIGUEROA, FEMALE, SHE/HER, HOMOSEXUAL, 165 is a WITCH in Hollywood. Some say that they resemble LANA PARRILLA. This one is known to be SENSIBLE but can be WISTFUL. They work as a LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / THE SUPREME. They have TAKEN their Oath with the Society. We hope that you’re prepared to do what you need to for fame.
I.
Alix was born in a heavily colonized Puerto Rico, to an ancestral coven that took their roots from almost all corners of the world thanks to the the location of the island. Raised “commune” style, she was never really sure who exactly her mother was, she just knew that she had been conceived with an italian witch, somebody who the rest of the coven considered an outsider. so she was also an outsider herself.
II.
The coven kept to themselves and protected the island and its resources, nature and the Caribbean oceans. They didn’t stray too far and they were treated almost as deities: the villagers prayed quietly and they got rain, stable harvests, healthy livestock. They knew humans were superstitious and stayed out of sight, it never ended well when their worlds decided to collide.
III.
Even in a coven that prided itself in being united, Alix never felt like she belonged. She thought it was because of her ancestry at first, but as her powers started to blossom, she noticed the wariness with which she was treated by the other witches. Controlling the elements (plural) had always come like second nature to her, spells and healing too and she had a thirst for knowledge that was way beyond her years. But in a coven that constantly second guessed her and even started treating her as a threat, Alix grew guarded and withdrawn, choosing not to show her true abilities. Because when she did, her own people would treat her like a monster.
iv.
As decades passed, times moved faster and the coven grew smaller. Alix kept harvesting her knowledge and her power in secret and she felt herself growing stronger. Yet nothing changed for the better. She was still alone, and it was unbearable. Alix couldn’t keep sacrificing herself for people that had never cared for her. Maybe she should have been more outspoken, but power had never been her true desire. She just wanted a place to belong; to love and be loved. So with one last look at her beloved island, Alix packed her bags and left.
v.
With nothing holding her back, Alix travelled the world, learning even more magic and gaining more knowledge. She practiced, she dueled, she loved, lost and lived like she never thought she could. She was indeed becoming a force to be reckoned with, The Supreme that she was always destined to be. However, there still seemed to be layers and layers of barbed wire around her heart, that distrust and hesitation of letting people in, no matter how many beautiful girls she spent the night with. And a familiar was a completely different story, who could even achieve that level of trust?Â
iv.
The card for The Society appeared out of nowhere in Alix’s hotel in Montecarlo and gave way to a meeting that would absolutely change her life. Cressida and Estelle offered something the Supreme could not decline: community, companionship, somewhere to belong. In exchange? They would just require her services every once in a while, who wouldn’t a witch of her caliber on retainer? Alix had grown tired of traveling and was looking to settle anyway, so she signed almost immediately. Finally somebody who could appreciate her true potential.
v.
Lo and behold, Alix quickly climbed to the top and is now a Gold member of The Society. Working undercover as a Landscape Architect, you can see her magic shaping the skylines of California and beyond. She has incredibly long waitlists of people waiting for her to design their spaces and put out whatever fires the Charbonneaus need help with. Like Seren, the disgruntled familiar that has been put under her care that she has become very fond of. And more recently, Bonnesar, the lost little dragon found in the crate of mangoes that was also dropped on her lap. That Alix isn’t sure she ever wants to let go of.
From one second to the next, Alix went from being very lonely to being very busy and honestly... She could get used to it.
