I do think the fact shuros more expressive around laios and will show outright anger w him indicates he trusts him quite a lot and considers him a friend later on in the show. Its just counterintuitive bc hes a bit of a weirdo. On the flipside i think laios taking him less seriously and accepting he can be a judgmental little asshole and rolling his eyes when he gets mad @ him is also great for their friendship bc he doesnt have him on a pedestal anymore.

Think its pretty important after theyve built up falin as an angelic self sacrificing figure they come in w shuro going actually these are bad traits that will make you a liability make you not speak up about injustice make you a weenie in conflicts and will hurt you and the ppl you love

i think theres a pretty strong implication w the fact the nobles of the canaries can pardon a prisoner theyre fond of that cithis has succeeded in doing this in the past. Which is interesting bc she flits in and out of the canaries and she keeps coming back. I think she wanted to leave and had a whole plan to do so but then just found she couldnt function in elven society anymore and she did not have the same sway she did in the canaries. Which matches w her specialty in magic (distorting the senses) being illegal. Which is why i think her/erique who got pardoned but came back to work when the canaries were shortstaffed even tho most of her team members have been slaughtered has legs.

idk it just kinda bums me out that the character that most explicitly says like we don’t have to live in an unjust world like this we can change things who does go against his first instinct to be distrustful to hear people out gets regarded like this :( kabrus like genuinely a good guy whos pretty young trying to strike out in the world and do the right thing.

whenever i see kabru has chosen to be a polisci major im like i dunno if he would choose this. He explicitly gave up a life of comfort to die 10000 times in a dungeon somewhere. I don’t think he’d be going thru the traditional education route tbh . Not to be a hater I just don’t think ppl like understand him as a character and I am taking this too seriously.
