Suddenly he let go of the handrail and purposefully cut the distance between us while not releasing me from his gaze. He stood in front of me but I averted my gaze and looked straight at his chest. I was a little scared of what will happen if I look in his eyes. I felt his fingers on my left cheek. He slowly stroked his fingers from my ear down to the chin. I closed my eyes and felt his fingers gently clasping my chin. He lightly lifted my head and I felt his warm breath fanning on my face. I opened my eyes and his face was just a few inches away from mine. Is he going to kiss me? Is he really considering that? He looked in my eyes for a good twenty seconds and I was trying to control my convulsive breathing. He leaned closer closing the small gap between our lips and he kissed me. Gently and anxiously. I had never felt like this before - my stomach was clenching, I was still standing there in front of him not sure what will happen next. Our foreheads and noses were pressed together and I was waiting for his next move. I raised my hands and placed them on his hips. That move gave the much needed push. Daniel placed his lips back on mine and I knew it was the beginning of the most amazing kiss in the whole world - he started slowly, like trying to figure me out, his tongue played on my lips like it was begging for my lips to let it in, I parted my lips lightly and then the frenzy started. Our lips and tongues moved in perfect harmony, I felt Daniel's hands on my nape pulling me closer to him.

My baby girls' crib ❤

When decorating Your baby's crib, remember that simple and safe are the perfect keywords to success.

When we put together Elza's crib we couldn't imagine how many questions we will actually have! Do we need a pillow? Should I put toys in her crib? Do we need a crib bumper? What blanket should we choose?

But then our pediatrician suggested to keep it simple because baby won't appreciate her decorated crib as much as we want. So - all the extra stuff beside basic necesities is for parents' eyes.

Baby crib. My wish was to have white crib, we searched through different cribs from different manufacturers. In the end we chose YappyStar crib by YappyKids. YappyKids is a registered trademark by Latvian Patent Association. All edges of the crib are specially rounded, in treatment are used only water based paints and varnishes. YappyStar is a classic design baby crib. One of advantages is that we could take off one long side of a crib, so our baby girl could sleep next to us in an arm reach. For a first time mom it was really important to me. It has three mattress base levels and special teething rails. I am very satisfied with this bed and wouldn't want any other!

Matress. Well matress was a package deal with crib and I'm glad! We bought YappyLatex matress. It is two-sided matress with 6 cm coir (also known as coconut fibre) on one side for inner block and approximately 2 cm latex on the other side. YappyKids recommend for baby to sleep on coir until year and a half and then flip the mattress to yielding side with latex as spinal muscles get stronger. We chose latex because it cools kid’s body in summer, while in winter it conserves heat, it has minimal wear and deformation factor. It's resistive to dust mite and other  inimical bacteria and it is extremely elastic and conforms inflection of kids body.

Bedding. We didn't spend much on bedding sets for the crib. Untill this day in total we have bought four bedding sets that includes blanket cover and a pillow case and two fitted jersey sheets. One of the bedding sets was given to us as a gift from YappyKids when we bought crib and a matress. But the rest we got in a random shop. We chose ANKRAS cotton bedding sets and sheets manufactured in Poland. They were much cheaper and I am satisfied with the quality. In the beginning it feels like material is rough and unpleasant to touch but after You wash, dry and iron it - it's perfect!

Crib pockets. Not everybody needs them. If You have changing table near the crib then these pockets are unnecessary. In our situation changing table is in the other room, so I keep there extra nappie, pajama, pacifiers and gauze cloth. In case if in the middle of the night we have an emergency. While Elza didn't walk, in the upper pockets we kept emergency medicine in case of a fever and runny noise.

Night light. We have chosen nightlight that runs on batteries and changes it's colors. It's simple and working. We put it at the foot of the crib so it wouldn't bother our little girls' sleep but so it would be there at night when she wakes up.

Sleep toy. This pink bunny sleep toy was a gift to Elza from her grandmother. This cute bunny has travelled to Elza from ASDA George UK. Sleep toy preferences between babies are different. It's okay if You don't have any and it's okay if You have too many. In the end the best sleep toy for Your baby is You! ❤

Clean home with toddler? Why not?

I bet I'm not the only one who sees different posts about how we should not apologize to our guests for not having spotless house. And I bet I'm not the only one who sees how people change the context of these posts.

Not having clean living place is not an excuse for just being lazy. If You think that it's fine to sip wine while sitting on a pile of laundry while saying "It's fine I have a dirty house!" then don't be mad at Your kids when they tell You the same words when they will grow up.

Of course situations are different, I'm talking here about pure laziness. I have 16-month-old at home. We live in a small apartment (56sq.m.), my little one currently is reorganizing my closet and carrying everything to other room while taking her toys from other room and putting them in the shelves instead of my T-shirts. When she will finish her task and get to next one I will put everything back. Because that's how I do things in my home. And don't judge me just because I like my home clean. Don't call me a meticulous freak just because I care about it!

Am I a neat-freak? Not really but I like my home clean and nice. I feel bad when there are spilled juice on the floor, smashed banana on the table and toys thrown around while my baby-girl is sleeping. Yes, there are days when I just don't care if there is a warzone at my home or corners are full with mysterious sand. It's not like I couldn't fall asleep if there are dirty dishes in the sink. Let's just see things for what they really are and not justify our laziness!

Brand This and Brand That

I have realised that I despise people who are dropping different brand names on a daily basis. I came to this conclusion when one of my so called friends said approximetly 12 to 15 different brand names during our 9 minute telephone conversation.

I just don't understand why some people buy their baby (who does not walk yet) two pairs of 50$ NIKE boots and brag about it! I can afford it too but in my opinion it's useless!

I understand that people who have money can afford nicer and more expensive things than rest of the world but please, please don't shove it in my face like it's some weird way to meassure Your happiness! And, no, it won't make me want to be You!

P.S. This is purely my rant about one particular situation I was in. You don't have to feel the same way I do. 😉
