we literally planned this trip to maine around seeing loons and hopefully loon babies so we scoured Airbnb listings for mention of loons and only looked at ones close to bodies of water and as soon as we got here we saw a loon family of 2 adults and 2 babies!!!!!!!!! AND JUST NOW I HEARD MY FIRST EVER LOON CALLS SO COOL
we're gonna try to canoe out early in the morning to see if we can get closer!!!! THE FUZZY BABIES
UPDATE MORNING AND SUNSET AAAAAAAAAA fulfilled our wish of seeing a baby ride on a parent and it happened both times!!!!! the other parent was off fishing most of the time so the second baby had to tire itself out lol
