What is Violet's daily routine?
This question is so fun to me. Of course, I know how her routine looks like but I've never had a chance to really talk about it till now, so thank you!🤭
I'm going to describe her working day, it's a lot more eventfull.
1) Starting with mornings as one would, Violet wakes up around 6 am. She generally can confidently call herself a morning bird, cause even on the weekends she doesn't sleep past 10 am. I say generally, because its a lot harder to enjoy waking up early on a Tuesday. She leaves her bedroom without making the bed, as it is the kind of chore she doesn't enjoy. Closed door is enough to cover that imperfection and move on to the kitchen.
2) After complaining about her life choices on the way, Violet makes her way to the kitchen when she gets the water started for coffee. In the mean time, the furry companion is already sitting by his bowl expecting to be fed. So naturally she does just that. Food for her Ragdoll is always prepared the night before and awaits its turn in the fridge. She does that to avoid smells and additional work. (Fun fact: if it was just a simple bowl of cat food she'd probably leave that liability for the morning, but this cat eats better than me.) After that, she enjoys her coffee making ritual, assuring the final product is just as strong as it is sweet. After pouring milk into it it's finally ready to be enjoyed alongside her first cigarette by the window or on the balcony, where she is awaken by the cold and caffeine.
3) The bathroom is definitely the longest occupied place. Morning showers are sacred and throughout. She enjoys feeling almost boiling water on cold, tight skin and we can tell that from her water bills. Violet takes her time with pampering her skin with peelings and soaps, getting rid of any "imperfections". She usually washes her hair the night before though, they tend to get frizzy when she wants to style them right after washing in the morning. After hiding behind the curtain, she puts on her underwear and it's time for balsams, perfumes, and finally her face. After washing it in cold water, cleaning her teeth and applying serums or creams she does her make up, which in process is not complicated at all. She focuses on her lashes and lips, uses little to no concealer. She loves showing off her skin so her approach to make up is to look natural.
4) The outfit for work is picked the night before. There's no time in the morning to decide which skirt or which blazer is a good match for today's shoes. She gets dressed appropriate to office rules and spices it up with jewelry and some classy accessories. Doing her hair is really up to her mood. Sometimes she leaves it down, sometimes she ties it with a ribbon. Hair up, braids, straighting, maybe overnight locks? Whatever her heart decides.
5) 7:30 on the clock, the sun is shining and she puts on a coat, heels and grabs her bag with snacks and necessities which she prepared earlier. Through the elevator to the exist of her block and then into her car. Sometimes she stops by Simon's café near her home to grab another coffee (or first, if she was in a rush) and a sweet pastry for breakfast. She knows the first meal of the day is the most important one, but the tendency to skip it tempting enough and she's weak.
6) After 20-ish minutes on the road she finally arrives at the Office of Paris building at 8am. As a landscape architect in the faculty of architecture and construction her job contains dealing with reviewing investment projects, deciding about changes in structure of housing, projects of parks and green areas, adaptation to climate changes and many more. Sometimes she has to go and do some field work with people outside of her office. Anything for the paycheck.
7) Four hours of paper work, phone calls and gossiping with secretaries in short breaks flew by, and now the woman is free to enjoy lunch at 12:30pm. The break gives her time to 2pm. That's why she leaves the building and goes on a lunch hunt after another cigarette. Her meal is usually a bit bigger cause she needs to kill hunger from the morning and be prepared for another one approaching after she's done with work. Then, after a while she goes back to her office and finishes what she has to, snacking on fruits and leftovers from time to time.
8) Violet finishes her work day at 4pm. Sometimes she needs to stay longer but she's usually lucky. Now, she goes to the gym two times a week and we're going to go with that option. She drives to a gym located half way during her drive home. Physical activity really helps with unwinding after a long day of intellectual work, stuck behind the desk most of the time. She spends an hour mostly in pilates class, trying to make her body even more lean than it already is. Sweating the frustration and repressed amount of energy out of her head. It's also a great time to curse at herself for not getting back into calisthenics. After a whole workout she washes her face, bathes in perfume and deodorant to avoid public showers.
9) Now it's 5 something pm on the clock and Violet is still not home. With gym right after her work or not, she always stops at a supermarket to grab some things for dinner. After that short strip she finally goes home.
10) By 6 pm Ansel is greeted by her cat. I mean, if he feels like even addressing that his mom came home. She drops her things by the door, next in the kitchen and after feeding Grzyb she goes straight to the bathroom. She loves taking some time for herself by having a relaxing bath. This is the moment where all stress from work alongside smells, make up and tightness in muscless are reduced to peaceful bliss. Another skin care and alongside hair treatments later, after maybe 40 minutes she's finally in her pajamas, fresh and ready to get the dinner started.
11) Violet loves to cook while listening to music, so she spends another half hour on preparing food for late dinner and work while swaying around the kitchen enjoying her own company. Through there are days when she talks to her friends on the phone instead. Especially to Claude, most of the time. She also uses the spare time to take route around the apartment and check how her flowers are hanging on. She pics death leafs, waters them and hopes they won't die out of nowhere.
12) After getting everything done she eats her dinner and packs the rest. To allow herself a moment of laziness there's a need of preparing everything for the next day that needs to be fulfilled. Clothes, bag, charging electronics, food for the cat. Id say it's 8 something pm when Violet finally can sit on the couch, pet her cat and watch a TV show or do something for herself alongside a wine glass. She never relaxes in her bedroom cause she sees it as a place only for sleeping, where shes free from distractions. How long she'll sit in her living room depends on how tired she is, but her bedtime is usually around midnight.
13) Then it's time for bed. She goes to her room, sees the unmade bed, sighes, fixes it up and opens the window to let out the stuffy air. A cigarette on the balcony is the perfect way to end the day. After that, she finally goes to bed and falls asleep cuddled to her cat or plush shark. Then the only thing left to do is to repeat the same in the morning.
It came out a lot longer than I thought, but I had fun. It was relaxing to focus on such small things, I hope I didn't bore you❤❤❤
