My Flame is Gone

Independant Roleplay Blog for Roxas from Kingdom Hearts. Still a work in progress so please be patient with me. Mun is 18+ and muse is my own personal interpretation of the character. Roxas is typically going to be 18 and he has a black cat named Pudding. I am always open to new verses and au ideas. He is also multiship, and multiverse. He IS gay. Also the title of the blog is not a shipping thing. Well it kind of is, but i don't limit Roxas to Axel. He just shut himself off after Axel's 'demise' shall we call it. I'm always up for shipping with anyone. M/A: None

You know, one thing i like about Mulan is how Yao, Ling and Chien Po don’t really seem to care about the fact that Mulan is a girl.

I mean, when they find out, they are visibly perplexed

But even so, they rush and try to help her when she’s about to get killed

After this, they all seem quite depressed about having to leave her behind (and when Shang ignores her)

And when she shows up and takes action, they gladly follow her lead

And they even rock some crossdressing, like she did

(btw they just missed a great opportunity to make Shang crossdress here, shame on you movie)

Honestly, i just think this needs more appreciation. Because to them, Mulan didn’t have to prove herself again, just because she is a girl. She already earned their friendship and respect when she was ‘Ping’, and that was enough.

-is allergic to chocolate -is physically incapable of laughter (it comes out as a hiss, like steam escaping a pipe) -has weird long vampire teeth -once led a chemical attack on some college students who had bullied his high school chemistry class -named his bicycle Tom Bombadil -got hired twice for the same job as himself and his fake identical twin because his boss wouldn’t hire him full time -is the only member of my family to have shown me open and unconditional support -is a clean-cut nerd… who used to be a psychedelic Deadhead and follow them around on tour -enjoys snacking on an exercise formula called “goo”; his favorite flavor is “plain”. Plain goo. He gave me a box of it for Christmas once and it’s as gross as it sounds. -cannot touch mangos -teaches meditation seminars at his Buddhist temple -has begun studying magic -used to be obsessed with cults, especially Scientology, and would just… spy on their temples -is so fucking weird -used to drive a car that he’d covered entirely in plastic lizards, until someone stole it -is terrified of the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz and still has nightmares about them

-showed up to a family outing downtown this morning, wearing nylon shorts and expensive leather Oxford formal shoes -cried himself to sleep as a child because he desperately wanted a pet alligator -has experimented with god knows how many psychoactive substances…. For Science -is a literal masochist, as discovered this afternoon, when he told me all about how he’s addicted to the “excruciating pain and unexpected pleasure” of physical therapy -has feet so long he has to get shoes custom made for him - they have, in the past, been mistaken for clown shoes -once took his girlfriend on a date to lick the St. Louis Arch, in winter, and later revealed that he only framed it as a date ‘cause he was afraid of going alone in case his tongue got stuck to the metal -told me that he loved how bananas made his whole throat feel tingly, was surprised to find out that bananas are not supposed to have this effect -was disappointed that I did not bring a book on demon conjugation to the family reunion, because he wanted to compare it to his own translation -got banned from going down a slide today because he was dripping wet and had clearly been swimming…. he was just really sweaty from climbing the stairs

He showed up to our Christmas Eve dinner wearing a dress shirt, fancy slacks, and flip flops. All he ate was a bowl of smoked oysters.

I”m perfection just try not to get too jealous.” he snickered and grinned before reaching out and poking the other playfully. “ Nothing much, really just the same old crap different day.” he snickered and tilted his head watching the other amused because well, he’s certain he’s not that interesting. “ So what have you been up to Roxy, aside from what you told me.”

Roxas laughed and tried to avoid the poking not that he could really do that. “Not much at all honestly.” he admitted, stirring his drink. “I’m just working at a cafe and music store trying to make ends meet.” he shrugged.

“Huh–” he gasped faintly under his breath when his hand was taken. Axel’s eyes fluttered closed for a second before opening once more. Roxas was… holding his hand? Why? Nevermind, Axel mused to himself. It didn’t mean anything. Probably. Roxas was just like that. Axel smiled. “Of course I’ll come with you.” He looked into his eyes. At least, very briefly until he quickly made himself look away.

“I’m happy to hear that.” he smiled and led him further in, “I’m sure we’ll need to go out and get your stuff but we can stay here and catch up for a while if you’d like.” he offered sitting down on the couch, not yet letting go of Axel’s hand once. He liked being so close to him again.

“Seriously Rox,” His voice was weak as he pulled on the others arm.A weird ache in his chest as he looked at the slumped over male. Axel trying his best to get the blond to face him. “ I just got you back…. Why are you running away?” 

Roxas turned slowly looking up slightly from the floor. “Axel....I just...” he was shaking as tears threatened to fall. He felt like a fool. Of course Axel would be taken. “I...I’m....not...sure how to say it...” he knew exactly what to say but he didn’t want to say it. Saying it outloud to the redhead would change everything.

When the other moved out of his grasp and landed on the floor. Axel could only stare at him. Taking in the sight before bursting into laughter himself. The image of the other dying of laughter on the floor was way too much for him.  “I am not sorry!”

Roxas was still laughing and looked up at him with bright blue eyes, “I never expected you to be.” he sat up and crawled back onto the couch hugging him tightly. “Except now my head and sides hurt!”

Axel had to think about it for a moment . Not really understanding the question until  he moved to brush away something on his cheek. The redhead instantly reminded of the tattoos that he once had. “ Those were…. Heh-Perks of being a nobody. But, now since I have a heart… A lot of things have changed. “

Roxas nodded slowly, feeling like it might have been a bad thing to bring up. “Well i hope they’ve changed for the better.” he told him warmly with a grin.

Roxas snorted and watched him, smirking, oh how he had missed these moments, “Yes. Yes, you are definitely perfection.” he snorted and smirked, taking a sip of his drink. “So besides being engaged and calling me a hipster what else is new?”
