Y'all this and Chat Blanc didn't prove that the lovesquare reveal is the issue, it's literally Gabriel. He's always the issue. He's always the one who fucks everything up.

They would always be completely fine and frankly provably a better team when they know each other's identities, the issue that comes up is Always the fact that Gabriel is a controlling abusive man who's willing to force his son to do his dirty work even while he's pleading with him not to because Gabriel is an abusive bitch who does not care about his son. And finding out he's Chat Noir just makes him more angry because that's not only someone who's been going directly against his goals, but it's also form of rebellion in his eyes. A loss of control. A direct representation that he needs to snap down harder and make him obey.
