lost and hungry || shu & aichi
Contemplating what to do with the day, it was becoming a strange transition he was caught up; moving from the expected panic and struggle to come to grips with the scenario, inching to some sort of acceptance. Perhaps out of hopelessness. Who knew? It was starting to become a blur; a feeling of detachment, of sorts.
Prompted by the inquiry, Aichi peeked over the tall collar of his longcoat, turning in order to face the brunet directly. His tone had been gentle, discreet, and judging by that question, he was new to the facility. Another presumably normal High School student yanked into this convoluted game.
"Of course, there’s a kitchen nearby; some area in the canteen where you can eat if you choose. I’ll show you the way, the layout is a little confusing to begin with".
Leaving little of a break, he ushered the brunet after him, moving with a strong start. A nervous disposition was something normal for him as much as the other, but it might have been experience that was bringing out the budding confidence that had been there before misfortune befell him.
≪ ø ≫ The kindly stranger answered his question and currently leads him down the hall towards what he hopes is sustenance. He's glad that he approached an amiable spirit first; if he was met by a rude rejection, he isn't very sure what sort of position he would be in. Though he experienced people who were difficult to befriend, the fact remains that he didn't particularly enjoy breaking past those prickles to see the person's true nature beneath. Well, maybe he likes it a little-- it's heartwarming to see people open up.
While the two walk, Shu tries to catch up to stranger, wanting to walk by his side rather than stare at his back. The pace the other boy set is a brisk one, but eventually, Shu is in a position to make proper conversation. He swallows some of his anxiety and asks, "Er, what's your name?" The simple question leaves his throat in an unintentionally cautious tone, though he's trying to be friendly.
Before he the other can answer, his stomach growls again, particularly enraged this time. He forces out a chuckle. His stomach, he can tell, is entirely empty, and he isn't aware of how much time has passed since he had a decent meal. He wishes he was at home, where he could simply look into the fridge and find something to rid him of his ails.
