@alkeemyia· / ‘we are not the same, and never will be.’ @xiulan ! / prompt.
‘ i am … aware. ‘ her voice is soft , it sounds far away , as if it is not from herself. in the little time that she has known ana , she cannot place a good or bad opinion on her. not able to form any sort of stance , only to stay neutral thus far. she is aware that they are neither the same or different , as she sees with most people she interacts with. she is not human like ana is , but xiulan thinks she might be kinder than ana. yet , she is sure that the woman has her reasons as to why she acts the way she does , she doesn’t hold her actions against her. she blinks slowly as she watches ana , hands folded in her lap as she continued. ‘ i never implied that we were the same or different , miss ana. ‘
...and despite the stark differences between the two, ana needed to reassure herself. thinking out loud, words like piercing daggers, no wonder she couldn’t hold a conversation with others. growing up into her captain role, surrounded by men who thought too much of themselves, ana moulded into one of them; one of the boys!! xiulan reminded ana of her younger self-- a budding, blank canvas. no, they were different after all. “ you need to make up your mind. ” a stern tone, the usual. “ what would you rather be? fight for that. ” ana despised neutral responses. right or wrong-- it didn’t matter, as long as you were either. ( of course she’d kill you for being on the wrong side, but at least she’d be proud you took a stance. ) “ or do not waste my time. ”
