Hello birdies~ How is your summer going? I hope everything is being wonderful. Mine has been a roller coaster since it started, growing bigger and still not ending. There are a *lot* of news I want to share with you. The first one is that I'm focusing my social media attention officially in Youtube, Tiktok and Tumblr. What happened with Instagram and X(Twitter), BlueSky, etc.? Well, the true is...I was accused underhanded of 'plagiarism' because one of my main characters, Von Farel(the good sir that can be seen in these images) uses dreadlocks, the same as another character of other author. That's where the similarities end, but I was faced with a cold room in which I discovered the issue by some kind of miracle(and lovely people who told me in private). Once my point was defended in a threat, the cold treatment stopped, but I have little patient for this kind of behavior because I face two huge cases of art bullying years ago that destroyed my self-steem as a comic artist. So, as usual, I've decided to distance myself from the community and focusing on my craft and the artists focused on theirs. Which lead me to another topic, and is...I'm moving to work for a year to Japan! Yay, woaaah, *claps* /silly! I'm so happy I can barely breathe! I've never thought I'll be able to visit the country, let alone work on it. Preparations have been on the table, spending time with my family(who I would barely see next year) and above all, mentalize myself to learn from one of the biggest countries in videogame development and comic (manga, webtoon). To say I'm exciting is an understatement. In case you want to, I've decided to make a vlog with all my discoveries (it will be in Spanish but there would be English subtitles). This would also be an opportunity for me to speak in English in my main account...I'm so shy it's criminal haha To sum up! Mermay post: Aurora, the third and last main character of my webtoon Blue Tea.

She's a middle age woman who is the last legacy of a truth that crossed oceans of time to reach Griselda and Kim.

Heavily inspired in my main character of Bloodborne (of course) in everything but appereance, as the videogame proved a heavy influence in the last years of cooking of Blue Tea. So here we have a dark, goth mermaid. What do you think about her? MIddle-age mermaids all the way, please and thank you.

Blue Tea | Griselda Birch Mermay 2024

This year I'm participating in the Mermay event with my characters of Blue Tea. The first one is Griselda, I'll do all the main characters throughout the month. I went for a 'human' Griselda because is what we would see mostly in the comic, and Sophie would add the fairy touch. Hope you like it!

Karl Heisenberg has become one of my favourite characters of the Resident Evil Saga, which I thought it was impossible due to my profound love for the classic characters and my slight disappointment with Resident Evil VII. Thank you to all who voted for Blue Tea on Faneo, the Spanish platform for webcomic, as Best Drawing. It earn one of the bronze position and it took me by surprised. I didn't expect it at all, specially after the roller coaster the last half of the year has been for me.

Thank you, thank you and once again, thank you for being this kind with me and my story.

I have made a special illustration to celebrate, introducing Von Farel again. He hasn't been introduced to the story yet, but if you're fond of Gareth's type of character, I am sure you would be as fond of Von Farel as I am.

Hi! How are you? I hope your March is going well so far. It has been a while since I wrote anything, as I have been working on the updated webtoon panels of Blue Tea, among other things. This is a revision of one of them, so as you can see I'm putting all my background knowledge on the table! Let's keep improving our skills. My Cintiq broke randomly because of the blackout on November, it seems it just couldn't take anymore. Right now I'm working with my old, baby one, and the difference in screens is enormous, I'm really not used to this anymore haha Mr. Reina is using all his skills to find me a new one in a decent prize, even bigger than the last while we wait for certain pieces to change in the motherboard, so maybe I could bring some news soon. I feel so fortunate of having a fiancé who I can rely in the complex aspects of tech stuff. I also have been working on several commissions and small projects, and right now I'm learning kanas because maybe, and just maybe, I'll have the opportunity to work for/in Japan! Fingers crossed. Next month I will be in Granada to present portfolio to certain publishing companies. Fingers crossed too~

Happy Valentine's Day! Tomb Raider: Remastered.

Happy Valentine's Day! Today is the release of one of the games of my favourite saga of all time, Tomb Raider: Remastered. It collects the three first stories, expansions included. I have been looking forward for this game since they announced. Lara Croft is a huge part of me since I was gifted the second game as a child. She became my first example to follow as a woman, no matter if it's fictional or not. I learned to swim with her movements, for example hahaha I was pretty sad with the remake, but now that they're turning back to the Lara I know and love I'm thrilling. I really hope the game succeeds enough to give us more remastered games or complete certain adventures, like Angel of Darkness(I know of a great author who is creating the continuation as books and I love to see it in-game).
