Been a while since I've done any art relating to my novel projects but finally- here is some Min and Lochiel!
Y'all know know that meme with the dad sitting in a hospital waiting room with an arrow jutting out of his shoulder, next to his son who's holding a bow??
That, but me and my poor friends when we play Grounded. They tend to tank with armour and melee and I provide support with arrows. Unfortunately there are sometimes...accidents...
This is him- the little guy who started my interest in small pets!
His name was Webson (because he was my web spinning son) and he was a giant bark jumping spider. He was a birthday present from my sister and a close friend and I had him for roughly 6 months, which was roughly his full lifespan (male jumping spiders only live for about 1 year).
He really was a wonderful first spider and I miss him, so this is a little memorial appreciation post. More photos below.
I've gone and created a separate blog for my adventures in critter keeping, since it didn't seem to fit well on my other blogs and apparently it's going to be an ongoing interest :) I have the usual cats and dogs but have gotten into spiders and isopods 'recently' too. Also somtimes chickens.
My partner and I played Bread & Fred together yesterday so I drew us a cute lil'picture!
We were...bad at it. But we had fun, so it was still a win!
A love story that was never meant to end well.
(It was funny though and absolutely worth it. I lived, it was fiiine.)
Now with accompanying disaster footage!

Another Palword design, this time for Cremis. Cremis is a fairly easy one given that its essentially just a super fluffy fox. I used a fennec fox to base the head on and just made the snout a little shorter and the face a little pudgier. One of my favourite Pals is currently a lucky cremis with a giant green laser blast.
The lesson learnt here is not to trust the new guy with a shotgun.
Now with context!
Working on my online avatar/persona some more. For now I've decided to stick fairly close to my real self but change up hair and eye colour. I'm also going with a ghost theme because it suits me in a few ways:
-I'm shy *coughterrifiedcough*and like to lurk more than interact -When I'm online I like to summon the 'spirits' of my friends to keep me company -I spend a lot of time in games being dead (because I suck at games) -My body is flimsy and failing me in multiple ways -Sometimes I'll just astral project my soul into an internet window somewhere and leave my body drooling I also decided not to have pupils because I am so heckin blind in dark environments, so no light perception for me XD
When your very good friend commissions you to draw them but 80% of all your interactions are sass and insults and you have no self-control
Some character design to get used to my new tablet. I'm thinking about adding some more fantasy elements to my gamer/artist avatar to reflect the sort of traits I go for in character creation during games, but I'm not sure how I feel about the idea yet.

These are some fun little sketches for a friend, who put up a Christmas tree for the first time in many, many years and sent me photos of her cats exploring it.
I feel like I get asked to draw a lot of cats. Like, so many cats.
Some more character sketches in an attempt to break a creativity block. I really need to work on fabric folds but my brain just doesn't visualise 3D shapes very well :')
Once again posted this on the wrong account so Imma just reblog it here instead of making a whole new one. Oops.
Quick sketch of a friend I play Stardew Valley with :) I haven't drawn anything in so loooong TT__TT
Y'know I want in a story. I want someone to tell a character "this isn't you!" or "You're not [name] anymore. [Name] never would've done this." And the character they say it to is furious.
Because how dare they tell them what's so different that they're suddenly not themself anymore? How dare they decide for them that they aren't themself just because they can't understand why they'd do that? Maybe it's something they absolutely would've done before, they just don't know them. Maybe it's something they wouldn't have done before, but they've changed. They're still themselves. How dare they try to decide what defines them?
I know this makes no sense but like. I want to see a character take it as being denied their own identity. "I'm still me. I'm just different. You don't get to tell me I'm not the same person. I am still [name.] You don't get to make that decision for me." I wanna put that in a story so bad dude you don't even know.
