It finally happened. A sad day for Waukesha History. The Moor Mud Baths building, the last resort hotel building of the Waukesha Springs Era, is being demolished. built in 1911, demolished 2023. I was able to take some last pictures of it before it is all gone.

Autism Acceptance Month

I am autistic. My brain works differently than most brains. I struggle with communicating. I have selective mutism. I have sensory issues. I have anxiety and I get nauseous in challenging situations. But I am passionate about animals. I feel deep emotions when I hear music. I connect deeply with the people that I care about. I may have less energy and ability to interact than others, but I am also really smart and can learn almost anything easily. When I love someone, I love fully and completely. I can see all the sides to an argument, nothing is in black in white, everything is in shades of grey. I can’t visualize anything in my brain, but my head is constantly filled with music and words. I struggle with transitions, but I thrive best with variety. Going to the doctor terrifies me, small talk makes me nauseous, and I want to go skydiving someday. I am not broken.
