Here is my art thread that has everything to do with my Hazard Cats. Hazard cats as a species are not mine and you can find the thread here. To find all of the hazard cats I own you can find here.Thank you for checking out my blog!
Almost a year ago I started these busts and then proceeded to get busy with life and school. I do intend to finish them. I’m also repudiating the layout on the cat’s pages so I’ve decided as I get each page reformatted, I’ll create their bust. Azoth is first on that list. I knew he was a little fluffy and scruffy looking but it wasn’t until I actually drew him that I came to realize just how scruffy.
So I get extremely excited I finally get my humanoid hazard and then my night got even better. I loves him dearly but in the same night I won a glorpus and proceeded to run around going "Nyooooooom". I think it's too late, I should probably go to bed.
When you just checked your laptop and realized your final submit due a few days ago is still open and not submitted. *headdesk*
On a different note I’m really in the mood to draw so after I get around to required drawings I’m going to be posting a lot more on this blog... after all I narrowed down my inktober prompts to hazards :3 Stay tuned!
I've been meaning to sketch this. I've wanted a nice side picture for my website. Unfortunately I can't make it fit for the site until I get back from my trip but here you go. I might get bored and line it further but there it is right now. Either way some of my hazards are huge. I've size referenced them with each other but until I put them next to my 5' 5" frame do I really get the size of these kitties. By the way, how do you hand? Like what? Orz
Accidentally deleted my last post of this because I’m clumsy Orz
Practicing practicing.
I don’t draw dogs. This is probably my first one in years. Hopefully that will change though since I just got a beautiful German Shepherd/Siberian Husky Hazard Dog.
If you weren’t aware I draw my characters at least once before I assign them a gender and a name. This is so that I can see them in my style and grow attachment. I need something loyal, brave and kind for his name. Although his name is TBD at this moment at least I have given him traits and a gender through drawing.
With that being said I need work. I only have an iPad as anything for drawing for the next 2 weeks and so although it was a learning experience of what it can do, colored pencil be it digital or otherwise has been one of my weaknesses (along with canines, this is a weird exception). This will be an interesting next 2 weeks.
Nous watched as everyone in the group was getting last minute pictures of the trip. During this trip he found Velveteen and Kovu to be an interesting “couple”. They weren’t together but nonetheless Novus shipped them.
As the pictures went on they got sillier and sillier as funny faces and photobombs became more and more prevalent. Then Novus saw his perfect opportunity. Kovu and Velveteen were getting a picture together. He scrambled over and jumped in with an “awwww”.
The picture was shot just as Vel and Kovu were starting to turn around to glare at him. You can tell who has faster reflexes XD
The cats were tired after searching for so long. It was time to get home. This is their short chat after their last night searching.
This is a writing entry in the Hazard Cat Summer Event.
Novus flew high above the party looking for the lost cats. While the rest of the party was stuck searching the ground, he tried to scout ahead and see if he could spot some places where others could get lost. There were so many different terrains in close proximity, no wonder they couldn’t find where they were supposed to be.
They were about done looking for any remaining lost cats as they already found a few unique hazards during their travels and many search parties had already turned back to meet where they started.
Novus landed, “There’s no new places. It’s time to head home.” He looked at both old and new faces in the group. “It’s getting late, I suggest we camp for the night and then head back.”
“I agree.” Nala replied, looking at the weary group. Although many of the cats they knew were back at home caring for their sparks or doing other things there were quite a few there. There was Musa, Kate, Kulu, Novus, and her since the beginning. Then there were the new faces like Kovu, Velveteen and a fire hazard that has yet to tell anyone their name. They gathered around the campfire that the fire hazard made, watching the sparks dance into the starlit sky.
“This has been fun.” Musa grinned, her cheery disposition palpable. The others murmured their agreement and nodded. “A lot has happened, and there was a lot of interesting moments.”
“Like that one time Nala fell into a hole!” Novus burst out laughing, rolling backwards, his wings splayed out on the dirt ground. He remembered how he had to try to fly the larger hazard out, and they all had to use their brainpower to help.
“Hey! It was covered really well!” Nala retaliated, “What about the time Kulu was almost set ON FIRE!”
Kulu giggled remembering how she startled a fire hazard who burst into flames. “It’s ok Nala, I love fire.” As that wasn’t obvious she was close enough to have her pelt lit if the fire hazard in their group did in fact become well, a fire hazard. Her fascination with the stuff was the reason why she so easily befriended one in the first place. They’d became good friends in an instant, telling everything to each other. “Besides, I wasn’t the one to get caught in the vines in the jungle and was screeching for help.”
Novus immediately shot up back into a sitting position, his laughing cut off. “It’s difficult to navigate with these wings.” He pointed out matter-of-factly as if it was obvious that the only reason he got caught in it was because he’d prefer flight even though it lacked any common sense. His blue wings were spread out to prove his point that they don’t fit very well with the jungle.
“Without Nala we’d probably have not found Kovu though!” Musa grinned remembering on how well she was able to navigate the ruins almost flawlessly and find the grumpy cat. She looked at him and the others turned expectantly at him. He was sitting in the back laying down, his head up and alert, pointed in a different direction then the group.
“Ya uh huh.” He said, more in tuned with being on watch, not even noticing the stares. Then one of his fireflies got too close to his face and he lost concentration, swatting it away inadvertently turning his head and froze at all the eyes looking at him. “What?”
Almost the whole group burst out in amusement at how oblivious he was to their whole conversation.
“At least Whiplash wasn’t here. Can you imagine him finding the faes?” Kulu answered her own question with a sneeze and there was another ripple of laughter. Being the fact that Whiplash is allergic to flowers or more specific their pollen he might have accidently set the whole field ablaze with his sneezing.
“Kate found me.” Velveteen chimed in. She’d been quiet this whole evening and finally there was a word from her. Her webbed feet playing with the mud at her paws. She had muddy streaks in her fur to help with camouflage like she tends to but with this bright mirage of cats as the mud peeled off she didn’t reapply. There was no point to. She was found absolutely still in the marsh water and Kate caught her move graciously, turning from a statue into a skilled huntress.
Kate nodded. “I was just curious and lucky.” She yawned looking up at the stars and the late night sky. “Either way it’s a long journey back and we need to get our rest for tomorrow.” A ripple of agreement washed through the cats as they looked more and more drained, taking turns yawning.
“I’ll take first watch.” Kovu claimed his red eyes now reflecting the night.
One by one the cats curled up around the warm fire dreaming about the adventures they had and the new friends they gained. It had been a long time since the journey’s start but it had been exciting and great for each and every one of them, even if they don’t admit it. It was hard and sometimes challenging but well worth it. Kate looked over them one last time with a smile, nodded to Kovu, and curled up too. She slept happily that night.
Quick drawing waiting for dinner at Macaroni grill of some of my “no children”. I have a group that I swear their favorite phrase is “no”
One is rather independent and the other is a grumpy recluse.
