Aston Martin have announced the Vanquish Zagato Speedster. With the final variant, a Shooting Break to come. The totals to be produced will be as follows....99 each of the Coupes, Volantes, & Shooting Brakes plus 28 Speedsters.
The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante, a limited-edition convertible model, was revealed at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The Volante follows the success of the Vanquish Zagato Coupé, which was first seen in concept form at Villa d’Este in May. Like the Coupé, the Volante has a run of just 99 models, expected to cost in excess of £500,000 each.
The naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine, which was developed and engineered at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, has been uprated from 568bhp in the standard £204,995 Vanquish Volante to 592bhp, with a predicted 0-60mph time of 3.7sec. Source: Autocar
2016 Vanquish Zagato Concept - The Vanquish Zagato Concept will make its global debut at the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, held at Lake Como in Italy from 21 – 22 May 2016
The Vanquish Zagato Concept is the fifth car to emerge from a collaboration that stretches back over five decades, pairing Aston Martin's acclaimed sporting, dynamic and material qualities with Zagato's signature design language.
From the iconic DB4 GT Zagato of 1960 through to the V12 Vantage Zagato of 2011, every collaboration has accentuated key aspects of Aston Martin's design journey and brought them together with Zagato's own race-inspired design language. The result is a group of four sports cars that represent some of Aston Martin's most avant-garde expressions.
The Vanquish Zagato Concept was designed in close collaboration between the Aston Martin Design team led by Marek Reichman and Andrea Zagato and his dedicated design team in Milan. Developed and engineered at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, England the concept features proportions that remain quintessentially Aston Martin and emphasises a dynamic, forward-looking stance. The new bodywork is entirely shaped from carbon fibre, with the split lines on the body reduced by the use of large one-piece panels. New lights include round tail light reflectors that evoke the classic rear view of a Zagato design, incorporating the same 'bladed' LED technology as the Aston Martin Vulcan track-only supercar.

Aston Martin is to build its new luxury car in south Wales, creating 750 highly-skilled jobs.
The DBX car will be hand-made in a super hangar at St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan.
It is a major coup for Wales, which took two years to secure the deal ahead of 20 locations across the world.
As well as attracting one of motoring's most prestigious names, it is expected to create about 1,000 jobs with suppliers and local business.
Aston Martin chief executive Andy Palmer called it a "momentous day for Wales" at a news conference in Cardiff on Wednesday.
The development will include a skills academy, which will make St Athan and the Vale of Glamorgan a centre of excellence.
Work on the factory will start in 2017 and production will start three years later.
The DB11 was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016.
Car Magazine said: Aston Martin claims the DB11 will sprint from 0-62mph in 3.9sec and hit a top speed of 200mph. The all-aluminium V12 produces a stout 600bhp and 516lb ft, which is sent to the rear wheels via a rear-mounted eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Peak power is produced at 6500rpm, while peak torque is usefully on offer from 1500-5000rpm.
As you can see, the interior's considerably more modern than any seen in an Aston for a long time. That's in part thanks to the new tie-up with Daimler for hardware.
Consequently, inside, you'll spot familiar switchgear and media systems, including a 12-in digital driver's display, a centrally mounted 8-in screen and Mercedes' rotary controller – the touch one is optional.
The new hardware should deliver a thoroughly modern experience – and features like a standard-fit 360-degree parking camera will no doubt be appreciated by many.
The doors are claimed to have a wider opening, making access easier, while there's a pair of ISOFIX mounting points in the back for child seats. The boot's claimed to be big enough for a pair of large holdalls and some smaller bags, so the DB11 may well offer true GT credentials. A 78-litre tank should let you cover some distance, at least – but official consumption figures haven't been announced yet.
As you'd expect, Aston offers wide range of personalisation options for the DB11 – including contrasting colours and textures for the interior trims.

Aston Martin DB9 GT: Available as either a coupe or open-top Volante, the DB9 GT gets a subtle bodykit, a 30bhp power hike and a smattering of equipment upgrades.Aston DB9 GT: what’s different?Starting with the bits you can see, a black-painted splitter and diffuser combo (or carbonfibre as an option), subtly revised headlights and tail-lights, new 10-spokealloy wheels and a choice of colours for the brake calipers to go behind them.Aston Martin describes the GT as ‘the best of what DB9 can be.
The 5.9-litre V12 has had its power output upped to 540bhp at 6750rpm and peak torque to 457lb ft at 5500rpm. That gets the GT to 0-62mph a tenth faster, in 4.5 seconds, with top speed remaining at 183mph. The V12’s coupled to the same six-speed paddle-shift gearbox found in other DB9s, and the GT’s suspended on three-stage adaptive dampers with Normal, Sport and Track modes.
Inside, the multimedia system has had a revamp. An evolution of the system first fitted to the new-generation Vanquish, it’s been given a revised menu system that’s said to be less fiddly to navigate, along with a text message readout function, real-time power and torque readings (which you probably shouldn’t be looking at while you’re generating meaningful amounts of either), Bluetooth audio streaming and DAB radio. Aston Martin DB9GT Bond Edition: Perhaps aware that some fans of both Aston Martin and James Bond might be feeling left out, unable to (officially) purchase one of the 10 special DB10 sports cars built for the upcoming Bond 007 Spectre movie, Aston has moved to fill the void. The stopgap, a DB9 GT Bond Edition, isn’t quite the stunner that the DB10 is, but it comes loaded with Aston Martin-ness and several Bond touches and silver paint named after the Spectre film.
Limited to just 150 examples worldwide, Aston Martin says the DB9 GT Bond Edition begins life as the recently introduced DB9 GT. A coat of Spectre Silver paint is applied, along with a set of 20-inch black-painted wheels with diamond-turned accents, aluminum hood and fender vents, and a carbon-fiber splitter and diffuser.
The brake calipers are painted grey, and there are numbered door-sill plates with the famous Bond 007/gun logo; in fact, the gun stuff doesn’t end there—there are more gun logos embroidered on the hump between the rear seats. The only gun onboard that actually fires is the lusty 540-hp V-12 shared with other DB9 GTs, but assuredly owners can stash a Walther PPK somewhere for added danger.
Purchase a Bond Edition, and Aston Martin will throw in some appropriately luxe swag that’ll make you feel like the secret agent himself, including Globe Trotter luggage and an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra “James Bond Limited Edition” watch

Aston Martin Vulcan -
Described as the brand's "most intense and exhilarating creation to date," the Vulcan is a track-only supercar that was designed to go head-to-head with the best cars in the world.
Looking undeniably aggressive, the Vulcan has a unique front fascia with a massive grille that is integrated into the front splitter. That decision will likely provoke love-or-hate-it reactions but the rest of the car has a number of classic Aston Martin styling cues.
Since the car was built for the track, it features a carbon fiber monocoque, a limited-slip differential and a magnesium torque tube with a carbon fiber propeller shaft. The model also has Brembo racing calipers with carbon ceramic racing discs that measure 380mm front and 360mm rear.
Power is provided by a naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V12 engine that produces more than 800 bhp (596 kW). Aston Martin was coy on detailed specifications but confirmed the engine is connected to a six-speed sequential transmission. The automaker also said the car has a power-to-weight that exceeds GTE race cars that compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Besides the almighty engine, the Vulcan has a bespoke suspension with adjustable dampers and adjustable anti-roll bars. There's also a variable traction control system and a driver-adjustable anti-lock braking system.
In a statement, Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said the Vulcan is a "rare and thrilling supercar" that was "designed and engineered to deliver a genuinely bespoke driving experience that draws on our rich heritage." He went on to say the Vulcan is a "sports car for true sports car lovers" and will set a "whole new standard in the ultra-high luxury supercar class.”
Production will be limited to 24 units and buyers will be offered the opportunity to participate in an extensive track training program. As part of this, owners will receive instruction from experienced racers including Aston Martin Racing’s Darren Turner. They will also get behind the wheel of a number of high-performance models - including the V12 Vantage S, One-77 and Vantage GT4 race car - so they can gradually build experience and develop their track technique before taking their Vulcan for a spin.
