also suzaku kururugi is a stunningly well written character. his motivations are easy to understand and cg lays out his arc with a vicious precision. he's a wet blanket liberal. he's a race traitor. he's a scared little boy whose trauma and moral compass lead him to places i wouldn't go with a gun. he has the hopes and dreams of a nation on his shoulders. he has killed hundreds (possibly thousands). he is the willing sword and shield of an imperial power. he believed in a better world and was willing to build it brick by brick. he wants so badly to die. he wants so much to be free of sin again. he wants to protect the people he loves and he wants lelouch to stop destroying the world and he wants to experience the adolescence he sacrificed. his best friend took away his autonomy. he took the autonomy of his best friend. he has kind eyes. his cruelty is only matched by his hatred. his priority has always been saving people. he has a pet cat that hates him
