Late Night Rant by Me on July 16th 2019
This is late at night rants with Anthony Jones (future professional Post Production manager for big time movies) on the topic of being a young small channel YouTuber
with 1.7K subs I've always had so many views on my videos
even when my channel was less than 100 I was getting lots of views on my videos back in 2010 and earlier
view counts of 10,000 and above
two of my videos recently hit the 100,000+ mark
with one being from 2008 (when my channel came out)
that video was always my biggest in views but stopped gaining views after a long time
all of a sudden with YouTube's stupid new alg that video has sky rocketed in views and search results
YouTube's new alg is taking older videos and promoting them like crazy
leaving no search results for who?
now on to the one topic that I think needs more coverage that I feel is causing less subs for my channel
YouTube disabling comments on channels with minors
once this new system was set and got started all of my videos got comments disabled
my new videos since then haven't
What I hate about this is that the system was made because of the idea of predatory comments on young youtubers channels
though to target me, at a time of being 15 and taking all of my videos comments and disabling them just because I have super old videos of me as a kid is absurd
what is even more interesting is that I've been following a channel of a kid (younger than me, and does a fantastic job with his professionalism) and his comments are not disabled
the only thing I can think is that his channel (being under 1000 subs) was not targeted by this bot
