Quote/Comment/Question (QCQ)
1. "How come any piece of canvas with pigment on it gets to be called art?"
2. I think this question is very interesting. We see it get debated a lot in the art community, and it's a valid question to ask. I think that despite how old this question gets, we'll always see it being asked. A lot of people might see a lot of modern art being made and dismiss it as being easy or something they could do. Then the question is, why didn't you? If it was so easy to make, what stopped you? If it leaves a lasting impression on you to repeat that it is not art, doesn't that make it art in the first place? Doesn't it fulfill its purpose to start a conversation? In my opinion, it does.
3. What is art? What constitutes as art? Are there guidelines people must follow? If you personally don't see something as art, does that automatically make it not? If it leaves a lasting impression on you to repeat that it is not art, doesn't that make it art in the first place?
