Confessions of an entrepreneur:

It all started as a dream, an idea that seemed clear to my mind and sense to my heart ..but the idea was easy, the hard part was making it a reality. Engineers, mold makers, injectors, lawyers, etc; people I had to manage when they doubled my age and experience.

Those who know me well know that this year has been the hardest year of my life. Because it is not gold all that glitters, because sometimes hard work does not have a quick payoff and because sometimes not everything goes as you expect. But after these year of work, I can finally say that touchland KUB is a reality that has overcome all barriers and that what has been a dream for me, will soon be part of everyday life of people. I just want to encourage all those who think that perhaps there are too many obstacles and perhaps it's not worth it, to endure and do not give up.. Just hold a little more. Because in the end, if you do not give up, you can make your dreams come true.

PS: Thanks to my distributors and customers for believing in me and have patience, the wait will be worth it and thanks to my friends and family, for supporting me when the "eternal optimistic" Andrea was not going though the best times. Thanks to all!

***** Todo empezó como un sueño, como una idea que parecía clara a mis ojos y mi corazón.. pero la idea fue facil, lo difícil ha sido convertirlo en una realidad. Ingenieros, moldistas, inyectores, abogados, etc; gente que tienes que gestionar cuando la mayoría te doblan en edad y experiencia. Aquellos que me conocen bien saben que este año ha sido el año más duro de mi vida. Porque no es oro todo lo que reluce, porque a veces trabajar duro no tiene una rápida recompensa y porque a veces no todo sale como te esperas. Pero después de estos años de trabajo, por fin puedo decir que el KUB es una realidad, que ha superado todas las barreras y que lo que ha sido un sueño para mi, pronto formará parte del día a día de las personas. Sólo quiero animar a todos aquellos que piensen que quizás son demasiados problemas y que quizás no merezca la pena, que aguanten.. sólo un poco más. Porque al final, si uno no se rinde, todo se hace realidad.

Gracias a mis distribuidores y clientes por creer en mi y por la paciencia, la espera merecerá la pena y gracias a mis amigos y familia, por apoyarme cuando "la eterna optimista" de Andrea no pasaba por sus mejores momentos. Gracias a todos!

We are called dreamers, fun it is that in order to make our dream come true we have to work 24/7. So no time for real dreaming while sleep. 

One of the words that define a real entrepreneur is PERSEVERANCE. To do everything it takes to make your idea, a reality.

Andrea Lisbona es la fundadora de Touchland, una compañía que se enfoca en desarrollar dispensadores inteligentes de higiene de manos con un diseño atractivo y funcional. Touchland cuenta hoy en día con dos modelos de dispensadores, el KUB2go el cual se puede llevar en el bolso, o junto al celular y el otro es el KUB el cual  tiene mayor capacidad para poderlo utilizar en la oficina o casa sin perturbar el espacio. TouchLand se ha ganado la confianza de clientes referentes de todos ls sectores como Sheraton, Teknon, Lavazza entre otros. Ademas, TouchLand esta presente en mas de 10 paises como Venezuela, Egipto, Kenia, Tanzania, Russia, Portugal, Kuwait entre otros.

Momento de Dificultad

Andrea menciono que su mayor momento de dificultad fue al principio cuando comenzó TouchLand, ya que fue durante plena crisis económica de España. Durante esta época era difícil lograr una venta ya que las empresas solo estaban pensando en reducir costos. Ademas, TouchLand estaba ofreciendo un producto innovador lo cual también conlleva a que hay que ganarse la confianza del cliente antes de lograr una venta.

Momento de la Idea

El momento de la idea nace cuando Andrea estaba estudiando en los EEUU y se dio cuenta de que los dispensadores de manos se usaban en todos lados y fue allí que se le ocurrió la idea de rediseñar el dispensador para que fuera mas atractivo y funcional y así nace Touchland.

Sacred Geometry and The ‪Fibonacci‬ Sequence have been subjects that I have been learning more and more about over the past few years and the more I learn the more in-tune with nature I feel.

Artists and architects have been using geometrical and mathematical properties since ancient times. We’ve seen it used by architects from Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, and by Renaissance artists like Michelangelo and Da Vinci. However, this animator wanted to showcase how these properties are used in nature … and he did so with mesmerizing results.

A brand is a living thing and that's why we keep moving forward!

A company’s logo is a recognition tool for the public to link their services or products to the company. In other words, it is part of a company’s branding. Without such branding, the public will not be able to differentiate between companies, and therefore unable to expect a certain standard or quality from the company which they interact with. A logo, if designed effectively, can bring to people’s mind the unique selling proposition of an organization, which inevitably promotes the company on a sub-conscious level.

Yesterday I had a great afternoon sharing the beginnings of touchland with entrepreneurship students from ESADE Summer course. 

It's always a pleasure to be in front of young energetic people that want to start their own project. I enjoy explaining our story so they can see that if we could do it, so they could. It's a matter of try and believe in what you are doing.
