Dell XPS 13 Upgraded with Intel Core Ultra 200V Processor; Delivers an Impressive 26-Hour Battery Life
This year has already been full of surprises for the PC hardware world, and Dell just added another twist by unveiling a new version of the XPS 13 laptop, now powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 200V processors. Thanks to these cutting-edge chips, the laptop now offers a remarkable 26-hour battery life.
This marks the third time in the past year that Dell has refreshed its XPS 13 with new hardware. The laptop first launched with the initial version of the Core Ultra processors and was updated with Snapdragon X in July. Now, it’s getting another upgrade with the Core Ultra 200V.
Specs of the Dell XPS 13 with Intel Lunar Lake Processor
The Intel Core Ultra 200V processor in the Dell XPS 13 brings powerful neural processing capabilities, delivering up to 48 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for AI tasks. The chip also features significantly faster high-performance and low-power cores. Intel claims its integrated Xe2 graphics are 32% faster than the previous generation, 16% faster than AMD’s HX 360, and 68% faster than the 12-core Snapdragon X Elite.
One key difference in this new version of the Dell XPS 13, compared to previous models with the Core Ultra processors, is the lack of upgradability for RAM. In the Core Ultra 200V, the memory is designed to be integrated directly into the processor.
Beyond the new processor, the latest Dell XPS 13 is the first laptop to feature a dual-layer OLED display for enhanced brightness. According to Dell, users can achieve up to 26 hours of battery life while streaming Netflix in 1080p on a Full HD+ screen with 150 nits of brightness.
Starting today, the Dell XPS 13 is available for pre-order, with a base price of $1,400.
