Arduino Day 2014.
Packed up and ready to go bright and early in the morning.
Box full of goodies
Might get a chance to see one of these in action!
Sorting wires, someone has to do it.
What not to expect from the workshop!!
Just to temper the expectations and to make you slightly afraid of horses.
(yes the fire-breathing horse uses Arduino)
The Workshop
Spaces are limited please register*
This is an introduction to the basics of the Arduino Environment
We'll talk a little about circuits, inputs/outputs and get you well on your way to controlling things with your Arduino.
It is aimed at people who have no or very little experience with Arduino. It's aimed to be a foundation for all your future tinkering.
If you have lots of Ardunio experience, then this isn't the workshop for you!!
Look forward to seeing you there!
Arduino can be used in so many ways, it really is a case of your imagination (and budget) is the limit. The web is full of tutorials to help you get started and those a little more complicated, like this cool yet very helpful signal jackets for cyclists.

Looking forward to seeing you next week!
Arduino - what is it in 7 sentences?
Arduino is whats called a ‘microcontroller’.
You can plug inputs (such as sensors and buttons, etc) into an Arduino.
The sensors keep track of what’s happening in their environment.
You can tell the Arduino to listen to these sensors.
If something happens to these sensors, you can tell the Arduino to do something.
You can also plug outputs (lights, motors, sounds, etc.) into an Arduino.
You can tell the Arduino to make these outputs do things.
We will be teaching you the very basics of Arduino and inputs/putputs, using fun simple projects. Here's an Arduino and piezo speaker playing the Mario Bros theme tune.
Arduino Day
Where/When
Ardunio Day: 29th March
