Husk definitely struggles with how protective Angel is of him after Angel comes back to the hotel. He is protective of Angel, that's a given, but he struggles with why Angel is protective of him. Angel firmly tells Husk that he will always be protective of him, that it is something Angel can't compromise on, that he will always be protective of Husk, it is deeply ingrained in him because he loves him.

It takes Husk a bit to admit it but Angel's words and actions bring so much warmth and comfort to him. It's been a long time since anyone has considered him worthy of protection.

Husk definitely makes Angel laugh. Whenever Husk verbally roasts someone and Angel is there, Angel can't help but snicker and laugh internally. Angel finds Husk's sarcasm and sass hilarious.

An example of that is when Husk tells Vaggi to drop the "Vag" part of her name. In the background, Angel bites his lip to keep from snickering out loud.

An underrated moment is how Husk and Cherri called out Baxter for beginning to fortify the hotel without Angel. Baxter has no clue how close he was to getting a beat down from both of them.

Thinking about a Huskerdust reprise of "Out for Love"

It's easy to imagine Husk in Vaggi's place. But I keep thinking about Angel being in her place too. Angel coming back to the hotel in a better place than he has been in for awhile. He has his soul back, he is with Husk and Cherri again, maybe he even reunited with his siblings somehow.

Then Alastor comes along and willingly betrays the hotel. Does the very thing Angel hated himself for doing, even though he was forced to do it. Alastor made that choice.

Alastor takes Husk from him, betrays them all, destroys the happiness Angel has found once again. I could see Angel getting a bit lost in wanting Alastor to pay for that.

Angel having to be reminded that if he is not helping go against Alastor for love, for Husk? That he won't be able to handle it? Would be amazing.

The size difference between Husk and Angel has so much potential. Husk barely reaches Angel's shoulders in most shots of them standing side by side.

Angel loves to cuddle. I can see him pulling Husk against him while curling around him. Husk loves when Angel holds him like that.

Angel and Husk are both cuddlers after that. Especially once Angel is finally free from his contract.

The main reason I want the Alastor as a villain arc in the show, besides the idea that I want to see Alastor let loose fully, is what it could do for Husk and Niffty as characters.

They both have found love at the Hotel. They both care about the hotel itself, much as Husk tries to deny that fact at times.

So far, everything with Alastor has not led into direct conflict with that.

But when it does? When those two are forced to go against people they love?

Give me all the character development when those two decide to go against Alastor as best they can, together.

Maybe a callback to Husk telling Alastor he doesn't care if he rips apart his soul, he won't hurt Angel or Cherri for him?

Angel and Husk are so protective of each other, I love it. The protectiveness is there throughout most of their scenes in season 2.

Never getting over the look on Angel's face when he realized Husk was in real danger.

Whatever happens that ends up breaking Angel's contract with Valentino, I want Angel to be an active participant in it. Much as I love the idea of Husk gambling for Angel's soul, Angel would be livid with him if he tried that without telling him first.

I kind of want a Baxter and Niffty scenario. Where Angel gets to give Valentino a beat down while Husk cheers him on.

If they do go the route of Angel wondering if his feelings for Husk are genuine, I would be okay with that mostly because it means he is going to have a moment. A moment where he realizes that no, these feelings ARE real. That he genuinely is 100 percent in love with this man. These feelings are his and his alone.

A moment like that with Angel towards Husk would be everything.

Since Husk was already gone before Vox said Angel killed his father, if Husk ever finds out I hope it's because Angel chooses to tell him.

Let Angel tell Husk on his own terms, when he is ready.

When it comes to Husk and Cherri, I am so glad the writers chose to make them friends and not have any animosity between them whatsoever. Not only because Angel does not need two of his most important people to be at constant odds but because the friendship is good for their characters as well.

They have formed a friendship between the two of them that goes beyond just their mutual love of Angel. They actually like and care about each other. I love how Cherri seems to have fully accepted Husk into her and Angel's fold. She is fully aware of what's developing between Husk and Angel. And I love how Husk trusts her enough to be vulnerable around her after Angel leaves because he's very open with her about how the whole situation makes him feel.

I just really love what they did with Cherri and Husk's dynamic.

I have seen other people talking about whether Angel is going to trust if his feelings for Husk are real or not. And I can't help but imagine what a blow that would be for Husk if he ever finds out. He built this friendship with Angel, let himself become close, he loves Angel very much.

Only to find out this person he loves so much, is now wondering if his side of the relationship is even real?

That would be a crushing blow to Husk. The thought that Angel only loves him due to being forced too? Husk would spiral.

Even more than a kiss, I want a Husk and Angel hug. I want them to melt into each other's arms. Angel wrapping all of his arms around Husk while Husk wraps his wings around him.

They both need it.

It breaks my heart that I know if Husk and Angel had their roles reversed, where Husk was the one being forced to spy on the hotel unknowingly and Angel went off to rescue him, that Angel's reaction to him would have been similar to how Husk reacted in canon. Angel would have only wanted Husk to be safe and back at the hotel with him. He would not have cared one bit about what Husk was forced to do.

Angel definitely shows more compassion for others than he does himself, especially if it is someone he truly loves. Husk isn't the only one with self esteem issues.

If one day fandom ends up being able to make parallels between Angel walking away from Husk to protect him from the Vees. And a scene where Husk walks away from Angel to protect him from Alastor? I will explode.

What I want for Husk as a character more than anything is for him to slowly but surely realize he is worthy of being redeemed, that he was worthy of Angel trying to protect him from the train. Husk told Angel he wasn't worth saving.

Husk has so much care for the lives of others, especially those he cares about, but he has zero care for himself. His self esteem is in the gutter.

He has learned how to love others again, but now I want him to learn to love himself as well. There is nothing wrong with wanting to do better for others, I just want Husk to include wanting to do better for himself in that equation too.

A factor in how down and unhappy Husk is after Angel leaves the hotel is definitely where Angel is. I think if Angel had gotten redeemed and ended up in Heaven, that Husk would still miss him and be sad for himself but happy for Angel. It would be bittersweet for Husk but at least he would know Angel is in a relatively safe place.

But now? Husk knows Angel is with the Vees. Knows how terribly they treat Angel. He knows Angel is being treated like garbage 24/7 over there. Knowing that is contributing to Husk being so down in my opinion.

If Angel was in Heaven, Husk would be able to cope with the separation much better because at least Angel achieved his dream.
